Nails By Mercede

Nails by Mercede is my go to spot. I love this place! The ladies that work here are all so friendly and everyone does a great job! Prices are fair and the experience is great! I love that they offer you wine for a full pampering experience.

This salon deserves another review from me. This time I came in for a pedicure and I loved it. They get you seated with a glass of wine and a menu to choose from on which pedicure service you prefer. I went with the Signature Pedicure which includes trimming nails, cleaning cuticles, scrub, oil massage, hot towel, lotion, and polish of course. You also get to choose an essential oil and I did the Lemongrass scent. Heavenly!

Rushed, Ignored & Uneven Nails.
I’m new to the area & found this place on Unilocal,so I thought I’d try it out. I was seated for my pedicure as soon as I walked in. There was a lot of commotion, because apparently the firm next door tows people’s cars all day long if they Park in their spot. Okay, whatever…
My «nail technician» was lazy as hell & rushed my pedicure. She cut my big toe nails SO unevenly. & if you need the bottom of your feet «revitalized» prepare for an up charge. Apparently, the «foot grater» (for lack of the proper name) isn’t included in the $ 20 package like a normal place. You have to pay more for it. They only use the purple pumice stone on the bottom of your feet. & they BARELY even use that. She literally swiped it across my foot a fee times & put it down… Then she put the «hot towels» on my feet, & they were COLD as hell. I actually jumped in my chair at how cold they were. She didn’t even go get another set. Just took them off & moved on. Smh.
While I was sitting to dry, I messed up the inner side of my big toe (my fault, I get it) I apologized, & asked the receptionist if someone could fix it for me. She said she was going to go get someone to fix it, Okay cool… I LITERALLY sat there for 15 MINUTES, watching her walk up & down right past me. After 15 minutes, I said «excuse me, is anyone gonna fix my toe?» She said «Oh my gosh, I completely forgot why you were sitting there! I’m gonna go get her right now!»… I almost threw my chair at her.
The girl came, rushed & fixed my toe, with a SLIGHT attitude… Not too much attitude, but just a little.

Came here with my friend and loved it! We got our eyebrows done and pedicures and couldn’t be happier. Really lovely place and fair prices.

I took my best friend with me and we could only get an appointment at 4 PM — No worries, I thought. We walked in and didn’t have to wait longer than two minutes for them to get us in pedicure chairs (we both got pedicures). Yay!
But, then things started to go downhill. The technician doing the lady’s feet next to me was talking SUPER LOUD and she kept pausing to chat more which wouldn’t have bothered me except we waited for about 20-​ish minutes for anyone to do our pedicures and there didn’t seem to be a sense of urgency to take care of us.
My friend got the Signature Pedicure and said her foot massage was the best she’s ever had, so that was a definite plus. I got the technician who was working on the lady next to me and despite taking her time with the other lady, I felt like she rushed through my whole service. I got the paraffin wax treatment and I’m pretty sure I only had it on my feet for about 45 seconds before she took it off which was kind of a bummer as it does cost extra.
They also were playing Kill Bill on Netflix the whole time which was kind of gruesome. Idk, I just expected like… Chick flicks or something? Not blood and gore while I’m trying to relax.
My French chipped faster than any I’ve gotten before so overall, I’m just not impressed. Despite living down the street, I probably will not be back. Bummer as I was super pumped to try it out!

Love this place! I go here for gel manicures, and they never disappoint. Usually I can get three to three and a half weeks out of a manicure with no chipping (nail growth is the only issue, but of course that happens).
As for their space, it’s bright and clean.
They do take walk-​ins, but I prefer to make appointments to save myself time.

So thankful to find so many professional girls working together. I’ve know Mercede, Jessica and Wanda for a long time and they are equally awesome. This place is clean, great atmosphere and laid back. Can’t wait to go back and hang out with this great team

I didn’t get my nails done by the owner whom I hear is pretty good.
Aside from that, it’s like any typical Asian salon. The nail technician did a sloppy job. I asked for flat and thin natural looking nails. She gave me thick, uneven nails that were starting to fall apart a week later.

This place is great, friendly staff and reasonable prices. They do offer wine, your choice of red or white, or you can opt for water. Not sure what one of the other reviews was talking about, no employees were drinking while I was there. Again I love this place, will be back.

First time here. The place is beautiful! Very clean and modern. I was really impressed by the pedicure menu, most places it’s just the standard spa pedi, but this place pampers you. Wonderful experience

Not sure why my previous review is not recommended so I’m posting again so ya’ll know whats up with the awesome place! I don’t like to share LOL but I feel if you are in the downtown Orlando, Edgewater, Thorton Park area… this is the place to go… actually, its worth the drive. They’ve expanded as well so I can only imagine business will just get better. Every time I’ve gone (which is at least every 2 weeks), I leave completely satisfied and the level of skill never ceases to amaze me. I am probably to the level of crazy on how picky I am with my nails and I am not having to do any clean up or fixing when I get home. And I know this place rocks because I always get compliments on my hands and feet.
Love…love…love this place!

Mercede is an eyebrow magician! I swear she is. She started doing my eyebrows 2 months ago and said, «don’t touch them until I see you next» and I did just that and BAM! They match and are striking! I get so many compliments on them now. Thank you for helping with something I had no idea how to attack.
Based on my Unilocal review, I have been going here now, faithfully, for a year and a ½! They are great with appointments and even if you walk in, they will let you know how long and try their best to fit you in as soon as possible.
They just expanded here as well, once 1 main room, now they have 2! The word is spreading. The ladies like to have fun when they work, movies, music, wine, chit chat. It’s really a fun experience. If you haven’t checked it out yet, do yourself a favor and stop in and see these ladies.
Still appreciate the state of the art setup since they built this salon from the ground up, they have full ventilation over their nail stations so no stuffy smell of acetone or any harsh odors some nail places may have when they don’t have the correct ventilation. Props.
Neflix & Nails, anyone?

Visiting from Seattle! Decided on this place due to closest location and 4.5 stars! They delivered! My brother and I were greeted warmly and offered beverages: water or red/​white wine ;)
We both had the classic pedicure and I had a gel manicure/​classic manicure for him. Average cost $ 50 for me and $ 30 for him.
What always impresses me is the cleanliness of a place and especially how friendly the techs are. We both had great techs that were easy to converse with and had some good laughs with as well.
When I come back to visit, I’ll definitely visit Merced’s!

I have been to Nails By Mercede about five times, and I have never had a more satisfying salon experience. From the pleasant demeanor and sheer talent of the staff to the vast selection of OPI colors to the fun and interesting movies they’ve always got playing, I absolutely love this salon. Highly recommended.

Just visited for the first time with some family. I got a gel manicure with chevron design and my mother in law and sister in law got pedicures! My little sis cost was just $ 15 for the mani & pedi. And my mother in law loved the pedi and the complimentary wine. All together it’s a great place with great people. I was just a lil disappointed with my design so I couldn’t do a full 5 stars. Maybe I’ll update after my next visit.

OMG what can I say besides this place is supee chic and friendly. This was my first time here because I was disappointed with the last nail salon I went to. The ambience and mood in this salon is groovy. They had soft r&b playing along with offering beverages and other add ons. I felt like i was at a 5 star salon. Mercedes did my nails and she gave me more than what i asked for. She made me feel comfortable and talked to me which loosened me up a bit. She is very honest and directs herself to fit what you like. She asked me multiple times if I was satisfied and i was from start to finish. The price is great also and they offer other svc for the modern woman like lashes, waxing which im going to try and i think massages. Im definitely going back! Im glad i found this secluded shop.

Stumbled upon this place by searching on Unilocal and I’m so glad I did. Everyone was super amazing there. The pedicure was the best one I have ever had in my life, Wanda you are the bomb thank you! They have sooooooooo many gel colors it was almost hard to decide. My daughter and I got gel manicures with the paraffin wax treatments. From start to finish this place made us feel so welcome. We found our forever nail spot!

I really, really love this place! Unfortunately it isn’t close to my house but I may consider making the drive just to see them.
My friend and I called at the very last minute for pedicure appointments and they were able to accommodate us without a problem. The salon is clean and the staff is friendly and professional! I’m so happy with my toe nail polish which was recommended by my nail tech, Kayla. The color is «flip flop fantasy».
The foot/​leg massage was great and the chairs were super comfortable — newer than most pedicure chairs at other salons.
The prices are extremely reasonable! Doesn’t get much better. I cannot wait to return!

I swear I am not stalking Colleen B. We just happen to love the same beauty places.
Having a nail emergency and needing a place to help me fix it, I drove up Edgewater Dr. because I remembered having seen a new Nail Salon.
Found it! Checked the reviews, saw Colleens and since she had recommended Tiffany in Alchemy to me (who I adore) I was in like Flynn. It was a Saturday morning and I strolled in hoping to make an appointment for another day but ALAS! Julie could see me immediately. Julie is the sweetest lady and she looked at my nails, and took care of them like the pro that she is! Full set of pink and white in 50 mins! And they are gorgeous!
I came back the next week for a pedi! I had not had one for years and it was spectacular. Julie is my girl, the prices are amazing and the quality is exceptional.
Now I am stalking Colleen B, because she knows the best beauty spots.

Stopped by after a cruise while walking around College Park. The nail salon is clean and the prices are reasonable. They give you a full glass of wine when you sit down.
However, the manicure I got wasn’t great. The nails were uneven and the gel peeled off on one nail within 3 days. I had clipped my nails a bit, but Mercede cut it until it kind of hurt. The coating was also sloppy. She saw an old client of hers and proceeded to rush through my manicure (the coating probably took 4 minutes — including the light part — and she just applied 2 coats in an extremely distracted manner).
I feel bad about giving this review because I think Mercede was just hungry (she snuck off during my manicure to eat for 10 minutes), leaving me sitting there clueless. But at the same time, you get what you pay for. The gel was peeling off (or had already peeled off) of all of my nails 1.75 weeks later.
