Once upon a time, in a city where world-class hospitality is king, was a little hotel that apparently didn’t the memo that customer service is a very, very important thing. Honoring reservations is something that you expect from a hotel. A family reserved a room at this hotel for the week of Christmas when hotel rooms in Orlando are very hard to find. When the family arrived to check into their hotel, the clerk told them that the rooms hadn’t been cleaned and that they should come back later. When the family came back later, they were told that there were no rooms available and have a nice day. When another member of the family heard about this, he called the hotel to get the full story. When he asked the manager how they had rooms(being cleaned at the time) one hour and an hour later there were no rooms at that hotel or any other in the area, the manager slammed the phone down in his ear. Oh no, she didn’t! Fortunately, the family was able to locate a better hotel in a better area at a better price but it will still be an inconvenience. However, the upside is that the InTown Suites on Central Parkway in Orlando, Florida, and the InTown Suites company will never have to worry about having this family’s business again and apparently they have enough business that they can ignore the most basic rules of customer service. The end. Seriously, this is a shady hotel chain. We’ve found numerous reviews that tell a similar story so apparently they don’t honor reservations. And their corporate customer service department is an answering machine so good luck resolving the inevitable issues that will arrive. A first class business this isn’t.
