Came here for a friend’s birthday. Just like a lot of friends they didn’t show up till an hour later. Gotta love them. :) I had the chicken sandwich topped with Coke slaw with a side of pesto pasta. The sandwich was succulent, moist, the sauce was tangy and the slaw on top really brought it all together. All that between two delicious pieces of bread. The pasta was cool and balanced. Really good side. The service was good and she was just a flat out sweetheart. Good time even with the tragedy that occurred her this morning a mile up the road. Blessings to those people.

I got the lamb quesadilla and it was really pretty dry and weak. I tried my wife’s grilled cheese and pasta salad and it was OK. At ~$ 10 a plate I expect better. Maybe drink selection is what keeps this place open? As a restaurant alone, it wouldn’t work.

The staff is very friendly and it is a fun atmosphere. If you don’t arrive early or have a reservation, good luck getting a spot! You do have to make your own Bloody Mary’s. If you don’t know how to, Google it or order something else. The food is mediocre and the wait is a bit long regardless of it being an appetizer or main course.

Brunch here! I’ve been on a Saturday and a Sunday and loved it both times. With $ 7 biscuits and gravy and $ 5 double mimosas, their brunch prices can’t be beat. We arrived around 12:30 on a Sunday and it seemed packed. We were told it would be an hour wait but we put our names down anyway. They have a texting system which is ideal for Sunday Funday. So we walked down to Lucky Lure for a drink, but once we sat down there, I got a text that our table was ready! Definitely wasn’t an hour wait so don’t be turned off if you’re told it will be an hour! There is inside and outside seating. I’ve only sat outside and it’s great! There are free shots when the train comes by — but apparently I’m not lucky and the train has come by just as I’ve left BOTH times. Ha! Fooooood: The Swamp Dip and Seafood Dip are amazing appetizers to share with the table. The Swamp Dip is like buffalo chicken dip on crack. Cheesy, tangy, and delicious. The Seafood dip was my favorite. Think French onion soup and clam chowder combined to make a perfect dip. Both come with perfectly toasted bread. If you’re hungry, go for the breakfast BLT, Brekkie Burrito, or biscuits and gravy. All three are plenty to eat and come with breakfast potatoes. Something on the lighter side is the breakfast bowl! All great options. Now let’s talk mimosas. So many flavors of deliciousness. My favorite is the blood orange. But my friends were also raving about the raspberry and the cranberry! They also have banana? Like what?! I would definitely say that the double mimosas are the way to go! Our waiter was Christopher and he was great. Always around and checking on us. He made sure we had all that we needed! Definitely a great brunch spot!

Bloody Mary bar is great. Extensive selection of mixers and other«fixin’s». Worth the cost of the drink plus some. Also ordered the Parisian toast(French toast) which was good. Jam served with the fish was very good. Also enjoyed the blood orange mimosa. The buffalo chicken swap dip was very tasty! Waitress was quick and attentive as well. Only complaint was the bacon infused Tito’s vodka had absolutely no bacon aroma or flavor. Asked the waitress if the correct vodka was poured in the glass and she said that the flavor can vary batch to batch because it is infused in house. It wasn’t a huge deal because there isn’t an up charged for the infused vodkas but still a little disappointing.

Bloody Mary Bar? You have got me sold for any brunch place with those three words. They have an extensive Bloody Mary Bar up front with everything you could possibly want in your glass. Just wish there was more room in that glass! Prices were also pretty decent for brunch. Well, that was about where the good stopped :(. I had the breakfast BLT which was actually pretty good in flavor, but was served with sunny side up eggs(which I usually love!) which on first handling had yolk spill all over me and make the bread all soggy which is my biggest pet peeve. So being the good wife I am, I ate my potatoes and bacon and started to encroach on my husband’s plate. He ordered the Mary little lamb omelet and I expected some good lamb since the name of the restaurant was, you know, a lamb. However, the omelet egg was bland and the lamb — well it was almost inedible. It was cubed lamb, but you know how when meat is fried, it turns into a jerky where you can pull apart the muscle fibers? I wish I had taken a picture of it. We ended up singling out the lamb pieces and eating the egg with veggies(we were hungry!). Typically, we would send back such meat to the kitchen. However, we never got a chance to because our waiter seemed like she had too many tables and never came back between dropping the food off and us picking at our food until we were done. We had to flag her down for the check(which btw, they don’t take American Express). Sorry little hammered lamb, your wonderful Bloody Mary bar could not get me drunk enough for your actual food :(.

It was our first time here! The drink specials were really good and the bartender was nice and attentive even through she was busy! When the train goes by they do free shots! Can’t beat that!

I came on a Friday night with a group of friends I hadn’t seen in a year or so and was hoping to catch up with. Even though we sat outside, the DJ’s music was extremely loud and felt more appropriate for a club, rather than an outdoor bar where everyone was sitting. This made it more difficult to have easy flowing conversations. It’s fun when the train goes by and the staff passes out complimentary shots, although they aren’t the best tasting. Our waitresses were both very friendly and helpful though.

Pro’s: Originality, free train shot, location(across from lake Ivanhoe), taste, service(Jamie and Nolan were super nice and friendly), sweet tea is truly southern sweet. Mimosas. Cons: parking, wait time(we were told 30 – 40 min, we waited for nearly an hour and a half) atmosphere is like a club setting(really loud for a brunch setting), portions are small. Price, nearly $ 45 and we didn’t even drink except for the free train shot. Recommendation’s: arrive early for less of a wait time, order an appetizer so you don’t leave hungry and listen for the train!

Sunday Funday Brunch! Decided to take my parents here for a Sunday brunch knowing full well what was in store and they loved it! My step mom enjoys a good bloody Mary and became enjoyed seeing the over 70 toppings available! The restaurant was busy but we were seated 5 minutes after our 35 minute quote. Food was prepared fresh and my mimosa was on point! I would not recommend this to all parents but this experience for them was a blast! Train Shots are always a nice touch too!

My first time at Hammered Lamb was whilst hopping bars in the area and I thought it was a cool spot with affordable drinks including a nice diverse selection of beers and cocktails. The vibe here at night appears to be more mature but casual. Everyone that I’ve interacted with here seems really friendly and chill. Outside has more of the traditional bar feel with seating if you want to kick back and have a conversation with your pals. If you’re looking for more of a house party vibe, slide on inside where you’ll find another bar and people playing anything from ping pong to beer pong. And yes, train shots are real. They ARE free, so don’t expect much, still a nice touch though. If you’re looking for a jump off spot to start your night I think Hammered Lamb is perfect. And now for Brunch; I stopped by on a sunday morning around 11am with a birthday party who was already seated so I can’t speak much on wait times, although I will say nobody seemed to mention anything about it(because you know how people like to complain). I ordered their Bloody Mary with the bacon-infused vodka and pranced my way to the bar to top it to my liking of fresh and diverse choices. Lovely idea! My brunch of choice was their Mary’s Little Omelet, featuring lamb, bacon, three eggs folded over and a handful of other vegetables alongside a nice portion of potatoes. There was definitely no difficulty chowing down on this! The lamb was nicely cooked and cut into good small pieces(as all omelet ingredients should) and the bacon added a nice crisp, salty hint to it. I held back on my dousing of cholula sauce just so that I could get a taste of everything. I should also mention that the pricing here is affordable ranging from 10 – 20 if you’re not drinking and around $ 30 if you are. Service has been pretty good here and the waitress did a great job of communicating how busy they were and looking out for our table. I’m definitely a big fan of Hammered Lamb and will probably be making more stops in the future!

I’ve only ever been for brunch, and my review is based solely on their Sunday brunch. I love their Bloody Mary’s! They are the best in Orlando! To start, they offer various flavors of infused vodka(I recommend the bacon vodka). They bring you a mint glass with ice and vodka, and you go to a buffet with 50+ items for your Bloody Mary. There are 5+ different mixes, 10+ hot sauces, and 30+ toppings and seasonings. There’s everything from blue cheese stuffed olives to bacon, and everything in between. They’re $ 7 and worth every penny! The food is good and the staff is generally friendly. However, service has been extremely slow the past two times I’ve been. I don’t think the kitchen can handle how busy they get on Sundays and they’re understaffed. I think the servers have too many tables and can’t keep up. The last time I went it took 1.5 hours from the time we were sat until we received our food. The time before it took nearly 2 hours. Overall, if you like Bloody Mary’s and aren’t in a hurry, it’s worth checking out. I will update my review to give higher stars if they can improve their service. TIP: They offer free«train shots» whenever a train goes by on the tracks behind the restaurant. This doesn’t apply to the Sun Rail commuter train that goes by every 30 minutes, but it’s still fun to get a free shot. They’re always a very fruity, watered down, mixed vodka shot, but what do you expect for a free shot?

Start with the positives. Bloody bar was amazing. Over 45 topping options and a heavy holiday pour on the vodka. The negatives. Really REALLY disappointed in the fact food took 1 hour to be delivered. On top of that being stared at by the bartenders to leave the second we finished our food because the bartender reserved our seats for football patrons at 1230pm. He kept telling the waiting people«they are leaving in a minute» several times just rubbed us the wrong way. If you wanted us out at a certain time you should of made a better effort to get get the food to us ASAP! Expect a great Sunday mimosa or Bloody Mary but lacking hospitality.

Came here for the first time on a Sunday and immediately liked the atmosphere. There is a big outdoor bar and dining area and the inside has a large bar with plenty of table seating. Lots of drink brunch specials like $ 5 double mimosas(well worth it) and the Bloody Mary bar. The train tracks that run right behind the outdoor bar offer you the opportunity to watch the Amtrak pass by within feet and after the train is gone the bartenders pass out free train shots! I ordered the Breakfast BLT and it was delicious with a perfect size portion for a hungry stomach. Would recommend this place to any and all, but probably not the ideal location to bring young ones. Top 10 for fun brunch spots in Orlando.

This is great place to catch a quick bite. Like the other reviews said, there is a lot to like here. Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm. But if you miss happy hour don’t fret, the menu has specials going on for every day of the week from 7 pm to 2 am. How neat is that? The place is nice, the outdoor seating is pretty awesome if you want to chill and relax. The prices are decent for food and drinks. The food: The menu has a lot interesting dishes. I tried the Lamb quesadilla as it was recommended by our waitress. The quesadilla was good, it came with tzatziki sauce for dipping. The only thing I didn’t like its the fact that my dish didn’t come with any sides. Even though my friend I missed Happy Hour by 3 minutes we were glad to see that the specialty drinks were half off on Mondays. I ordered the Melissa Mojito which was a mix of Dragon berry rum, mint, lime and strawberry purée. The drink was really good. What I really liked was the cranberry vodka shot that we got for free every time the train passed. The service: Our servers(we had more than one) were nice, recommended the food and drinks. The only thing that was odd is that after our food and drinks came out, we never saw them until it was time for us to leave. That being said I can’t say it was horrible. I had a great experience overall. The food was good, the service was OK and who on earth wouldn’t like free shots every time the train passes? Four stars all the way.

The Hammered Lamb was our stop for lunch after paddle boarding on Lake Ivanhoe. Unilocalers speak of poor service, but we had a really attentive server and were pleased with the service we received. The patio is the best part about Hammered Lamb. There’s no reason to venture into the dark inside(unless your ready for a game of ping pong), the patio is where it’s at. The Bloody Mary bar and double mimosas were top notch. Unfortunately, the food doesn’t live up to its menu descriptions. Brunch is OK. There were some good options, but no slam dunks. Lunch/dinner options are more in the category of bar food, but if that’s your thing, the buffalo chicken dip is pretty delicious and is good for sharing. Also, train shots. Not too many trains over the weekend, but happy hour is a different story. :)

Lake Ivanhoe Village is a quaint neighborhood in Orlando filled with antique shops and cozy restaurants along Orange Avenue. One such eatery took over the space when Ethos Vegan Kitchen relocated to Winter Park. The Hammered Lamb has made great use of the space by adding an outdoor bar and dining area while the inside is anything but inviting. I write about the food in restaurant and this is not a place we would ever go again. The Hammered Lamb to me comes across more as an alcohol haven and the food is merely an afterthought. The indoor area has only a small handful of tables surrounded by a pool table and a large bar. However, my friend Chad and I visited on a perfect Florida winter day just after 1pm and choose a table in the outdoor dining area. The space feels tropical with tables flanked by Florida foliage and heat lamps. There is nothing better than sitting outside on a chilly Florida evening enjoying a beverage under one of those powerful heat lamps. But on to the reason why we were here– the food. We started with the red pepper hummus served with crostini. The hummus was delicious– flavorful and slightly spicy. The menu is small– sandwiches, salads, flatbreads and appetizers. Despite its size, there is something for everyone’s tastes and dietary needs. We tried the veggie quesadillas as well. Sweet potatoes, black beans, spinach, goat cheese, peppers and onions topped with tomato confit and served with a side a a chipotle cream sauce. The quesadillas were rich and hearty. Delicious. Chad and I also decided to split the gourmet grilled cheese sandwich. Challah bread filled with fontina, cheddar, goat cheese, apples and spinach. It’s a lot of cheese(which one would expect from a «grilled cheese») but very little of the apples and spinach. There was nothing unique about this sandwich. The accompanying potato salad was tart and creamy. It would be a perfect companion to the lamb flatbread or the shredded chicken sandwich. Something salty. We liked The Hammered Lamb but I am not sure it is a place we would frequent for food– the menu is very limited. If the temperature is right, the outdoor patio is perfect for a beverage. However, for those super humid summer days I am not sure I would feel comfortable in the fraternity-ish indoor atmosphere. Parking is hard to find in the area as well. However, the restaurant is worth a visit when you have the time to enjoy the outdoors and maybe a beer or two.
