Tijuana Flats

Visited here on my last day in Florida. I wish they had these in Illinois. the food was amazing and reasonably priced. I loved their sauce bar-​15 different kinds to try! Mm mmm good!

This is my favorite location! The staff here are by far the best trained and most friendly. They almost always get to the door before you do to open it and great you. If you pass any employees on your way to the counter they always say hello or ask if you need a menu, and you’re taken care of immediately when ordering. I also find that my meals come out extremely fast here. I almost didn’t even have a chance to sit down at my table before my food came out once. The staff is also very good about refilling drinks and seeing if you need anything.
I always sit outside (weather permitting) when I go here. They have a big outdoor patio with speakers so you can hear the music being played inside. My food always comes out correctly and is fresh and delicious! Make sure to sign up on their website, as you get emails often with deals inside.

The food at a Tijuana Flats is always fresh, tastes good and a lovely presentation. They serve chips and salsa with every order. Keep a eye out for their specials.
Tijuana Flats is a great example of the American success story. Started out as an idea by some college kid. Tweaked the business model a bit. Now it is a multi state operation.

Always a tex-​mex winner. I usually get the chicken nachos and this time was no exception. I wish they offered a half size one. I’m miserable after eating the whole thing. Never seems to stop me though ;) The new Pyro sauce is freakin’ awesome. Wait staff is great and helpful. Décor is funky as always but clean. our question, we’ll be back for more.

Cheap texmex. The atmosphere is pretty cool and you can’t really go wrong with the food.

I always love their queso and flautas! I like this location since it’s HUGE and even when it’s hoppin’ they are so friendly and fast (the Dr. Phillips location could learn a few things).

What can you say except they excel at what they do. brilliant selection of hot sauces, great service, burritos are huge, you never leave here feeling cheated. It’s a great place for your Mexi fix. Something for everyone, gluton free, veggie, ect. very nice.

My friend and I are regular Taco Tuesday attendees at another Tijuana Flats location. We happened to be in the area this particular Tuesday and found this location. I’m so glad that we did!
I really like the setup here and how the restaurant is one big, open room. I also really like that the sauces are so close to wear you order your food. Once you get done ordering, you don’t have to work your way through tables to get there. The outdoor patio in front is huge and there are quite a few tables. The only challenge I could see is if it was raining because there isn’t any covered seating outside. This TF is located in a small strip mall and there isn’t a whole lot of parking, but we fortunately found one of the last parking spots.
When we arrived, it was somewhat busy, as most of the tables were already occupied. We got to the front of the line pretty quickly and ordered our food. We were walking to our table and they were already calling my name to bring us our chips and queso. Literally, less than 5 minutes later our food was on the table. Compared to other TF, the service here is phenomenal. As always, the food was delicious. One of the aspects that I really appreciate about TF is their consistency with their food. I have been to at least 3 TF locations and everyone makes their menu items the same way. I really wish this location was closer because this would be my #1 location choice.

Tijuana Flats is my guilty pleasure. It’s probably the best quick-​service dining option in the Central Florida area… and this location is excellent. On my last visit, one of the young women working there opened the door for me when I arrived and when I left. The woman who took my order was very friendly. And even though I ordered my food to go, I was offered a drink refill before hitting the road.
As for the food, it satisfies my cravings for salsa, guac and spice. I usually order a salad… simple, fresh and delicious. And the hot sauce bar is the icing on the cake. I usually end up with about 8 different sauces. They’re all so good and it’s hard to pick just one.
I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because this location is very busy and can get loud at times… lots of traffic with childrens’ sports teams every time I’m in here. So I normally order to go and eat at home.

AAARGH! Why did I ever go back to this location?
I called in an order for pickup on my way there. By time they finally came back from having me on hold, I was almost there. I place my order anyway, just two orders of enchiladas, a side of guac and two sides of beans. The girl who took my order says, it will take around 7 – 8 minutes. I pull in and go in to pay. Same girl that took my order just a few seconds before takes my money and I go get some hot sauces and sit down. Now, when I walked in there were only TWO tables occupied, so it was mostly empty. I sat and waited for my food for well over twenty minutes. The same girl who took my order walked around the dining room several times and never once made eye contact or said a word to me. In the mean time a family of four had ordered their food and was half way through eating it. Finally another girl asked what name my order was under, I told her and she disappeared into the back. Eventually, after another wait, she came out with my order. When I checked I had no chips to go with my guacamole, so, I asked for some chips and waited a few more minutes for those.
The only person I ever saw that looked like they might be a «Manager» was a guy in a black shirt with a notebook walking around who eventually sat down at a table to read his notes. The girl who got my order did mutter a half-​hearted sorry for your wait, but REALLY? That was the best they could do after I had been waiting a half hour for my food? And, I know how long it was because I can look at the phone log entry and see when I was on the call just before I pulled into the parking lot.
Hey, if anybody sees me in the vicinity of this Tijuana Flats and I even look like I might be thinking of going there and giving them some of my dough, STOP ME and get me some help!
Fool me once, shame on – shame on you. Fool me – you can’t get fooled again!

First timer and was offered a free appetizer! Loved their hot sauce bar and the tacos were fantastic. Great service as well. Definitely worth going!

If you’re on a budget but still require great service and food then this is your haven. I get the chicken burrito with an ice cold corona every time and I’ve yet to be disappointed. Kick ass atmosphere and best of all, desert is only a few steps away. All the food seems to be very fresh and prepared exactly the way you want it.

Love Tijuana flats. This one in particular had a very mean lady taking the order. In addition it took 30 mins just for some chips and queso

We love Tijuana Flats, and this location is definitely a good stop. The only major issue with the particular one is the parking. If you don’t see a spot right away on the front side, I highly recommend you head to the back parking lot — especially for Taco Tuesday.
Usually go with the two taco or three taco meal and we like to get the chocolate chip flautas when we are super hungry. Who doesn’t like chocolate chip cookie dough deep fried and in a flauta? The staff here is really nice and attentive and you’ll probably get asked several times if you want a refill on your drink or need anything, which isn’t a bad thing!
They have weekly specials so be sure to hit up their website and join their email listing if you are interested in getting notifications of specials and events. We miss being close to one of these and hope they open up in Arizona soon!

Never go there on a tuesday unless you want to do a big line, there is a tuesday taco special and the place get packed, very friendly staff, good beer and tex mex food

Gross!!! I’m a big fan of this chain but I found a long hair in the rice. Unfortunately it was in my mouth by the time I noticed it. In fact my sister asked if it was cheese and I didn’t get cheese so when I pulled it out I saw… gross! If that’s in the rice that gets served to people what other stuff is going on in the back that we can’t see? Beware of gross restaurants.

It was our first time here, The staff was super friendly and helpful. They offered us a free appetizer because it was our first visit, which was nice. We had the beef burritos, they were a little skimpy on meat but very tasty!

Great place. The staff is on top of it. They are quick and friendly and have great attitude. Taco Tuesdays is the best day but be ready for a line. Their sweet tea is delicious and they have an ever changing variety of hot sauces on display daily and they always hook it up with fresh guacamole and the salsa is to die for: D

I have been to Tijuana Flats many, many times. I have yet to be disappointed. The food is always fresh and tasty. I especially like to go for Taco Tuesdays, and, when available, Throwback Thursdays. Otherwise, I just like to go for burritos and taco salad. They have lots of choices for hot sauce at the sauce bar.
