I wish I could rate it higher because the service was really great and friendly and the food was pretty good, but it was a bit pricey for the small portion sizes. The menu shown on Unilocal isn’t updated! All of the meat+pasta meals are around $ 15 – 16, not $ 12 – 13. We ordered garlic cheesy bread as an appetizer. It wasn’t on the menu when we sat down, but it was $ 7 and the best part of the dinner! The margherita pizza was tasty but not the absolute best. The chicken carbonara was a pretty good portion and tasted good! The chicken piccata was a miss, without lemon flavor and with the pasta being a bit too salty. Overall, just okay food and pricier than expected/for the amount of food we got.

Our first evening in Orlando after a very long day of travel we finally checked in to our hotel. Me and my significant other were tired and very hungry. We wanted a good meal but didn’t want to go far. Unilocal found us a great meal at a fantastic price. Famas is a genuine gem. We started off with salads which were fresh and tasty, then we had pizza. The dough was light and airy. The artichokes, mushrooms and green olives on it were delightful. Service was top notch and the atmosphere brought me back to a little Italian bistro I had visited in Tuscany last year. Don’t let the strip mall fool you. I encourage anyone visiting the Orlando area to stop in and have a taste

Great food. I loved the pesto gnocchi and the service is excellent. The kids had cheese pizzas and husband had a calzone. Everyone was happy and ate way too much! I’d suggest this as a great place for dinner.

I stopped in here with my son, his wife, their 4 and 7 year old after a long day at Sea World. Being part Italian and loving our pasta, we found Famas on our IPhones and headed there immediately. It was quaint, had excellent service, the food was homemade, hot when it should have been and the salads were cold and fresh. They were generous with more than a ¼ glass of wine. I’d talked to the waiter and the owner… Italians of course, and it was the perfect way to rest before we headed back to The Villages. I will definitely go again. Thank you Famas.

Myself and two classmates came to Famas for lunch a few days ago and if was amazing! We got a pizza, two salads and cheese sticks and we loved everything, no complaints. We will be back to try the lasagna soon! We also did a video review which can be found here:

Oops, I had meant to review this as the last of my Orlando trip reviews. I was feeling like some pasta on our last night, so I went on Unilocal and found Famas. I was a little confused because I found two different addresses(same street but different number). Turns out Famas has a pizza take-out side and then a restaurant side. So pick either address, you will be fine. The restaurant itself is cozy and welcoming, with a cute little wine bar at the back. The owner and his wife were present, and joked around with us all night. One of my friends asked for a recommendation on what to order, and the owner replied, «Everything. Everything is good here.» Not too helpful for my friend, but he was speaking the truth. In the end, everyone was really happy with their dishes. I ordered my usual choice when eating Italian, which is the white clam linguine. It was seriously the BEST white clam linguine I’ve ever had. The clams were plentiful, the white wine sauce deliciously garlicky. I cleaned my plate, which NEVER happens! We ordered the tiramisu after the owner mentioned that everything is made in-house, even the Caesar dressing. You can really tell they put a lot of thought and care into their food. Tiramisu was incredible, as we expected. Even though we had to waddle out of there, it was worth every gut-busting calorie. You can’t miss going to this place if you’re ever in Orlando.

Had the veal marsala and the husband had the chicken Alfredo. It was delicious but needed a bit more salt. Overall the food was delish, and we will do it again.

So, we showed up with the family(includes a 5 and 3 year old) and walked in to the restaurant… immediately we were worried, there was no one there but us. We almost left, but it was getting late and loading the kids back into the car seemed like more work than it would be worth… BESTDECISIONEVER! This place was amazing!!! The food was excellent, the salad fresh, and the people working were great! This was night one of a week long trip and I wouldn’t be surprised if we end up here 2 more times before we head back to Phoenix. Try it, it is a hole-in-the-wall jewel! You won’t regret the decision.

Family owned Italian restaurant. The experience was very nice. Excellent selection of wines. The menu had enough entrees to satisfy the picky customer. The owners name is Franco and he is usually behind the bar. Located in a strip mall along Central Florida Parkway and very close to Sea World, this restuarant has been there for 15 years. The view is somewhat hidden from the highway, but that doesn’t stop the success from this business. In fact, it was quite busy when I visited the place on a Wednesday evening. One side of the building is the pizzaria and the other side is the restuarant. It was nice to see both sides were busy. Like every new restaurants I try, I usually order the basic meal. It is the only way to judge whether it is worth come back. The premise is that if they can’t make the basic of basic meals then everything else on the menu would not meet my expectations. I went to order the«Ravioli with Sausage», house salad, and their homemade Tortellini soup. The Ravioli with Sausage was made perfectly. Most places that serve Ravioli would have the edges of the Ravioli hard, which meant it was overcooked. My Ravioli was prepared just right. The sausage was a nice match to the cheese ravioli. The soup of the day was my favorite. The Tortellini soup that they made for me tasted almost the same I had in Bologna, Italy. My only reget is that I didnt ask for another bowl. LOL. Overall, I would highly recommend Famas. I am definitely going to be a regular here.

Everything was excellent! Pizza, gnocchi service. Highly recommended eating here. Service was great. We did not have a variety of food, but what we had was very good.
