Subway

They are always so rude in there! I can’t stand it. A smile never hurt anyone… They just seem like they hate their jobs and life so much that it makes me depressed to be in there.

$ 5 footlongs and bogos!
Subway is offering various $ 5 foot longs and BOGOs on specified 6 inch subs.
There is always a line out the door at lunch time at this location, but they move quickly and efficiently. They are pretty standard for a subway, nothing terrible, nothing fabulous regarding food quality.
I usually go with the the 6″ veggie sub on honey oat with extra cheese. Great place for a quick pick up lunch on a budget.
I do not like eating in the restaurants, because it makes me smell like it all day. Brings back memories of working at Subway as a teenager and smelling like bologna all night.

Thank goodness Subway finally made it into College Park. They carry the Veggie Patty, pair it with parmesan sunchips & enjoy on the covered front patio on Edgewater Drive. A nice cheap dinner and always tasty. The store is really clean too.

I stopped by here tonight to try the new Oven Crisp sandwich that lately has been advertised on TV and so on. I wasn’t expecting the best sandwich I’ve ever had, but this still was pretty delicious. At first, it was a little tough to taste the chicken … but that was because I had my sandwich made with green peppers, onions, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, yellow mustard and Subway’s Chipotle Southwest sauce. (Oh, and pickles, too.) Once I got to the chicken in the sandwich, I really liked it. Very tasty.
The staff here was very personable this evening — the young man who made my sandwich was pretty funny and even had me interacting with a couple of people who were sitting nearby. After noticing that I was wearing a Red Sox hat, he asked me to go over and say «Red Sox rule» to a few people who were sitting at a table. I think they like the Yankees, and he knew that (and I think knows these people?), so he was just trying to push some buttons. It was funny. I asked for chips and a drink (for a combo) to go with my sandwich, but he was so distracted that he forgot to ring that up before I paid … but then gave me the chips and drink, anyway, and said to not worry about it because I made him laugh. Thanks!
This probably is the closest Subway to where I live, and I am likely to return again soon for another great sandwich and perhaps additional hi-​jinks.
