I love this location more than words can say. The food is phenomenal. The people are friendly and patient with you as you decide your order. There are pictures around in case you’re new to Caribbean food and aren’t sure what to pick. This is a must do place for anyone in the Orlando area!

We’ve had the Patties, Jerk Chicken, Oxtail, Curry chicken and shrimp, beef stew and more over the 8 years we’ve been going here. … all have been tasty and generous. Caribbeans line up regularly for this. The music and the staff are icing on the cake. Part of my regular rotation.

Very good. I liked the spicy beef patty with cocoa bread. The curry chicken was good but I found a few hard pieces of rice, More than I should have. The customer service was just ok. A little rude when I was asking questions about the patties. I do feel like I would return. My husband LOVED the jerk chicken and wings.

Don’t go here if your in a rush because it takes a while to get your food but the food is better at this location then the one near Waterford lakes. The food is more fresh especially the rice.

Let me start off by saying I’m a huge fan of Jamaican food, I was in the neighborhood and I decided to stop into this«Golden Krust» location, I ordered take out some patty’s & two orders of King Fish, I live 15mins away from this location, by the time I reached home 15mins later my food smelled spoiled! I did attempt to try piece of the fish, It was rock hard and overly fried! You could barely bit through it, By far this has been one of my worst experience eating Jamaican food!!! I think they probably Reefridge and reheat to resell these items, I would NOT suggest this location to anyone! Please save your money & time! The food was HORRIBLE!!! I will not be coming back to that location ever again!

Not understanding why the line was so long. I had a flavorless veggie plate. Could not even finish it. What a perfect waste of money and time.

The patties are excellent! We tried the spicy beef, mild beef, shrimp and spinach. I ordered 7 but did not receive the jerk chicken that I was supposed to and some were labeled incorrectly hence the removal of 1 star. Their pepper sauce is rocking! Super flavorful with a nice kick, probably extra hot to most. We also ordered the oxtail with beans and rice and cabbage and a whole fried fish with beans and cabbage. The oxtail was tender and pretty good. Not the best I’ve had but definitely not the worst. I’d order it again. The fish was kind of soggy and way overcooked at the same time. I would defiantly not order this again! For us the patties and the pepper sauce will bring us back again, though we’ll probably only order the patties.

I’ve eaten at many Golden Krust locations and this one is above average in terms of food quality. The locations in South Florida are better, I believe the close you are to Jamaica the better the authenticity of the food(my humble opinion). With that said the food is still good and the variety is same like at most locations, except barbecue chicken, they only do wings here. This is also the only place I’ve everrrrr seen Curry Chicken with carrots in it, when I enquired I heard the cook is Guyanese. The only thing I dislikes on the menu was the beef patty, I’d rather eat a reheated frozen beef patty than one of their’s.

This place makes me happy. I love eating food with my hands like a good piece of fried chicken or nice crusty piece of pizza. The name Golden Krust doesn’t scream Caribbean, but the food definitely fits the bill. We got the oxtail and the chicken curry. The oxtail may be the best oxtail in town. It has a nice beefy flavor and the hint of sweetness which makes it crave-worthy. The chicken curry was very good as well, but do remember that you have bones to work through. Both came with a side of stir fried mixed veggies(think food court Bourbon chicken veggies with cabbage as the main ingredient) and they were cooked well(still a bit of toothiness and not mushy). Ask for a side of their scotch bonnet sauce and you’re good to go. Would definitely come here again. I think it’s a bit better than Singh’s Roti Shop.

Oohkay… so I wanted Jamaican I’ve been wanting it for a couple of days now so my uncle took me to this place. Coming in it smelt wonderful the line was moving at a nice pace and as I began to look at the menu is got really excited! Everything looked good and smelled great. Being that I’d never been there before I was a little hesitant with ordering. I wanted the jerk chicken plate and BBQ wings. Well the cashier was a little impatient, pushy, and snappy! I didn’t appreciate that. when I asked for the jerk chicken she responded with we don’t have chicken you mean wings but the menu clearly said chicken! Then once she fixed the plate she rung it up and gave me my total without even asking if I’d like anything else. I finally got all of my order out and the price was a bit high for Jamaican but I am also used to corner store prices for two plates, beef patty and a slice of cake was $ 24. Once we got to the house to enjoy our food I was disappointed. ITWASALLDRY the beans and rice the jerk wings the cabbage, the cake. I am soooooooo disappointed. The BBQ wings were good though a little salty but good. It took 3 cups of water to get through 4 wings and cabbage lol I liked that they gave a lot of food and although not what I was looking for in taste it was fulfilling. I was especially saddened by the cake being that red velvet is my favorite the flavor was good but like everything else it WASDRY! Ambiance: 4 stars; The lighting was good, atmosphere inviting and there was seating to dine in if you’d like Food: 3 stars; SODISAPPOINTINGDRYDRYDRYANDDRY Drinks: 3 stars; they had a nice selection of authentic juices but nothing else Service: 3 stars; I didn’t like the feeling of being rushed and she wasn’t very friendly

Food was fresh and cooked well. I ate curry chicken, oxtails, and jerk chicken from here. My favorite is the curry chicken. Don’t forget to try the rum cake, I enjoyed it. Make sure you take advantage of the online coupon thru Unilocal

Fantastic low key Jamaican spot. When we got there at 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon, the line was almost out the door which I took as a good sign. Service was fast and friendly and the food was great. Also, unless you’re sharing with 5 people, don’t order a large because my takeout box weighed about 10 pounds. Combos come with meat, rice, steamed cabbage, plantains, and a drink. Prices are very good for the amount and quality of the food.

It’s like a fast food jamacian spot. Food wasn’t the best but it definitely hit the spot. I had the oxtails which is my favorite but they had a lot of fat on them. Next visit I’ll try something else.

Visited this place around lunch time and it was a line. There was a guy selling cds/dvds on the side. Food was ok. Not the best Jamaican good I’ve had. The beef patty was dry and the mac n Cheese was disgusting. Only giving three stars because I had the jerk chicken abd rice with plantain n cabbage and that was good… willing to try another location closer to my hometown. Prices weren’t as bad. Abd they had a variety of Caribbean foods. There was ref refrigerated island punch available by the bottle as well.

Had a hankering for some Caribbean-style cuisine and Golden Krust popped up in my handy Unilocal search engine. I was also sold because I was able to get a free beef patty with check in! I would say at best Golden Krust is just ok. I ordered the Jerk Chicken, rice, cabbage and plantains with my free beef patty to-go. My chicken was spicy but pretty dry, the cabbage was cooked well but could have used a bit more flavor, the rice was ok but the plantains hit the mark. My beef patty was very traditional and delish! I could have ate 2 more of those! I don’t know if I will dine at Golden Krust again… I may just go back for some beef patties. You do get a large portion for $ 7 that could feed two people. Meh at best.

Jamaican block party in your mouth! I’m quite new to most Caribbean cuisine but I’m a proponent of massive flavor. I’ve heard good things about Golden Krust and despite the negative connotations that usually rear their nasty head when the word«chain» and«restaurant» are used in the same sentence, my girlfriend and I decided to give it a whirl. Curry goat with rice and peas for me: Delicious, relentless fists of flavor pound the palate with every bite. The goat itself was fall-off-the-bone tender and the chunks of carrot and potato were delicate. The curry is thick with the obvious star being curry powder. Its heavy on the garlic in a good way with bay rounding out the flavor profile. I’ve never taken a beating that I enjoyed this much! Oxtail for the lady: Much less subdued, more like a firm familiar hug from someone or something you can’t quite place. It was delightful, rich, and sweet. In my humble opinion, a caramelization of sugar started the base of the braise, followed by red wine, and again rounded out with garlic and bay. It was delicious, but much to rich and sweet for me to have more than a couple bites. We got a free beef patty for checking it. I had a bite but was much to engaged in a battle of will trying to finish the massive serving of goat! The pastry was crisp and the beef filling flavorful. Everything one wants from a solid patty. For the record, I’m not kidding about the block party. There was literally a hype man singing the reggae blaring from the speakers and handing out bootleg copies of what was playing. The interior colors are bright and and Caribbean inspired. If your ever in need of a good jam party you can refer to the many advert posters on the wall hyping the local parties. Great food, good vibes, all around fun experience in cuisine and culture. I will be back with a empty stomach and a palate ready for the title fight.

Wouldn’t have known about this place if it weren’t for my cousin who is a HUGE fan of Golden Krust, because I ain’t gonna lie, the patties here are YUMMMM! Located in a shopping plaza with Aldi and an Asian Restaurant and I think business store, it does look a bit sketchy. But don’t mind it and go right to the restaurant. :P I haven’t tried any of their entrée foods here yet, but I eventually will. But my eyes are directed right to the patties and nothing else. SPICYBEEF, SPICYBEEF, SPICYBEEF. This is one of their biggest sellers and trust it can go quick, but luckily the random times I have gone, they got some stored in back. So just ask :) Even if the name does say spicy, it’s just a hint of heat to flavor everything and it won’t burn. Down it with some Cream Soda or Kola Champagne and you my friend, have one of the best combos ;) Staff here pretty friendly and place is kept clean. So if you’re ever in the West side of the city, definitely stop by. If I can make the drive, you can too ;)

First time having their patties was actually at a Jamaican restaurant in Las Vegas that ships them from the east coast. Being able to actually in a restaurant was dope! Despite of being a franchise, as I have gone to other locations in NYC, dishes here are certainly authentic. This location is quite remote and sketchy as we were one of the four parked in the shopping center. I appreciate how they were still putting out fresh food when we walked in at 7pm. I decided to go for their oxtail stew that comes rice and peas, cabbage and fried plantains( ). I may be overhyping it when I say this oxtail stew is the best I’ve had but it really is a panty dropper! Meat easily falls off the bone and that sauce… oohhh that SAWSE. TIP: ask for extra gravy of whatever dish you end up getting over that rice. As far as their patties, I usually go for the spicy beef. I’m glad someone serves them all the way in Las Vegas because they’re so good I’d have it everyday. Overall, Golden Krust is perhaps one of the best Jamaican restaurants I have gone to in this country. Feel free to prove me wrong but this’ll do for now. I will definitely come back whenever I’m around the area.
