The service was ok, someone got to us after so many minutes but the food was god awful. Both undercooked and barely even warm. The garlic knots were so undercooked that I thought they would get up like the pillsbury dough boy. And my lasagna taste like Chef boyarde made it. The sub sandwich looked like a pre made school box lunch. The only saving grace was the salad and the service. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

These guys really goofed with us. We just weren’t served. Here’s how it went down… We got seated. We were immediately asked what we wanted to drink which I guess is fine… It’s just when we got the drinks about a minute and a half later(impressive speed I guess), we were asked if we knew what we wanted to eat. Since We didn’t even look at the menu yet, we asked for a little bit more time. Only to never be looked at or talked to again… It’s not like we didn’t wait enough. Is 25 minutes enough? We tried to signal our waitress because we saw her but she was too busy serving the people that came after U.S. Not a good first or last impression.

I’m sure this is probably a decent bar, only because you can’t screw up pouring alcohol. However, the food is outrageously horrible. The physical menu was ratty and gross. Time to invest in new ones. The waitress didn’t seem to know much about the food(as if they aren’t used to serving it). In fact, she wasn’t even sure if the kitchen was open at first. I came in at 8:30pm. I ordered the NY Strip with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The broccoli was perfect. The strip was dry, under seasoned, and just gross. The mashed potatoes couldn’t have been real. They didn’t, at all, taste like potatoes. This is the first restaurant I have tried in Avalon Park. I’m definitely not coming back here. I gave this more than one star because at least I didn’t find hair or spit in my food.

I ordered a Grilled Chicken Sandwich and after almost an hour I get a very low quality product. Looks like there is no passion for cooking in the kitchen. This is not the first time. 6 months ago I ordered a Margarita pizza delivery and it was the most unattractive and disappointing pizza ever. Even my dog didn’t even want to eat it. Tonight I disare to eat at Taco Bell after the bad experience. I hope in the future quality food gets better. This is the only restaurant and the area promoting American and Italian cusine. Let’s get it right! Make your neighbors in Avalon happy. Bar atmosphere ok.

Mama decided to take a break from her studies so we were decided to hit up Mulberry today. When we arrived we sat on the patio because it was overcast. Scott came out to greet us and took our drink order which was Unsweetened tea for both of us. After a few minutes, we chose to go inside since it was just a wee bit humid for our liking. Well that and Scott was working the bar today. Mama ordered 10 wings(5 hot and 5 lemon pepper) and I ordered the meatball Parmigiana sub and a bowl of Pasta Fagioli. My Pasta Fagioli came out first and was delicious as usual but I made the mistake of sharing it with mama and almost got back an empty bowl. lol My sub came out and the meatballs themselves could have used a wee bit more salt or some Romano cheese added when making them but otherwise, it was good. The hot wings could have been hotter. They used to use Frank’s hot sauce on the hot wings and to be honest, they were better when topped with it instead of the current recipe. The Lemon Pepper wings could use a bit lemon flavor. I personally like the way the wings were cooked but my wife felt they were a bit overcooked. Her and I will just have to agree to disagree… Service — 3(a bit slow considering how dead it was today) Pasta Fagioli — 5 Wings — 3(Could have been seasoned better) Meatball Sub — 3(Meatballs light on seasoning) The service was a bit slow today but that in not normal for Mulberry as a general rule in my experience. Regarding the food, keep in mind I have grown up cooking Italian food since I was a little boy so I tend to be a tough critic on homemade meatballs and homemade soups. The Pasta Fagioli was off the chain today but last time was a bit off. The kitchen needs to be a bit more consistent in my experience. I was being lazy today and did not take any pictures so I am sorry to disappoint all of my followers on this review. I usually provide some food porn for you to drool over the food.

We used to love this place when it was Papa Gios but eating here is like playing Russian Roulette. Sometimes ok but most of the time not. I’d rather eat Digiornos. The pizza is usually watery and soupy. You try to eat the slice and the cheese falls off. The bottom of the crust is soggy. Please try using better sauce, and put the cheese on properly. One wrong turn in your car and the pizza soup and cheese is all on one side of the box.

I’ve been here many times drinking and hanging out but my first time eating was recently. I ordered the Caribbean Salad which has onions, tomatoes, bacon, almonds, pineapple, avocado topped with grilled chicken on a crust of dough bread. It was pretty good. A decent salad choice if you’re trying to keep things light. I did not indulge in the dough bread although it looked delicious. Friendly service and good entertainment. This establishment is pretty far east so it’s a bit of a hike if you are not residing close by. It’s in a cute community which has other local bars and eaterys close by to one another. Parking can be a bit difficult as most consists of street parking. I’ll definitley keep coming back as I am always taken care of when I stop by. Thanks Mulberry’s, thanks ML! :-)

Saturday afternoon visit, we live nearby and are looking for good local places to hang out. Bartender Mike set the tone, great service, good conversation. About 40 craft beers available. Pizza is their strength, we had cheese and pepperoni and my New York wife gave it the thumbs-up. The customer crowd was interesting, funny, fun. We’ll be back.

We’ve had fantastic NY style pizza from here… once That I can remember. We’ve ordered delivery probably a dozen times. Once, It was delivered and it looked ok only to realize there were no slices in the pie. Once it was very undercooked. Another time all the cheese and toppings were on one side and the rest laying on the bottom of the box. Once it took nearly 2 hours and we live 2 miles away. Tonight half of the pizza was basically mushy grease soup(adding a picture). Kids meal chicken tenders and fries were also inedibly greasy. I’m done playing the pizza lottery with this restaurant.

Food: Pizza is authentic Italian but a little greasy. I’m not a big fan on their subs, wraps, or fries. Feels like is been microwaved, fries are stale. Reason I only get Pizza from their. Price: Fair Service: Good and Friendly The Clincher: Fun Wednesday Trivia night!

2 of 3 pizza’s were cold. 3rd was made wrong. If the staff spent less time on there phones the food would be much better.

I’ve lived in Avalon for about 6 months and finally took a trip in to Mulberry’s. I went in with a large group, hung around the bar area at a high top, and had a great time. The service was quick and when I ask for a race to be turned on a TV it was done in less than a minute. We mostly had a dinner of beer but did wash it down with a few slices of pizza and it was quite good! I’ll definitely be back!

I just finished the Rigatoni Palermo. Sat at a high top and Melody was very attentive. Ask for her. Excellent food and service. Scott the bartender was moody for some reason. I may be biased as we are here everyday for happy hour. It’s rare when I have a server take care of me. They like it because I tip big for good service.

Came back here again and tried their Mushroom Swiss Burger. It was really good on the Ciabatta bread. Cooked perfectly. My wife got the small cheese calzone which was huge, but very tasty as well. Found out that they also carry those Italian cookies shipped straight from NY. $ 7 is a little steep, but those cookies are so good.

Eating dinner as late as 10:30 p.m. doesn’t leave many choices for anything other than fast food. Thankfully with their kitchen closing at 11:00 p.m. and the restaurant at 2:00 a.m., I figured Mulberry Street Bar and Grill would give me and my friend enough time to eat a decent meal without feeling rushed. As I walked inside, nobody was waiting there to greet me. I walked up to the bar and the girl behind the bar(my soon to be waitress) told me I could sit anywhere. There was another table with two girls at it and a loud group of guys on their way to a drunken stupor playing poker in the middle of the room. There was no escaping the noise so I chose a booth equidistant from the drunk poker players and the gossiping girls towards the other end. The waitress was prompt to come over and take our orders. She did inform me that I could only order pasta meals and wraps, as the pizza station was closed. Part of me was in the mood for pizza, so this was a slight let down. However she quickly recovered by recommending the fettuccine carbonara, saying it was one of her favorite dishes. Me being a fan of it myself, I ordered it, and my friend ordered the Lasagna. Salads were brought out first, and it was actually a good starter salad. The produce was fresh and there was enough salad to feel like it adequately contributed to the cost of the pasta dinner. The first issue I ran into, and it might seem like a minor one, were the garlic knots. They were soaked in oil and were way too chewy/doughy, almost to the point of being undercooked. Whenever I have pasta, I always like a good side of bread, preferably with oil and italian spices but I would settle for butter if I had to. It doesn’t seem to be a major issue at most other Italian restaurants but it seemed to be challenging for Mulberry. When the food arrived, my friend(who is a Le Cordon Bleu graduate) noticed the first bit of false advertising when there was more sauce than cheese on top of his lasagna, after reading that the lasagna had«lots of mozzarella» according to the menu, this was a letdown. My fettuccine carbonara which was said to be «sautéed in a creamy white sauce» came out looking like it bathed in a creamy white sauce and forgot to dry off when it got out. Not only was there an abundance of sauce, but it was a bit on the watery/sour side, and it was definitely lacking the wholesome texture of more traditionally-made carbonara dishes. Towards the end of our meal, the poker-playing drunks got louder and louder, screaming out obscenities at times. This is where confusion sets in. You’re at a table eating italian food, which is next to a bar, and next to a poker table full of drunk middle aged men. When was the last time you saw that at an italian restaurant? They can’t get simple things right, like garlic knots, there are things missing that there should be more of(cheese on lasagna) and more of what shouldn’t be there(cream sauce on the carbonara). They call Pancetta«italian ham» for crying out loud! If you have to dumb it down that much for your customers, you’re in the wrong business or catering to the wrong crowd. If they can’t get the basics right, they should step back and reevaluate what they want to be, an italian restaurant or a bar/grill. As it stands now, their name isn’t Mulberry Street Italian Restaurant, it’s Mulberry Street Bar and Grill. They should focus more on being a bar/grill, focus on serving up good bar food and let someone else who can provide better italian food open up an italian restaurant. As it stands now, spending almost $ 30 on two barely adequate italian dishes here is just not worth it.

Yikes, I’m not sure what Mulberry has got going for themselves because I truthfully couldn’t find any redeeming qualities about this place. You’re in this tiny development of Avalon Park & if you don’t want to worry about drinking and driving your pickings are slim. With the scents of Mulberry wafting up to my friends apartment, we decided to disregard the Unilocal reviews and forge ahead. I knew I should have trusted myself in trusting Unilocal, but I gambled and lost. We got there and Scott suggested we get AYCE wings for $ 12. The plan sounds solid and I love wings, but a) at an establishment like this I want some variety in my food because I don’t trust them to do anything well enough for all you can eat status & b) Scott forgot to mention that 20 wings only cost $ 11.50, so you’d have to eat more than 20 to break even. Besides the bad food and poor marketing, the waiters don’t hear you or pay attention to what you want, but scramble off. My friend wanted another drink, I did not, Scott heard another round, no thank you poorly made cheap vodka concoction. Our third friend paid in cash separately, no receipt, no comment regarding price, yet no cash received back. The tables were not cleaned or wiped off, and no wet naps provided at a place that prides themselves on AYCE Wings. Seriously, why do people go here? If Orlando was a place I would ever want to go back to, Mulberry street would be on the bottom of the list along with eating cockroaches and mice.
