We booked my husbands 30th bday party here. Avery was fantastic from start to finish. It was literally the easiest party I have ever planned!!! Communication was excellent from start to finish and my husband and our friends had the best time! I would absolutely plan my next event here. It’s such a beautiful location. Perfect experience!!!

Orlando tragedy today and Ember management has given free drinks and food to everyone to bring people together to heal. They held a candlelight service to remember those lost in this senseless violence. Besides this nice gesture the food and drinks are great and the environment is awesome.

The bar/club is perfect for a classy night. What I love most is the outside terrace and look of it. They have a nice VIP area and the staff are friendly and attentive all night in the VIP. They always have events there and are a pretty well known spot to have a great time. With that being said they are very packed so you may want to get there early. They also have a great menu of food and they taste pretty good. I’ve had flatbreads and calamari and they were all decent. Definitely the place to go if your in your 30’s and you don’t want to be in a traditional club.

I came to Ember for drinks and an appetizer and it was a let down. I ordered calamari that were on the gummy side and didn’t seem fresh in my opinion. The service was lacking despite it being empty. The server brought my appetizer and drink and never came back. I wanted to have some more drinks but I shouldn’t have to track down people that work for tips. I sat in the outdoor patio because I’m a smoker and that’s pretty much the only reason I’ve chosen to give it two stars. My co-workers love this place but I really don’t see the draw of coming here.

Hey… you …we like it here… don’t be giving your employees a hard time for doing their jobs and trying to please a bit too much. No hard feelings! Be nice to your employees!

Too many poor things contributed to my overall impression. We had a group of 11 for dinner on a Saturday night at 7. We were the only ones in the place… literally our 11 was it. Yet the server repeatedly justified slow service, as «you have a big party». More than once we had to ask where our bar drinks were and we got«they’re working on them». By «they’re», she meant the 3 bartenders talking at the bar. Bruschetta was all tomatoes and very watery. Ordered the margarita flatbread and it was crashed tomatoes and like a 5 cheese Mexican blend. Not at all a Margarita pizza and overall was terrible. There was some good food — calamari, hummus and black and blue flatbread were all pretty good. Our group had a good time, but slow service and several poorly made dishes would not justify a return visit. Go for drinks, skip the food.

Every time I come in I remember why I don’t frequent this bar. As a downtown resident who frequently goes out this is the slowest service with attitude in the downtown area even when it’s not busy. The bartenders spend more time taking to each other and in their phones then they do making drinks. 20 min tonight to get a cocktail with two bartenders and no line at the bar just a dozen people sitting at the bar with drinks in front of them.

I came here after the IOA5k Corporate run to meet up with my wife and some of her colleagues from work. I went to the outside bar area, and sat at the bar. I was cheerfully greeted by Sarah, she was very kind and gracious all evening long. I ordered a Pub burger and some wine. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich and a Blue Moon beer. I did notice that the orders were taking a little longer than I expected, but it was well worth the wait. My burger was cooked perfectly and the steak fries were so hot I had to wait a while for them to cool down. I looked over at my wife, she was too busy eating her chicken sandwich to say anything. Both dishes were excellent and Sarah was on top of things but never overbearing. Definitely worth a try next time you are in Downtown Orlando.

Ember is a nice bar with a very Miami’esque interior that is great for drinks and events. I’ve been to Ember a handful of times for events and work happy hours. I haven’t been on a regular weekend night because it gets so packed, but the vast amount of space tells me it would still be fun. Ember is split up into two areas: inside and outside. The inside is a nice bar area that is your familiar«bar as an island» structure. The inside stands out from other bars in Orlando because it is mostly hardwood and is well-maintained. The staff has been fairly friendly and quick to answer any questions. While the inside is nice, the outside area is what makes this bar. It is a huge beautiful area that looks like something straight out of Miami. It has a similar build to the inside in terms of being a «bar as an island» set up, but it does have 1 or 2 secondary bars around the perimeter to allow you to get drinks(I recommend the perimeter areas because they have the lowest traffic and bartenders who are a little more focused on talking to you rather than handling tons of drinks). The drink prices in both the inside and outside are decent, including a 2 for 1 happy hour for some drinks. Overall, Ember is a nice bar with an awesome outside area that is great for events and, I would imagine, some late night dancing.

Bartender was nice. Her boyfriend chomping at or whispering in her ear trying to get it on at the bar makes me want to puke. No one wants to see that. Especially after eating mediocre food that took 30min+ to get to me. I’m not here for«wine down». Don’t assume I know what that is or look at me like I’ve got two heads when I say I’m not here for that. Also, were they serving bbq sauce? Tasted like water. Only consolation was that a favorite flight facilities tune came on as I was leaving. First time in Orlando as an adult. Get me back to Philly, and market the place as a gay bar with no food.

Wine Down Wednesday review: Not bad, not bad at all. The price and unlimited wine? Pretty good. You would think that for the price the wines wouldn’t be the greatest selection, but the do have some pretty good wines. 4 stars because they«sell» the idea of unlimited wine, mimosas and sangria with finger food and we barely saw any food. But considering the price alone, specially if you call ahead and reserve… $ 10.00 for a couple of hours of unlimited wine is not bad at all!

Overall I do enjoy coming to this place on Sundays; however I attempted to make reservations for this Sunday brunch as of Tuesday, followed up with an additional request on Friday and Saturday with no response back. Was informed yesterday after calling that all reservations were booked and that only 5 open seats were available on a first come first serve… brunch opens at noon… made it to venue at 11:30 and all 5 available seats were taken… really…just a note to management it would have been nice to be responsive per online reservation requests. whether its to say confirmed or not… just saying

I could have definitely loved this place. It is very cool looking, it has an outdoor bar/courtyard to the side of it which is where we ended up hanging out. But I can’t ignore the foul smell inside. When we walked in the front door, my first reaction was«cool» followed by an immediate«what is that smell?» which lead us to walk out to the courtyard to escape it. We had 2 coronas($ 9) while watching the game and took a good look around at the crowd which I was very pleased with. it was very diverse in age and race and everyone seemed to be really enjoying themselves. We planned to stay longer but we headed back inside to use the restrooms to find that smell on the other end of the bar as well. In addition, a bathroom attendant was present, which honestly, unless I am in a busy nightclub, always freaks me out.(if you want to avoid the attendant like me, use the handicap stall, which has a sink, soap and paper towels) After leaving the restroom, we decided to stay inside an order another beer, but quickly decided it was time to depart because the smell was overwhelming. The only way to describe this smell is a combination of an old bar, with dirty tap lines, poor quality of cleaning within the bar area, and dirty rags used to wipe down the whole bar and all of the tables… which must have happened over a long period of time and might not be able to be cleaned without a deep cleaning crew or a complete remodel. I’m sorry to say that unless the latter happens, we probably won’t be returning unless we want to watch a game and sit outside only, but there are too many places close by that can fulfill my needs without worrying about a stench.

Ember is really all things for me. I could write a super long review about this place, but I’ll do my best to keep it a manageable length. Ember has been the go-to bar for my friends and I since college. On any given night when we were out for a night downtown, Ember was always the first stop. Good drink prices(3 for 1 happy hour on Friday nights). A place to get a little buzzed before moving on. On the weekends they have a DJ bumping some pretty good jams. I’ve also dined at Ember quite a few times for both lunch and dinner. Their food is solid! I actually really like their salads. The flatbreads are quite tasty as well. Keeping up with many of the other bars and restaurants downtown, Ember also has a Wednesday night wine event called Wine Down Wednesdays. $ 20 for unlimited beer, wine, sangria, mimosas and appetizers from 5:00 — 9:00PM. Great for a GNO! The indoor-outdoor setup is nice. On days where the weather is nice it’s lovely to sit outside on their porch. On the other hand, it’s nice having the indoor options when it’s rainy or cold. I’ve also hosted some professional events at this venue in the past and they are super accommodating in terms of moving the set up around to fit your needs. Just about the only thing I haven’t done at Ember is their brunch. But that’s next on my list!

One word on the food, «wow!» I went to Ember to celebrate a friend’s birthday and was starving. I was happy to find out there was food, but I had no idea how good it would be. I tried the chicken poblano empanadas and the bbq chicken flatbread. Both were fabulous and the portions were large enough to share. On a Friday night the DJ was spinning good R&B and hip hop. The crowd was a mix of 25 and up. Bar service was quick and friendly. TVs had sports for viewing. While there was dancing, it seemed to be more of a hang out spot than dance club.

Went to this place as an after party after a wedding. All of us ended up getting there before the bride and groom and the place refused to bring out the prepaid food. Very frustrating dealing with the staff. It had a nice feel to the place but the music was blaring. Could hardly talk to anyone. It wouldn’t have been as bad if the music wasn’t terrible. Once the food was finally released it was finished pretty quick, but they said they closed the kitchen and would not bring out more. On the plus side the food was pretty good and the bartender was quick and helpful. All in all it is not somewhere that I would choose to go to again if I was in the area.

I wasn’t too impressed with Ember; it felt like an average place that lacked any feature that would make me want to come back on a regular basis. They do have a 3 for 1 offer that was pretty good(depending on what you order). I ordered Rum & Coke; while I did get three separate drinks, I’m pretty sure they only served me enough rum to make a single drink because I did not taste a single drop of liquor. I realized beer was also an option so I ordered 3 Samuel Adams and 3 Newcastles, at $ 10 for 6 beers, that was a great deal. The food? Good, but not great. The blue cheese flatbread was the tastiest, the beef was good, the shrimp tasted as if they were previously frozen and the potato skins were dry. I have no complaints about our service; it was a packed house but we she was attentive and had a good attitude throughout the night even though we had a rather large party. I’d probably come on a regular basis if I worked in the area, but I highly doubt I’d return to the area just for Ember. It’s good, but not great.

So I had to think about this review because I was there for a private event recently. Ember wasn’t a bad bar to go to for the party we were having. The DJ played some overall good music to dance too. I didn’t know any of the music, but was able to dance to it by following the beat. The drinks weren’t overly priced either and they had one of my favorite ales. Overall, I would have to say okay because I can’t form too much of a bad opinion about it. I can say that if you are looking for a good place to host a party this would be a decent location as some of the other places aren’t open as late as Ember.

We frequented Ember for events when we lived in Orlando and when we were back for a visit we decided to have our One Year anniversary party here. The staff was extremely nice and helpful from the beginning to the end. The location itself is convenient, despite being downtown, due to several parking garages within a short walk. We ordered a fruit /cheese plate and some sliders. All of which were a hit, and definitely fed more people than we anticipated, but we were told that the kitchen staff would get to have the leftovers, so we were happy with that since they worked so hard to put it together! The bartenders were quick to take care of our group despite the busy nature of the rest of the place — there were several other events happening at the same time, so it was pretty packed. Overall: A It’s a good venue to go for hanging out, and a good venue to hold a party or event!
