Love it! I ordered takeout and they were quick. Delicious food. Loom Salgado was yummy and their green sauce was more spicy than the usual I get from my usual spot(which the green sauce from the Peruvian place we usually eat at is called gringo killer…

This was a great find! The food was just we were long for! We shared a Lomo saltado, Yuca, and plantains dulce. Being in Orlando, we didn’t want fast food or resort/park food, so this was great. The service was great, and we for our good before we even finished our drinks! The ambience was nice, but we didn’t feel out of place!

This chicken is a culinary MASTERPIECE! WOWWOWWOW. Over the past three years I have become a Pio Pio addict. My family and I come here at least 2 – 3 times a month. Their entire menu is great. The food comes out hot, delicious and well-seasoned. The staff here are pleasant, seem to enjoy their jobs and serve you with enthusiasm and a smile. The chaufa(Peruvian-Chinese Rice) is delicious and warms the soul! They deserve many more awards than the ones they’ve won already.

Solid dinner spot. Solid Peruvian chicken. Had the half chicken combo and a salad. Was stuffed for 24 hours. Just kidding. But it’s a lot of food that’s for sure. Good bang for the buck for food and casual experience

Our 1st Pio Pio experience was in NYC and was just as awesome as our Orlando experience! The food was great, the service prompt and the sangria delicious! I would highly recommend the Matador for a family of 5 as we all left stuffed and with cash still in our pockets!

Good food, very busy. The steak was good, rice and beans were alright. If you’re coming with a party, call ahead, space is very limited! Either way, it was an overall good experience.

Staff is great, food is awesome. I’ve lived in Colombia and can say, this place has a good Bandeja Paisa. Delicious! Another bonus os they carry cerbeza(beer) Aguila. My new favorite hispanic joint in Orlando.

Living in Miami my whole life, I’ve had Hispanic food available in every corner and to find a place in Orlando that’s pretty good has been hard — but Pio Pio is amazing. It’s cool to have a place that offers both Colombian & Peruvian dishes. I’ve gone twice already and I thought the breaded steak with rice and beans were good until I went back and ordered their Ceviche & Bandeja Paisa. Both were excellent with lots of flavor. The owner and staff are all extremely nice and helpful. We actually showed up 25 minutes before closing with a party of 12 and they were able to accommodate us within minutes. Anyone in the area looking for some GREAT food, check out Pio Pio!

Swung by this place for dinner after finding it on Unilocal, and boy are we impressed! They were very busy for a Tuesday night, but our party of 5 was seated quickly. Based on the reviews, we ordered two orders of rotisserie chicken specials, a churrasco special, a steak special, and a pollo a la plancha special. Every one of our dishes came with a side of rice and beans and a choice of plantain. Their tostones blew me away! All the dishes came out perfectly cooked. The rotisserie chicken fell off the bones and was super moist and not dried out. Our dishes also came with a white garlic and a green jalapeño sauce, which were both really tasty. We were all so full that we weren’t planning on having dessert, but we were easily persuaded when our waiter mentioned flan and tres leches. They also had a variety of cheesecakes, but we settled on our original choices. Both desserts were absolutely scrumptious. Some people at our table had never had tres leches, and they really really loved it. Their flan wasn’t soggy and was nice and firm. So glad to have found this place. Will definitely return the next time we’re in town!

If you’re looking for atmosphere, then you should keep searching but if you’re looking for amazing authentic food, then look no further. For starters we had the Guajira calamari, which was a huge plate and was fantastic not to mention goes very well with the secret garlic sauce. Then for an entrée I shared the Campestre Combo with someone else and we were told to move tables because we ordered too much food for the table — it was true but after one taste of the amazing rotisserie chicken it was well worth it. The ripe plantains that it came with were fantastic as well — however the salad(although beautiful and overflowing with avocado) felt sort of tacked on, and the rice could’ve been left off as well as it had little flavor. The sangria was fantastic as well as the red snapper which someone else at the table ordered. Then for dessert we ordered the mango cheesecake which did not taste like mango per se but it did seem to have mango in it as the texture was a bit different and there was another flavor present, despite not living up to its namesake the cheesecake was very good as well. What was lacking however was the service, it was a little slow and it took thirty minutes of us ordering our appetizer to then receive it but overall it was a great experience because the rotisserie chicken was amazing.

We had the best lunch in Orlando at Pio Pio. Lunch for the whole family was excellent. Everything that we ordered was really delicious. We wanted to eat Colombian food so finding this place was destiny. Also menu prices are really affordable and the portions are generous. Restaurant’s ambience is 100%Colombian. Don’t forget to finish your meal with a cup of Colombian coffee.

When I first opened the menu I thought, wow what even is all this stuff. Right then I knew this would be authentic Latin American food. I ordered the #1, which was a quarter of rotisserie chicken with beans, rice and a choice between green plantains, ripe plantains, and casava. I also got a narajilla juice(my spelling is probably off) and the chicken soup. The soup was clear and I wondered if it would be bland. It was not at all. It had roasted chicken with plantains, yucca, corn, and chilantro. The star of this place is the rotisserie chicken. Holy wow. Even the breast was juicy and the skin was very tasty and not too fatty. The rice was also a little sweet and paired well with the dish. I’m not a huge fan of beans so I don’t have too much to say about that. The dish also came with a white and green sauce. I preferred it without sauces but the green sauce is spicy and the white sauce makes it more mild. My BF got the ripe plantains and I chose to try the casava. The casava was basically a big French fry. Honestly not my favorite. I much more preferred the ripe plantains. These were just the right amount of sweetness. The juice was also very good. We opted to not get milk added in so it was very fresh and tropical. I was only here for vacation so I’m sad I can’t come back here and try more of the menu.

After eating theme park food for 2 days we needed a break from greasy fried stuff. Using Unilocal we found this great place. I was skeptical at first because of the pictures and knowing how extraordinary Pio Pio in NYC is. The food was delicious! The fried green plantains were light and crispy. Ceviche Pio Pio was nice but I would like it better without the cream sauce, try the other styles if you’re looking for something refreshing. The rotisserie chicken was flavorful and moist, paired with the spicy green sauce… Amazing. We also had the churrasco steak and Lomo saltado, both delicious as well. Everything was cooked well, even the rice was fluffy and beans soft!

Pio Pio was hard to find being tucked away in the corner of a strip mall. We completely missed it the first time and ended up eating at another restaurant(not as good) because we were too hungry to go back. The interior is surprisingly quite nice and would be a good date spot. We are not familiar with Peruvian cuisine and there were so much on the menu we wanted to try. For appetizer, we got the tostones with guacamole. The tostones were warm and crispy, and the guacamole was a perfect dip. We also tried the crispy pork skin, which my husband loved. For me, it was a bit too greasy and I thought the corn cake was strange – bland and dry. For entrees, the skirt steak was pretty good, but not spectacular. There wasn’t much meat since it was a very thin strip. It came with bean soup, rice, and plantains. I liked the half rotisserie chicken better. It was moist and flavorful. My husband said it was the best chicken breast he’s had(he usually doesn’t like chicken breast). Service was not good. The server forgot that we ordered chicken and also didn’t give us any sauces(the white and green one) until I asked for some towards the end of our meal. I noticed that other tables were given the sauces right after ordering. Despite the service hiccups, we had a good experience trying Peruvian food. I just wished they gave us the sauces in the beginning because they were delicious.

Wow. I have to say i have never had Peruvian food before but after seeing the ratings for this place on Unilocal i knew it would be a sure thing 5 star experience. Man this place was hoppin! It was not a huge place, it was cozy but believe me the food is awesome. I got the skirt steak which had plantain chips rice and beans. Let me first say there were three sauces given to me all were phenomenal, one was a vinegary base, the other a bit more mild with the vinegar and the third pretty spicy. The steak on its own was very well seasoned. Each of the sauces were a great compliment to the meal. The plantain chips were ordered as crispy and had a good flavor, they from what I’m told are supposed to be bland but they still had a mild flavor that was great. I got a mango juice which was more like a mango smoothie, it was excellent. I could taste it was fresh. Just like all of the other food everything was very fresh and well prepared. The flan, holy cow! It was so good. I definitely felt that staff were stressed, i mean, they were super busy. This stress was reflected in their customer service/attitudes toward the customer but I wont hold that against them. This place is defiantly a safe 5-star meal. Check it out for sure.

We had lunch on a weekday and unfortunately I made a very bad choice when I ordered the breaded chicken. The chicken was so dry it was almost inedible. I should have stuck to my gut feeling and ordered the rotisserie chicken which they are known for. I ended up pouring all the beans onto the chicken to make it somewhat moist. The dryness was not the only problem, another issue I had was that the breast was hammered into a paper thin piece of meat. My suggestion is to stick with the roasted chicken even though I’ve never tried it.

THIS is why I love Unilocal. We were on I-Drive looking for a good place to eat. I turned to my trusty Unilocal app and this place came up with high reviews by Unilocalers I trust. So it was a no brainer to give this place a shot. It’s in the middle of Tourist Hell but once you get past that, it’s certainly worth the visit! My husband and I had an exceptional experience. There was a little bit of a wait for a table as the restaurant seemed to be packed with tourists AND locals! Very good sign. Once we were seated, we both started with some of the fresh made juices– my husband had the passionfruit while I had pineapple. Sooo good and refreshing considering it was brutally hot that day. My pineapple juice was so icy and chilled. It was hard not to gulp it down before the appetizer came! My husband’s juice was just as tasty. No disappointment from either of us. The rest of our meal was delicious and it was hard to not want to keep eating more. We decided to start with a few appetizers so we ordered a plate of tostones with guacamole along with a chicken empanada(for me) and a beef empanada(for my husband). The coupling of tostones and guacamole was almost life changing. How the heck have I never had this before!!! We really couldn’t stop… and it could’ve easily been a meal for one but what’s the fun in that? Our empanadas were small(can fit in the palm of your hand) but stuffed to the max and very flavorful. I highly recommend using the complimentary sauces to dip them in. There’s a white garlic sauce as well as a spicier, green garlic sauce. As if that wasn’t enough food, I ordered the grilled chicken breast with onions entrée. It comes with a side of rice, a cup of red bean soup and your choice of plantains, yuca or tostones. The chicken breast was pounded flat and thin and had sooo much flavor. It was perfectly seasoned and went really well with the sautéed onions. The rice and red beans were also a huge hit. My husband had a similar entrée except he opted for the grilled steak. If you want the closest thing to a home cooked meal, I would recommend this place and especially this entrée. According to the server, he said everything is housemade which makes so much sense. Nothing tasted premade and reheated. The roasted chicken seemed to also be a popular dish here as several people around us were ordering. My only plan for next time is to try to save some room for dessert! This will definitely be a «must eat» place when we’re in the area. Definitely a new favorite!

First dinner at Orlando, absolutely perfect! Came here around 9 pm, hungry after a long day at Disney. We ordered four items from the menu, rotisserie chicken, grilled fish, chicken and steak strips, tres leches cake. My food is chicken and steak strips sautéed with onions, and it comes with rice, beans and fried plantain. Beef and chicken strips has a very strong cumin smoky flavor, to my preference. With some green jalapeño sauce on top, omg, heaven! The rice is flavorful as well, mixing with beans, making a complete meal! The fried plantain is sweet and savory. I also tried my friend’s grilled snapper, perfect as well! Finally, the desert. Since we are at a Peruvian restaurant, we had tres leches for desert. The cake is light, spongy and has a delightful sweetness. Portion is big and food is fantastic, service is attentive too! Great spot in Orlando!

This Peruvian/Colombian restaurant makes great tasting food at a reasonable price. My gf and I have been here for lunch a few times and we will definitely be back. We start the meal with 2 beef empanadas(only $ 1.50 each) which are served with a creamy and cool white sauce as well as the slightly spicy green sauce. The empanadas which are crunchy and generously filled would be fine on their own, but the sauces really elevate them to the next level. As someone that loves sauces/dips, I must say their green sauce is definitely one of my favorite sauces. As for the entrees, we chose their breaded chicken breast as well as the grilled steak w/onions. Both meals came with rice, beans and a choice of a side(fried yuca and tostones). Both meals were cooked perfectly and are made better with an additional serving of their green & white sauces! Their service is alright; they seem to start off a bit awkward and warm up as your meal goes on. We will definitely be back when visiting the I-drive area.
