Great food! Our server was very friendly and quick to take our order. I don’t usually rate restaurants but this one deserved a five star.

Poor excuse for pizza. :(crust too doughy, sauce too saucy, and the cheese was too gooey. My kids hated it and I will never order from this place again. Papa John’s has better pizza!

Quantity over quality is the strength of La Bella Luna, though quality gets its nod. While I can’t comment on the pizza beyond describing it as just about like any other pizza you’ll find find at any other good-quality family Italian restaurant you’ll find, I can at least tell you that the ingredients are all fresh. But then, I’m not one to order pizza frequently, given its ubiquitous nature, but when it do, it’s at places that specialize. La Bella Luna is not such a place. Pasta entrees are where this place makes its mark. And you can just about name your pasta, name your sauce type, and name your ingredients. Want tortellini with pancetta bacon, peas, and mushrooms in a Milanese pink sauce of Alfredo mixed with marinara. Here, LBL gets it right. I can’t swear that the pasta is fresh-made the same day, but it’s clearly made in-house, and the cheese filling is a beautifully-spiced ricotta. Ravioli is big and gooey. Lasagna layers are perfectly made with plenty of meat and never even a touch soggy. I often think the measure of an Italian joint is its bolognese(meat) sauce. Simmered long until the sour tomato flavor sweetens and becomes bright red, you’ll enjoy it here. For dessert, there’s a good tiramisu and some other offerings in the way of cakes and a nice cannoli with a rich cream — perhaps too rich after a filling meal of pasta or pizza. Bread is included with each order, and it’s perfectly fluffy AND crusty with a perfect drizzle of garlic butter. It does, however, have about the same half-life as a McDonald’s french fry — you either eat it right away or it’s just not as good. you can order sides of the marinara, meat, or Alfredo sauces, and either of the first two make a great dip for the bread, or so I’m told. I think the bread stands alone. Salads are well-made here, but often skipped simply because of the volume of the other offerings and generous portion sizes. You can dine outside in picturesque Baldwin Park’s main street, and you’ll even have a nice view down to the fountain if you’re seat is oriented in the right direction. For what it is, a family Italian restaurant on a hip street, this place is just as I’ve rated it: A-OK. It’s a pretty good value for the money and delivers well on flavor.

We chose The right place at the right time. located in beautiful Baldwin park about a block away from Lake Baldwin. I had the best pizza I’ve had in a long time, service was great. My friends had the chicken Parmesan. Everything was fantastic! we arrived at about 2:30 in the afternoon. No wait to be seated. I would highly recommend La Bella Luna.

This place is just so dumb. Nothing about our experience left us wanting to come back. For the same price, you can eat at any of the other restaurants in Baldwin Park and have a much more delicious and pleasant experience. The sangria was basically Sprite, grenadine, and maybe MAYBE a splash of wine? All sugar with none of the fun. The pizza was flavorless. The chicken dish was lame. Why. Why does this place still exist. What a disappointment. Do better.

Located towards the lake end of New Broad Street you’ll find this little Italian eatery. They offer pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salads, etc. We both poured for pastas as we were doing a 5k the following morning and wanted a little bit of carb load. Service was okay. We were the only outside seated table at the time, so it was a little hit or miss on checking back. Pastas were both good and decent portions for price point. Overall: B Solid small Italian spot in Baldwin.

It was supposed to be a special occasion. A Mother’s Day celebration with my daughter on a Tuesday afternoon. It’s nearby my place of employment which made it convenient as a lunch time rendezvous to fit into our busy schedules. The server had our table and two others. One a booth down from us and one more outside. His attentiveness was rather lacking. It seemed he was on more breaks than he spent time working. We did get our waters right away without lemon just as we asked. A definitive positive. We ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer. My daughter and I chit chatted catching up on each other’s lives when her eyes widened and looked beyond my shoulder. She raised her arm to point, «mom! There’s a roach right there!» Maintaining perfect calm(unlike me when it comes to roaches) I grabbed the wine list and proceeded to chase and hopefully squash the roach. Although I think it may have escaped into the next booth. I refrained from overreacting or even attracting attention to the situation. Roaches are present in many commercial kitchens. We continued our conversation and our server was quite elusive. He finally showed face after we had sat there for 20 minutes with nothing other than our waters. Our meals came with salads and at this point we neither had our salads or our bruschetta. I kindly asked the server if it was possible to speed up our order since I was there on my lunch hour. He looked up and glanced around the restaurant(at the two other tables that were already eating) and said,” the cooks is going as fast they can.” I thanked him and nodded in agreement. The bruschetta and salads were brought simultaneously. The bruschetta was good except the tomatoes were piled on so high and thick the bread quickly went soggy and the pieces were unmanageable to pick up and eat. I ordered the eggplant rollatini. As it is described just below the eggplant parmigiana it does not say«breaded» like the parmigiana does… so never having the dish before(rollatini) I assumed it was not fried. My daughter had a pesto tortellini which was delicious. My dish came out as eggplant parmigiana. Not what I ordered. Now it’s even more time off the clock and another annoyance. I pointed it out to the server immediately. He apologized and said, «I thought you said parmigiana»(which I’m avoiding fried foods) but he didn’t argue and took the plate right back to the kitchen. He comes back a few minutes later with the same dish. This time the parmigiana is rolled up around some cheese and spinach. Not what I wanted or expected. I could’ve done that at home. Regardless, time is still ticking by and all I have had to eat is a few bites of bruschetta and the garden salad. Which were very good. The server incidentally mentions that if we’re more comfortable moving to another table we could do so. I’m thinking to myself, «do they have a roach free table? Why wouldn’t he have sat us at the roach free table to begin with?» My daughter is embarrassed and disappointed because she wanted it to be a special Mother’s Day meal. She talks to the manager who comes out to bring us the garlic bread included in our meals after we’ve finished eating and he offers us to go bags for everything because again, I’m short on time although we’ve already been there an hour. The manager explained that the rollatini is traditionally breaded so we accepted that and she paid the bill for the entire amount. I left a $ 7 tip on a $ 27 bill. More than deserved for the situation. The manager offered a different meal but I declined due to time. His resolution? Yup… the ubiquitous«sorry we screwed up, would you like a free dessert?» Dessert. I accepted and the cannoli was obviously not fresh and the cheese made a rubbery film around the shell. Other than the salads, water and my daughter’s dish, the whole experience was a disaster. Not worth the time or money at all. I highly recommend going somewhere else to spend your money.

I have been coming to La Bella Luna for two years now. It is always a great atmosphere for the family and the waiters are always very nice and remember our family. We love the Pizza Bianca & the Quatro Formagi with prosciutto, it’s to die for! The cappuccino adds the perfect touch to the end of the meal. We love coming here an sitting outside, there are always people walking by and you could even bring you dog with you! If you are looking for a chilled place to have a beer and deliciously made pizza, this is your place. I have tried a few of their pasts too and they wet also very good. My mom always orders the Calzone, and she loves it, it’s big enough to share it. The best part is that you can fill it with whatever you wold like, but be ready to wait, it will take about 20 – 25 mins for the Calzone to be ready,. The last time we were here the pizza sauce was super salty that we only had half of a slice each, the waiter didn’t even apologize or offer Tibet is something else. Since then we haven’t been back… Sad since we love coming here…

Shared a pizza with 2 friends. Service was fine. Pizza was… eh. Not sure if I want to go back and try other dishes after not being excited about the pizza. Maybe if I get a big craving for italian food… I guess I just miss NYC pizza, specifically Brooklyn style, but I’ve had much better outside the city as well. I like supporting local places, but honestly, I would prefer just getting dominos or papa johns, so sad that this i the local pizza joint.

Tonight at Bella Luna was just eh. Not terrible but not great. I came here because I’ve heard mixed reviews with extreme outcomes: Some people hate it or some rave over it. I myself can take it or leave it. I’ll start off with my entrance. Baldwin park doesn’t exactly give you a lot of real estate but Bella Luna has made the of the little bit of patio. I wish this was a good thing but I couldn’t walk through it to get to the front door without tripping over another chair. Maybe they had a busy afternoon? Maybe they shoved as many seats outside as they could? Once I got inside, I stood there for about 5 minutes without being noticed. Another couple came in after me and then a host came to the front. She asked if the three of us wanted to sit inside or outside. I spoke up and said I was a party of one. She asked if I was dining in. Which confused me. Am I dining in? Um I mean I didn’t say I wanted take out? Do solo guest ever come into this establishment? So let’s get to the good stuff. My service was great. He was mostly attentive. I mean I rarely waited for anything. And he was nice. He offered a glass of wine I thoroughly enjoyed and didn’t seem to mind at all that I was a party of one. The food is where I’m having the most trouble. I stuck to appetizers because I wanted a variety. The bruschetta was nothing to write home about. I’ve had some amazing bruschetta but this wouldn’t even make it in the top 100. It’s just plain. But the calamari was wonderful. Tender and crispy. Everything calamari should be. Then the Caesar was just okay. It lacked flavor. The dressing was clearly store bought. They leave olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano, red pepper flakes, and Parmesan on each table. I can only assume it’s because you are suppose to season your own dishes. All in all like I said– eh. Will I go back? Maybe if someone else was with me to endure the rollercoaster dining experience that is Bella Luna.

I am partial to this place as it was the dinner location right before my husband proposed, but I have been disappointed by any dish except their pizza. I have ordered a few different pasta dishes, and they were all«meh.» Their pizza is not the best in town, but pretty solid, and you can get it by the slice if you don’t want to dive into a whole pie. A nice cheap option for Baldwin Park, but not the main event of the neighborhood.

I was hungry and ready for some good Italian food on my way home from a long flight, and quickly scanned through the Unilocal reviews for La Bella Luna. They seemed okay(I just looked at the stars, not the comments) and the restaurant is near my house, so I gave it a chance. This place was just meh. The service was not particularly attentive and the pasta we ordered was just okay. I wouldn’t come back unless I was out of other options. I got the Pasta Zola(«strips of grilled chicken, sliced sausage, roasted red peppers, and spinach tossed in a gorgonzola sherry cream sauce and penne pasta topped with italian breadcrumbs and baked to perfection») which initially seemed good. The pasta was cooked all right and the gorgonzola on top of the pasta added a nice burst of flavor. However, the gorgonzola was just on the top and the rest of the cream sauce was watery, thin, and bland. Once I had eaten the bites off of the top that had the gorgonzola on them, the rest of the pasta was very bland and boring. The sausage was good and had a nice flavor, but the chicken was also bland. This seemed like an entrée that had some promise but was ultimately a letdown. My husband had the Fettucine Alfredo with added chicken and said his was also watery, thin, and bland. I tried some, and it was the least interesting Fettucine Alfredo I’ve ever had – no discernible taste of cheese, just a watery cream sauce. The service was like the food: bland. Our waitress took our drink order but took quite a while to bring us our drinks and garlic bread. Then once we had finished our drinks and wanted refills, it took another server coming by our table to notice that we were out and he offered us refills. It was like that throughout the evening – our waitress would come by once or twice, but the other male server had to keep following up with us when he noticed that we were out of something or were done with something. As an ex-server myself, I don’t ask for much and I’m very forgiving when it comes to restaurant service, but I can’t help but be disappointed when things like refills on drinks take forever or dirty plates are left for a while at the end of a meal and you’re left waiting for a check for what feels like forever. Especially when you just want to get home after a long trip, this lack of service can be very disappointing. I’m sure there are better Italian options in Orlando. Next time we want pasta, we’ll look elsewhere.

Smells moldy inside. Old place. And the food was the epitome of mediocre. Calamari tasted like it was a bit undercooked. Lacked flavor. The mozzarella sticks tasted weird. The Caprese salad didn’t look or taste like it was supposed to. And the blackened salmon salad wasn’t anything special either. $ 47 down the drain. I love Italian food and lived in Italy for 3 months. This place just lacks authenticity and robust, mouthwatering favors. Extremely disappointed.

I ordered two times before no problems… good pizza… great service I figured this would be constant, but I was wrong. My third and last time ordering from this pizzaria – customer service was horrible, order taker was rude had the entire order wrong. Customer service and good quality food should be constant for a business. After all you need your customers in order for your business to flourish.

I have dinned in and ordered take out from this restaurant. I work in Baldwin park so their delivery of take out is wonderful. My review is from a vegan perspective, I have severe food allergies. I have called in my order and explained to them my food situation and they filled my order amazingly. I order the pasta caprese. I substitute the cheese with mushrooms, they thinly slice the mushrooms and add the to a garlic, tomato, basil and olive oil mixture. This is a great dish. The vegetables are fresh, the garlic is well cooked and the pasta is great. The staff is friendly and listen well. There were no mix ups during ordering, the food came quickly and was piping hot. This is a great restaurant.

We’ve eaten here a few times… The pizza always ends up getting way too soggy for my liking! It is flavorful and fresh though. I just like a crispier crust. :( My husband gets the seafood pasta dish and he really likes it. I wish the inside ambiance was different. It’s almost cafeteria like with the booths and such. The service has been genuine. Not quick, but friendly.

The pricey pizza was decent and could’ve better matched its cost with more flavor. This place aims for handmade fresh toppings to get away from the chains but it’s below expectations for the location and cost. There’s been mix reviews but I’ve tried both meatlovers and veggie style without it leaving a major impression.
