Seriously Good tacos and fresh guacamole. Pieces are very affordable as well. Can’t beat this place!

While we all love to visit the hip and trendy restaurants that line Park Avenue sometimes you need to get back to your roots. Back to the times when eating out was a true treat that only happened every now and then, like when I was a child with four other siblings whose parents wouldn’t dare dragging all the kids out to dinner unless it was 29 cent hamburger night at Mcdonalds. Those highly anticipated food-based field trips were always on the cheap. Fast forward to wanting to check out every new hot spot on a regular basis you can easily loose sight if more humble spots that need our support maybe more than ever! On my daily commute I take a strip of OBT every morning and I have been very curious about a little Mexican place with a big gregarious looking pepper mural on the side wall. After talking with a co-worker who actually is Mexican and getting her review since she had been, I asked her out to a lunch date to accompany me on my first visit. It was lunch time and this small dining room was full. Not just full, but populated with all people of Spanish heritage. While I myself am Cuban no one would know that if they looked at, so I did stick out like a very pale thumb. It seemed like perhaps they were short staffed or not ready for the lunch rush because we waited about 10 minutes before a waitress greeted us. It seemed like most of the tables were in the same situation we were in, so we waited patiently and did what co-workers do best at lunch — complain about their jobs. A sweet girl finally came and took our orders. We both ordered three tacos each, a different meat on each one. I ordered barbacoa, chorizo, and asada. Tacos are $ 1.50 each. Our food came much faster than our service had initially started out. I was informed by my co-worker that authentic mexican tacos come with nothing on top of them. They are simply meat and tortilla. There was a bar in the dining room that had other offerings like a variety of hot sauces, cilantro, fresh lime wedges, onions, etc. I loaded up on onions, cilantro and fresh lime and took my first bite. Cheese, lettuce and sour cream would have gotten in the way of the powerful flavor in these meats, each one better than the next. I think my favorite was the chorizo. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever had tacos that good anywhere else in Orlando. Don’t judge a family run business on a less than desirable strip on OBT. You might just get a tasty and cheap lunch that is worth swooning over.

Solid Mexican food. Seems like you’re at someone’s house for a meal. Very fresh, and it feels good to support a local business.

Went their with work mates Omg You can’t have a meal without being bothered with homeless people begging for food and money AND… This goes on INSIDE the restaurant Very very bad they can allow this It’s disgusting
