I love Pita Pit. When I was in college, Pita Pit was my jam. So when I found out there was one near work I was so excited. That excitement definitely died after my first visit. Obviously, the lunch hour at the Downtown location is going to be busy; I expected that. What I didn’t expect was how poorly ran the location would be during one of their busiest hours. It was an absolute mad house. Places get busy, but when the staff can’t take orders, don’t know what goes where or who ordered what… things can get more than stressful. To make matters worse, the attitude of the employees really set the mood for a even more hectic/stressful visit. Employees were not only rude to customers, but blatantly rude to each other. Hey I get it, you think so-and-so is slacking off and it’s busy but cursing and yelling at them in front of a crowd isn’t going to make the situation better. It just makes things awkward and uncomfortable and absolutely nothing positive is achieved. What officially turned me off was the guy at the grill yelling at other employees in such an ugly matter then yelling at customers because he was clearly frustrated. Dude, it’s loud in there… so my naturally tiny voice doesn’t carry well but that doesn’t call for you yelling rudely at me about my order.

I wanted to surprise my friend who lives downtown so I ordered Pita Pit and explained to the associate a few details and specifications that I wanted and he took care of everything! It was delivered perfectly on time. I ordered the chicken crave pita which is always a safe choice. My surprise dinner was delivered perfectly and my friend was very happy!

Terrible Experience. Green short haired woman standing behind the cash register was extremely rude and attempting to instigate a fight with my party, insinuating one of us were drunk after having ordered and paid for 7 pitas. We were sitting waiting on an über after having our vehicle towed and the girl was extremely rude and using vulgar language. I wouldn’t recommend to any one visiting from out of town if that employee was working.

If you don’t tip then they will ‘forget’ to make your food. Horrible costumer service from the black female

I absolutely love the Pita Pit and I always make sure to stop here as often as I possibly can. I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for this place sooner. First of all I have to say that I LOVE that they have so many different vegetable toppings to choose from. That makes my heart flutter. On top of that they have a really nice array of different vegan sauces to add to your pita sandwich which is pretty awesome too(I love their secret sauce). Honestly, the Pita Pit is a great alternative to Subway and I stand by it. The quality of veggies and options is the main reason. The staff here is super friendly and they pay attention to you as they’re serving you. So that makes the experience a lot cooler, too. Whenever you find yourself in here go for the falafel pita sandwich with roasted red pepper hummus and your favorite choice of vegetables! Alfalfa sprouts, FTW. I’m thankful for the Pita Pit being so great, convenient and delicious! We vegans thank you ;-)

I never really order from here and now I think I know why. I work in downtown and there are several other options for lunch that I think I will use from now on. The delivery guy was less than thrilled when he walked in. I said good morning and he just ignored me and then proceeded to say, here’s your order, it’s paid for, then just walked out. I then realize they forgot our chips so I called the store and once again horrible customer service. She did apologize for the mistake and I told her about the delivery guy and apologized again, but she was very quick and made it seem like I was a bother. the same delivery guy comes back with a «smile» on his face and says have a good day, all of course with a sarcastic tone, which means something was said. I worked in customer service for over ten years so I feel like I can be the judge when I receive good or bad customer service and this for sure was horrible. they will never get my money again.

Never again, I just wanted a gyro, then they bombarded me with a ton of topping options that had nothing to do with a gyro. So I declined, the portion of meat barely filled 1⁄3 of the pita bread, which was warmed just enough to give it a steamed feel. I ended up throwing 2⁄3 of the pita away because otherwise you could not even taste the meat. Apparently you need to order a whole bunch of ‘toppings’ to fill out the pita bread. I was super hungry after finishing it, then walked like 10 steps and found this place called whitewood 2 doors ahead, I ordered a gyro there, no option for toppings such as banana peppers, jalapenos and shredded cheese, and it was amazing for the same price. Nice, big portion of meat, tzatziki sauce, and onion, the pita bread was good too. They also had grape leaves. First time I’ve had to do the classic double lunch since high school. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Just what I was looking for… Something fast, easy and at least sort of nutritious. I had the club pita, and it was very good. Ingredients seemed fresh enough, and the price was right. Not much in the way of atmosphere, but if you’re just looking for something to grab and eat, it’ll do the trick.

Got here tonight at 1050 pm Unilocal said they are open till midnight. When we walked in they told us that they are closed. I told him it says midnight!!! The employees said we close when we want! And we are closed. The chairs were up but some people eating inside and they closed the door. So stupid feel bad for the owner of this place! Hope they figure it out and get some new employees. And some random girls were drunk inside that were friends of the employees and were by the grill hanging out while they were making wraps for the last customers.

I’m blown away really… Ordered delivery at 9pm… called at 1020pm to see what was going on… Girl couldnt understand me and started yelling at me… then she realized who i was and screamed at me saying they have a line out of the door and that it would be another 25 minutes. Without me saying a word, she hung up. Hah okay… Then as i am writing this, i get a call back saying that i am out of their delivery area…(a mile~ish away.) So why didn’t the guy who took my order on the phone tell me this when I called my order in? Then she gets back on and tells me that its dark out and it’s too far… Okay well the refund should take 48 hours… we shall see… disgusting.

This Pita Pit is the worst!!! I called at 11:30 and placed a delivery order(one pita is the delivery minimum) and they told me 20 – 30 minutes. I called back 45 minutes later to get the status on my order and was told it would arrive within fifteen minutes. I called thirty minutes later and was placed on hold and sat there for five minutes before I hung up and tried again. Once again, sat on hold for ten minutes this time, and then my delivery arrived. It was ICECOLD and absolutely disgusting. I called and asked to speak to a manager and say on hold for 5 – 10 more minutes. Hung up, called again. The rude girl on the phone asked me to just give her my information and the manager would call back. I never did get a call back. Will NEVER order from here again. Terrible service. Waste of my time, money, and effort.

Ordered at 845 for delivery with a 932 delivery time. At 10 I called the store because it hadn’t been delivered yet. girl said it was on its way. Called again 20 minutes later because it still hadnt been delivered. Still on its way.(I live 1 block from the store) finally delivered at 1036. The delivery girl didn’t say a SINGLE word to me, or even make eye contact. Shouldn’t have been surprised that the food was not only cold, but the wrong thing. Really disappointment in you pita pit. You used to be one of my favorites.

We went to eat here this new years eve because it was the only place we could find that wasn’t packed or busy and it was fairly close to Aero rooftop lounge where we went for NYE. I think I know why it wasn’t busy. My philly cheese wrap had the meat chopped so small, it was practically minced, I don’t like that. Also one that wasn’t cut small turned out to be a chunk of gristle/fat, nasty. Overall, it was not awful, but I won’t be returning. Why have so-so, when there are so so many places that are delicious?

My BF took me here yesterday for the first time. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and I have to say it was delicious. Wow! Love that is fresh ingredients and so healthy. Staff are friendly. Definitely will be coming back and recommend this awesome place in the Downtown Orlando area.

Pita pit is one of my fave places to go. This location is open super late which comes on handy from time to time. I love the chicken fajita pita, it’s by far my fave item on the menu. Because it’s located downtown, parking can suck and if you go late at night you will encounter the typical drunk person but it all adds to the experience lol.

Poor Pita Pit. This pains me to write, but I cannot eat here, again. The last two times I ordered it, the pitas were smaller, skimpier and bad quality. The lettuce was wilted and brown. The tomatoes were soggy, almost gooey(ick). And there was something hard in the hummus. I don’t know what it could have been, and I hate to even try to figure it out. I gave it one last try, and, alas, it was a failure. This one used to be awesome, but looking at some of the other reviews, it appears the quality has gone down… WAY down. I’m sad, now. I used to love this place.

I despise writing bad reviews but I feel I must after my recent experience and the order wasn’t even for me! I placed an order by phone for some clients in our office(I work Downtown) and specified TWICE that both orders should be salads. So the delivery guy arrives about ½ hour later and he has 2 wraps in a bag. I told him that I specifically ordered 2 salads. He had a look of frustration and I assured him that I didn’t blame him for the mistake. I told him I would see if the wraps were ok since he would’ve had to go all the way back to the store. Then he had the audacity to throw in a snarky comment, «If they open up the pita and dump in a bowl, it’s a salad». He really should’ve kept his mouth shut. Thankfully the clients were fine with the mistake but the staff needs to do a better job at listening and verifying orders if they want repeat business because, ultimately, word of mouth is what keeps people coming back. An attitude adjustment would be nice as well.

Chicken Cheddar FTW. I remember when I would travel to Gainesville and indulge at a Pita Pit at 3am, now look, we can in Orlando. Great alternative to the pizza or taco choices around when you are done partying… unless of course you add ALL the toppings =) I always go for the chicken/extra cheddar(sometimes bacon) and ask for half of the cheese melted on my chicken. I like the fact that you see it all being made and can ask for alterations and make sure they are doing it correctly. Not the friendliest staff, ok ok, not friendly ATALL, but they are usually quick. I adore that they have cucumbers and chopped onion. I always get honey mustard too. I am sure it’s not all the healthiest but it tastes good and it gets the job done!
