Publix

Shopping is not a pleasure here. Getting lunch meat was impossible since their was only one person working.
There was over 15 people in line. And I waiting over 15 minute to get turkey slices.
Now if anyone knows about Publix. Well let’s just say there service is always pleasant.
Today service was not so hot. Very upset and I rather starve.

I live right down the road from this location, I feel like I’m here daily! I ended up getting my daughters first birthday cake from here. I was nervous of how it was going to turn out, but it looked amazing! I highly recommend them!
Only down fall about this location is it ALWAYS packed with tourist, but hey welcome to Orlando!

I have been shopping at Publix for years. Customer service is the main reason why I’ve continue to shop regardless of cost. I’m in Orlando on vacation for a graduation. 2x time I had bad experience with the service even had to request to speak to a manager. This store must go through customer service training!

It’s Publix! That should be enough said. All Publix’s in my mind anyway expect for a few odd things are the best. This place is the cleanest store I have ever been in. Both inside and out. There parking lot is well maintained. I swear not one cart running amuck. Always where they should be. I have never seen one in the lot other then in the parking corral where they belong. Someone is always collecting them to keep the lot clear. I like that. The store when you enter looks like a typical Publix’s expect for the aisle after aisle of souvenir stuff you can purchase. If you have forgotten something for someone this is the place to find it. Key chains with names on them, beach towels, tourist shirts. Yep this is the store for you. he aisle are wide and clutter free. The selection of prepared food is great. Bakery selection is yummy. All my encounters with staff have been pleasant. The bathrooms are well kept and clean.

When staying in the efficiency hotel units near Disney World and Universal Studios — Orlando Florida … Publix Super Market at Regency Village Shopping Center (8145 Vineland Ave.) is your best bet for shopping for your daily needs.
They carry a good selection of wine — but not spirits …
The selection of regular produce, seafood, meats and other daily items is very good. The prices are good.
After shopping there several times over our 10 day vacation — we came to realize what a great selection of ready made foods they have. Good for vacationers who want to take care of their families — but do not want to fuss too much over meals.
For convenience ready made foods that we enjoyed included: whole roasted chicken, a pre-​marinated to order sea food at the fish counter/​rice /​veggie meal, burbon marinated salmon filets, marinated pork ternerloin (several flavours — excellent to BBQ), fully cooked baby back pork ribs, prepared chicken cordon blue ready to roast in the oven, potato salad, 5 cheese toast bread, frozen coconut shrimp. Plus all the regular frozen dinners and snacks.
We also saw — but did not need: hoagie sandwiches made to order, salad & cheese plates.
This place is real easy to find and drive to.

Publix is Publix! I have never had a bad experience at any Publix… this includes the locations back home in Miami where customer service is typically frowned upon. This Publix is located right by the Premium Outlets and several vacation clubs, so expect to see a lot of tourists. Either way, every employee here is always smiling and eager to help anyone out. Just like any grocery store they have almost everything you could ever need and decent prices. I currently work down the street at one of the Vacation Clubs and I always refer my guests to this Publix, and I always tell them to do themselves a favor a have a Publix Sub. Publix should just open up a sub shop to compete with the other chains. If I were stranded on an island with only two things to eat, it would be a publix roast beef sub and beef jerky. :)

Okay I don’t normally review super markets but I have to give a shout out to Publix! Their fried chicken is da bomb. I’m a super fan of FC and I have to say Publix fried chicken is pretty damn good. We picked up an eight piece two of the three times we were in Orlando. Okay I may have brought a piece or two into the Disney parks while I was there. Also their deli sandwiches are equally delicious.

Great grocery store and near our resort — Sheraton Vistana Villages. Large beach and souvenir section to get those pool toys and other items. Prices were good and the variety of goods typical at all grocery stores. Large produce section. Didn’t try any seafood. Definitely can find everything you need for a week at a resort condo.

Every time I come to Orlando I come to Publix because of the convenience, and I end up overpaying for groceries. I would estimate prices here are a 10−20% markup from a Walmart or Target. But like I said, it’s the convenience you pay for.
This particular location was fairly clean, and had a spacious parking lot. I can really comment on the «amazing service» all these other reviews mention because I had no interaction with any staff other than the grocery bagger (who was friendly).
My only complaint here was that the placed seemed dark for 1 in the afternoon… Just wasn’t feeling good vibes from the dull fluorescent lighting.
I will also note that they seemed to lack a large selection of fresh produce, and both the meat and seafood counters smelled terrible. The odor lurking around the seafood counter is so pungent it is uncomfortable. I imagine that this is probably what Shamu’s breath would smell like on a hot day at Seaworld… But that’s just speculation.
Bottom line: average grocery store that is probably ok for the basics if you are staying nearby and willing to pay extra for the convenience of not having to drive to Walmart. I would avoid the meat, seafood, and produce at all costs though… Stick to processed and frozen foods. ²⁄₅

Publix is a great store. I love coming here when I come down to Florida I only wish I had one back home in New York. the amount of stuff that your get for the value is very good. At one point on a previous vacation we would come here for sandwiches they were freshly made before hitting the parks.
Good location to hit especially if you stay in one of the local vacation clubs.

You can take the I-​Ride Trolley here (it’s stop 41).
They have a great spinach salad with balsamic vinaigrette (almost chocolaty – how do they make the dressing like that?) and the bakery is mammoth with mango key lime pie.
Great, convenient grocery store. We were in/​out with our posh options in record time.
Do’t be afraid to go to the Publix!

I visited this location while in the area for a conference. My roomie and I wanted to stock up on food for the week instead of eating out all week. We were so pleased with our experience at Publix. This location is very clean and the staff was over the top friendly! The selection was surprisingly wonderful. I immediately was envious of locals, wishing I too had a Publix near me! The prices were also very reasonable. Great work Publix! I look forward to visiting again when in the area!

One of the nicest grocery stores I’ve been in. Clean, modern, close to everything. There is a large deli area and the meat, seafood, and produce department has a good selection.

The very best shopping experience!!! Where grocery shopping is a PLEASURE!!! Too bad they aren’t in NY!

International drive savior! Very well kept grocery store. It has pretty much everything you expect from a decent grocery store. Especially for long term visitors in Orlando staying at resorts /​hotels on international drive. The staff here is very helpful in keeping the store extremely neat and clean.
One of the highlights of the store is that it has really good frozen food section with a very well stocked ready to eat meals. not to forget an excellent selection of beer and wine. There is a large section of cold Whites and Champagnes to pick and go for instant use. It is tough to find cold wines and champagnes unless you have a big liquor store to choose from. The strip mall where this Publix is located has a liquor store which is strictly OK. That’s where this Publix is so useful.
The staff here is very friendly and helpful with questions about where things can be found in the store. Same is the case at the checkout as well. Enough checkout counters were open to accommodate the constant flux of people.
We used pretty much every section except for the deli for our stay at a resort nearby. The proximity to this grocery store will influence my decision to stay in a nearby resort next time I visit Orlando.

This is a decent grocery store, easily accessible by the I-​ride trolley. It was nice to have a place like this to pick up groceries and not have to eat out for every meal. They also have decent prices for beer and liquor.
They also have a very nice deli section, but it lacked organization. It didn’t seem like they were following their number system. That being said, their sandwiches looked delish!

I am giving the deli section in this publix two stars. The grocery as a whole is everything you would expect from a great chain like Publix. The sub line, however, is sub par. My family and I stay at a hotel nearby regularly when visiting from south Florida. Our first stop is always this publix to get supplies and a sub for dinner.
I have currently been standing in line for 15 minutes without even being acknowledged. Always the same employee, she is rude and put off that she has to make a sub. Billie Jean seems to be the angriest publix employee I have ever encountered. She will do anything to avoid any job related activities apparently. Need some boars head for that sandwich? Expect an eye roll and an attitude. She even went as far as to make a comment about my two year old daughter, whom was crying because she was restless standing in line with me waiting. «Another crying, screaming baby» I believe it was. Nice Billie. If you’re going to talk about the customers, at least make sure they can’t hear you.

I just stop in the get a quick bite. I love the fruit and other produce at this Publix. The fruit is not all bruised and beaten up like some of the other grocery stores that I have shop at.
Those BOGO’s keep me coming back!

Their house premium ice cream is TO DIE FOR … I’ve only had a couple flavored (pineapple upside down and New Orleans praline) but it is the TEXTURE that sets it apart, so light and fluffy… Like frozen fresh whipped cream!
