For any lover of Disney art – this store was made just for you! It has so many great takes on known Disney creations and has a lot of different and unique choices. Definitely a must if you are in the downtown Disney area. We walked around te store for well over 40 minutes!

So creative and cute. They offer the traditional Disney characters re-imagined into sweet pieces of artwork. I saw«Hipster Mickey» and HAD to get him!!! With his little nerd glasses and fedora drinking a coffee/latte he was so adorable. Also picked up the Stitch with his tongue lolling out, because who doesn’t relate to that?

Your first impression on entering The Art of Disney will be «Wow! There are a surprising number of fantastic artists who have sold their souls to Disney!» Now, as I’ve admitted in other reviews, I tire easily of Disney princesses(compliments of my 2 beautiful daughters) and my once fondness for Disney movies has faded in my old age. But… this place is just awesome. I am a huge art nerd and a big pop culture guy. There really is some killer artwork in here. Much of it is severely over-priced and not something I would be likely to hang in my living room but it is a feast for the eyes and really will take you into a fantasy world when you visit. My only real complaint with the store is the lack of Star Wars and Marvel art. There are piles and piles of awesome geeky artwork out there but none of it was on display here. I wanted to find the curator and educate him on the missing opportunity. It’s probably better that this stuff wasn’t stocked here as my wallet would be significantly more empty. The is no doubt though that this is a must-visit place if you go to Orlando!

This is definitely an upscale store, but they have something for everyone. At no point did we feel like we were any less important than any other customer, even though all we bought were postcards. The postcards are beautiful miniature pieces of art, and make cheap and beautiful souvenirs. We bought two as gifts, and are also taking one home to frame on the wall. My favorite part was watching the animators draw pictures right in front of you. And for only $ 40 for a freshly drawn sketch, I am seriously considering going back and buying one.

Beautiful store with beautiful pieces! Of course, the prices are high but, this IS Disney we’re talking about. We treated it more like a museum and had a really fun time walking around and admiring the art work.

In another review, someone mentioned there are two Art of Disney stores, but there are actually three. There is this one located at Downtown Disney Marketplace, there is one located in Epcot, and there is one located in The Magic Kingdom on Main Street U.S.A. This Art of Disney is the largest one and has beautiful pieces. Heck, they all have beautiful pieces! My husband and I love art and we love Disney, so this is the perfect combination. We love visiting the Art of Disney shops often as they have different pieces and the pieces do change. They have original pieces which are quite expensive and are prices in the thousands of dollars. They also have cheaper original pieces, but the prices are still pretty hefty. I personally think it is worth it, if you have the money, but I am a real lover of art. They also have prints you can buy both framed and unframed. There are some gorgeous prints that are framed you can purchase for as low as like $ 150-$ 200. Occasionally, they also have the artists who have painted the pieces here in the store. I’ve met a couple of them and they are great to talk with. They love talking about the pieces and I love getting all the inside info. They can also tell you where they’ve put«hidden Mickey’s» inside the paintings. Of course the Cast Members who work here are incredibly friendly. They work for Disney. Have you ever met an unfriendly Cast Member?! But they are also all very knowledgeable about the art and can answer any questions you may have. If you do purchase a piece of art, they can have it sent to your Resort or they can even have it shipped to your home for you so you don’t have to worry about getting it on the plane with you or putting in the car if you have a long drive to make back home. I highly recommend having them ship it to your home so the piece will arrive safe, sound, and undamaged. The pieces are insured, so if it does get damaged in transit, then you are covered. Even if you don’t plan on buying a piece of art, I highly recommend you take the time to stop by and have a look around at the beautiful pieces. Also, make sure you hang on to your children and don’t let then run around in the store. «You break it, you buy it» does apply here.

One of two, «Art of Disney,» stores in Orlando,(The other being in Epcot’s Future World) this is the busier one with more selection. I have been purchasing various paintings and figurines from this particular store. There have been a few snafus when purchasing some of the paintings, such as purchasing 3 paintings, and while they were in the 6 weeks processing time, the company that produced the paintings had a falling out with Disney, and our orders were cancelled.(They continued the contract with a new art company, and I got the paintings 2 years later, with reduced quality.) Some of cast members at this particular store have been around for at least the last 5 years and are quite knowledgeable in the process the paintings are produced, and the background of the artists. Some prices on artwork vary in comparison to where you can buy them outside of Disney property. Thomas Kinkade art paintings are cheaper here than purchasing Thomas Kinkade paintings from Thomas Kinkade art stores. Precious Moment Disney figurines are also cheaper here than Hallmark Stores. The giclee canvas art is cheaper on than the Art of Disney store, and is the same quality and products. I am definitely a fan here for the location, and art selections.

Gorgeous art which, let’s face it, most of us can’t afford to buy, but we love to look at. Plenty of paintings, sculptures and yes, Vinylmation figures.

Gorgeous art abounds in this well-placed gallery. Unfortunately, good service is limited. Last night I asked Bea if she would tell me how many paintings were in a specific series. She had two on the wall. She said, with an eye roll and rudest tone possible, «we have lots of galleries. There is NO way anyone could know how many are in this series. I clarified because thought she misunderstood. She repeated her answer even more rudely than before. When back at the lodge we were able to simply google and find the answer is three. We also saved $ 300PERPIECE by ordering them from another gallery. Also, the artists first and last name were misspelled in the Magic Kingdom art store. «Stephan» was«Stephanie» for starters. Good luck shopping there!

Whether you’re a collector of Disney Memorabilia and artwork or not, this Downtown Disney shop is worth a visit. There’s a vast collection of limited edition Sericels, lithographs, original paintings, sculptures, collectible figurines including the Walt Disney Classics Collection, crystal, Lenox, etc. The range of prices makes this appealing to both the serious collector and those wanting something special on a modest budget.
