I first went to Orlando Institute a year ago. At the time, it was for a consultation so that I could learn more about laser hair removal. The consultation went smoothly, and the staff seemed to be friendly. I wasn’t able to begin the process, however, due to potential layoffs at work. Fast forward a year… I called in two weeks ago to make two appointments. The first was for the required test spot, and the second a week later for the full session. Over the phone I was told that the test spot would be $ 55, and the«full area» I was going to have treated would be $ 175 session. When I arrived today and was in the room, the technician told me that the test spot was $ 75. After being challenged, she disclosed that it was $ 55 for the doctor and $ 20 for the test spot. I could accept that. She then told me that the«full area» I was going to have treated would cost $ 275 a session. Again, I challenged her. She proceeded to tell me that«it is company policy not to disclose prices over the phone». Not once did she apologize that incorrect information had been given to me. Needless to say, I left. While I am sure the employees here know what they are doing, they lack customer service. If they would have simply apologized for their mistake rather than argue with me, I would have decided to use their services.
