My dad bought me a 2009 refurbished MacBook Air last year for a great price. It had some scratches on the top but I didn’t mind. I bought a hard shell cover for it and put it in a protective case when I wasn’t using it. I had it for maybe six months when the screen stopped turning on. It had power, but no matter how many times I tried to troubleshoot it, turn it off and back on, etc, the screen wouldn’t turn on. My dad took it back to Refresh and they quoted him $ 550 to change out the motherboard. They should have repaired it for free as the oil had been sitting in the computer for awhile-probably since before he purchased it. For that price it’s not even worth repairing, I could buy a brand new one for a couple hundred more. It’s absolutely ridiculous that they want to charge to fix something that basically came with the computer. I hear the owner on Tech Talk ALLTHETIME raving about how family friendly and involved in the community they are, yet won’t repair something small for a return customer. Do not come here.

So glad someone told me about this place! The staff was VERY helpful & knowledgable in guiding me to decide on a notepad repair! They helped retrieve all the data & transferred it onto an external hard drive & saved the day! Definitely bringing my PC next!

I usually build and handle my own system, but I had a complicated project with some parts I wasn’t quite familiar with and decided I felt a lot more comfortable with taking it in to have someone else manage it. I brought my machine in late morning and had it back home by late afternoon the same day when I usually have to wait 2 – 4 days turnaround for some of the other services I use. They quoted me a price for the install and stuck to it with no hidden fees as well.
I also never felt talked down to or was treated dismissively like I am sometimes by technicians. They were friendly, professional, and very fair.

Good place to get recycled computers and some spare parts. Staff will even let you look inside the refurb systems to make sure it has the right slots for addon cards. The parts themselves can be overpriced, but where else can you find a working system for $ 150 – 200?
