I come here almost every weekend for their lunch deal on sushi. Who can go wrong with a soup or salad and three sushi rolls for eleven dollars? The service is decent. I wish the restaurant wasn’t so dark but I honestly couldn’t care less because the food is too great to want to put cons on this place.

I have been eating sushi regularly my entire life so I have been to a fair share of Japanese restaurants. Below are some reasons why I frequent this place: 1. The price is right 2. The rolls are high quality: sticky rice is the perfect texture, densely packed, great balance of fish vs. rice 3. The atmosphere is great: music is relaxing, not packed, polite service

We fellow martial artists congregate here after we train lol. My master took me here for the first time, he said this was his«secret sushi spot.» He knew the owner, Sonny, nice guy by the way. I was very impressed! Nice ambiance, clean, great music, and most importantly great food! First time trying raw sushi and my god that spicy yellowtail do not play and I usually don’t like miso soup, I’ve tried plenty of miso soups and wow literally the best miso soup I’ve ever had! Service was great they catered to us very well. I’m leaving my old sushi spot for this one… yeah it’s that serious. I will bring my whole village and other ninja clans here. Thank you Fuji Yama family, Bun

The sushi choices were good, many, and varied. There were some rolls that seemed to be unique house rolls. The atmosphere is two-fold. The bar area is sophisticated and the front sitting area is very casual. Perfect for lunch or dinner.

We went there after reading some great reviews in Unilocal.Tried fried rice and some Sushi rolls. I loved it. The food and drinks are not cheap but its pretty decent. Good ambiance, servers were pretty nice. I would go to the place again if I am around the area. We were there on a Saturday and the place was not that crowded. The place is great for family, loved the environment.

I love the place. You won’t be disappointed. Best values are the lunch specials. Dinner is great too, but prices shoot up.

This place definitely has the best value for lunch. 3 sushi rolls for less than $ 12? And a soup or salad? You can’t beat that! It’s also not just plain rolls like a California roll, they have all sorts of varieties of fried and with fresh fish. The ginger salad was a good portion with plenty of dressing. Lately, all Japanese restaurants I’ve been to have been lacking ginger dressing on the salad. The dressing is creamier than other places, which isn’t my favorite but still good nonetheless. The service was very quick and friendly, it seems like the waitresses all help each other. I got in and out of there for lunch in about 30 minutes, plus it was really busy which is always comforting to see at a sushi place because it shows they aren’t sitting on the fish too long.

This sushi place is outstanding. We arrived for happy our and ordered a boatload of sushi. I can’t even remember all the names of the different type of rolls we ordered. I can say this, not one was bad. They were delicious. The Krab Rangoon was one of the best I’ve ever had. I have to recommend this place to anyone that happens to be near the University of Central Florida.

Don’t want to brag, but I lived in a city that has the biggest Japanese community outside Japan, so I know a good sushi place when I see one. Even though I love America, these Asian fusion restaurants are not Japanese restaurants and they mess everything up putting avocato and spicy sauce everywhere they can. With that said, this is the best Japanese restaurant I’ve been in the north hemisphere. Authentic and tasty Japanese food with a fair price.

Definitely my go to sushi place in Orlando, my boyfriend and I come in or get take out at least once every week or two. Can’t beat their lunch specials and the sushi always tastes great. Service has always been fantastic up until the last couple of months it’s hit or miss. Really all depends on which server you get though. Regardless, I’ll keep coming back :)

After watching Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations: Toyko I was dying for some sushi, but didn’t want to go to a place with $$$(all the sushi place in downtown Orlando are). I was really hungry, so I got a house salad, fried dumplings, and Spicy Tuna and Tampa rolls. I am glad that the rolls only came with 4 pieces each, after the dumplings and salad. It hit all the right places and filled me up. What bumped it up to 4-stars was all of this was under $ 13. For sushi that is amazing!

We came here for lunch before our flight back home to jersey on a recommendation from my cousin, who is a regular and loves this place. The sushi was very tasty, take your pick of any of the specialty rolls and you won’t be disappointed. I always try the a la carte items like urchin sushi or scallop sashimi if a sushi place has them. Here, the urchin was a little better than most places but the scallop could’ve been better. Their chirashi was very tasty as well, very fresh. Unfortunately, the service was very mediocre the day we went, which my cousin said was not the norm for them. Granted we had a big order, but at the time of our visit there weren’t very much other customers and we were still served later than other parties. It might have had to do with the fact that the assistant sushi chef was late, but I’ve been to places run by a sole chef that gets by without much difficulty. I’m going to give the benefit of the doubt and say I would come back here the next time we make a trip down to Orlando.

I’ve lived nearly ten years in Japan and have been a fan of sushi for as long as I can think. I ate sushi daily while living there. This is, without doubt, my favorite restaurant. The owners make a concerted effort to provide a fresh, significant experience each time. Notice I didn’t say fresh sushi, which is always the case, as the owner hand picks each order of fish and vegetables for the day, but I said ‘experience’. Sports and news are on the big screens, traditional Japanese music and shoji panels with era art round out the ambience. Humble service tops off a wonderfully prepared meal at this family owned restaurant. Walk through this door and you are family as you are humbly greeted by the proprietor, an artist in sushi making, and his wife, a hostess who makes it her priority to make you happy. Voted the #4 best sushi restaurant in Central Florida by AD Thompson, USA Today’s Orlando Expert on Central Florida attractions and restaurants. When I want a truly good sushi meal, complete with ambience and a sense of family, this is where I come. Put it on your list!

It’s time I did an update since I’ve been coming here and greatly enjoying their sushi lunch specials. Two rolls for $ 8.99 the third one is only $ 1.99 more. The rolls are meaty and my favorite so far is the kamikaze roll stuffed full of spicy raw salmon, alvocado, and crunchy tempura bits, I love it!

I love, love, love Fuji. Definitely the best sushi I’ve had in the UCF area. Everything is served at the perfect temperature and the sushi is fresh as can be. If you don’t like sushi, have no fear. Their menu includes a ton of other dinner specials and options. Personal recommendation — the teppan dinners. Certainly enough for that meal and the next. Their lunch special cannot be beat. They also do buy two get one free roll specials throughout the week. Don’t forget to show a student ID for a 10% discount!

The lunch specials are great! I really love the basic rolls and I love that the size of the rolls are small so you can eat them in one bite! The service was attentive. With my Unilocal check-in I got a FREE order of crab ragoon too! I will definitely be back for more sushi!

One of my girlfriends and I have been twice in the past week, if that says anything! My sushi-buddy and I are always on the lookout to try new spots as we are very picky about our sushi. She likes cooked, I like raw, and we both require a non-fishy smelling place to eat. Haha. Anyhow, we last week tried Fujiyama Sushi for the first time since it had a high star average and positive reviews on Unilocal. Our server was very friendly and told us which were her favorite, which were the most popular, and which she didn’t care for. I appreciate when someone is honest about not liking everything on the menu… I didn’t keep track of which rolls we ordered, but it was a mixture of friend and raw and they were all great! Our eyes are always bigger than our stomachs and out of the 5 rolls we ordered, we took half of everything home. Our server told us that Wednesdays and Thursdays they have a special for buy 2 rolls get the 3rd one for free(off of rolls #1−30). After tennis Wednesday night, my friend and I decided to go back! It was just as good and we, again, ordered way too much food. I will definitely go back again.

Das Sushi ist ok, vielleicht mehr als das. Aber zu groß für den europäischen Geschmack. Das Restaurant selbst wirkt etwas ungemütlich und dunkel.
