Great place to visit especially on Tasty Tuesday’s when all the food trucks line up in the back! Had a great time here. There was live music and the crowd was super cool. This is a great place to chill out and have some beers.

This is my kinda bar. Being from Pennsylvania this bar reminded me of home. A local little bar with great atmosphere and a great selection of beer. Owner was bartending and very knowledgeable on the beers. A little background music was provided by a little duo of a guitar player and female singer. Beer was not overpriced and a great selection. The dog was present and was very friendly. A great little place.

A great neighborhood bar. The owner /operator is just a great guy; super friendly and he’s always there. Cozy, friendly atmosphere, good prices, cool, old school movies on the tvs. Buddy the bar dog is always there to greet you. By the way they are pet friendly. Tons of games to entertain you. I really like this spot and it’s on my regular rotation. No food, beer and wine only. It’s a pretty small space. It isn’t romantic or fancy or over-thought… Just a great spot to chill and relax with friends. Definitely worth a visit.

Love this bar. Service always friendly, owner and his dog are a staple to a very unique and well-kept-secret feeling neighborhood craft bar.

Dogs and cats drinking together… mass hysteria! My SigOth and I are completionists. We have played all the Lego games and we play until we get 100%. That means finding all the trapped students, all the Stan Lees, all the Adam Wests. When we are not playing Lego Adventure games, we play a real live action game called Drink ALLTHEBEERS! Over the course of a few years, we have put a pretty decent dent in the list of all the beers. Sadly, laws and distributors have kind of kept things from getting really out of hand, so our goal is reduced to DRINKALLTHEBEERS*(available in Florida). One of the bars that has helped with creating that dent is the Milk Bar. They only have one or two items on tap, but they usually have a decent selection. Thursday night might not be the best night though, because the delivery guy comes on Friday morning. We were given the«we just ran out» speech at least 6 times last night. But, the beertenders did guide us to other beer that was similar and it was another check off the list so no big deal. If you night is ruined by «sorry, we ran out» don’t go on Thursday nights. Now, I am not an animal lover. When I was a child a dog literally ate my face. I had to get 2 whole stitches to repair the chunk of my lip the dog ate. Additionally, cats have ruined my carpet. I have never owned a cat, but I have issues telling the people that live with me that a pet is out of the question. These are my issues to deal with and I have no idea why I am even mentioni… oh… right… The Milk Bar is animal friendly. The have a Bar Dog that wanders around. Some young woman brought a tiny kitten in last night. The beertender took the kitten and(although it looked like he was feeding the kitten to the dog he just) pleasantly introduced the animals to each other to avoid awkwardness that generally accompanies a bar dog and a tiny kitten meeting in the wild. Also, there are plenty of games(card and board) and books and video screens to keep you entertained if you are a boring drunk. It was not a bad time.

I ventured here last night for the first time. I had a great time. The environment is very chill, relaxed, and casual. The staff is friendly, personable and approachable. There is a large beer selection with some really awesome beers. If your looking for that over crowded and loud bar this isn’t your place. If your looking to have that more intimate experience as though your having fun at home but out with really good beer selections, then definitely hit it up. Did I mention they provide different games to play, and also decorate with art on consignment.

Great beer, wine, and cider selection at good prices. The owner is a cool guy and the place has a laid back vibe. It’s not too loud, just the right spot for hanging out with your buds. Plus, there is an amazing dog named Buddy who walks around the bar area. Seriously, what other bar in Orlando has a fucking dog walking around? None, and if they did, the dog probably wouldn’t be as cool as Buddy.

I was at this bar because of tasty Tuesdays. This bar is small but uses its space well. The staff is friendly and the service is good. The best thing about this bar is the store dog. It is a very friendly dog who is fearless of human beings. While we were eating and drinking the dogs had no qualms about coming up to us begging for food and putting his face in our laps. It gave the bar a homey feel and the dog is as sweet as can be. The dog never barked once. The dog especially like me so he accidentally put his tail in my food. I had a wonderful time at this bar.

Cool bartenders, awesome beers, board games, and best of all, Buddy the adorable canine bar mascot. Way cuter than any of the boys I’ve seen in the Milk District for sure.

A fave watering hole for years now located on Robinson in The Milk District. Great beer selections on draft and in bottle. The reason I started coming here was their service– at the time Redlight Redlight was in their old location(years ago) I went there with a friend and asked for a recommendation and got a cocky unfriendly bartender that did not recommend anything when asked. I can stand a small crowded bar, but not when the service is bad. Cut now to Milk Bar first experience– Brian, then bartender asked what we normally liked to drink then came loaded with recommendations and actually looked like he enjoyed his job. To me bar tending is an art, this place keeps it consistently that way down to remembering my name. A small bar, but comfortable and casual. Lots of games to play, rotating local art on the walls and set in a great neighborhood(so if you disagree with every thing I just wrote then hop on over to a neighboring bar!) good night– Tuesday night food truck action!

I’m digging this bar lately! It’s a tiny storefront in the hip Milk District that you would pass right by without a second glance if you didn’t know about it. It’s one of those bars that only locals would know to enter, but once you do you’re happy with your surroundings. The bar dog, Buddy, is amazing! He roams around, occasionally coming up for some attention, and boy is he loved! The beer is great and varied and the people who work there have always been so friendly. They have a taco trivia night– not trivia about tacos, but free taco fixin’s at the bar. The trivia is actually pretty difficult, but fun because you can get points for buying the host beer! Intimate, little place with games, a few too few chairs, and a mascot that wags his tail the whole time you’re there.

While this was once the place to be for many years. It had since changed. The staff is now quite different in both layout and vibe. It used to be a place where locals of all kinds would come. The beer list still appears to be decent and it seems like there is better stock of beers than in the past. Unfortunately I will very rarely be returning to this establishment which I once visited thrice weekly. Also, do the paintings creep anyone else out?

Unfortunately since my review this place has been remodeled and a full staff change has occurred. The new layout does add more seating which is nice, but it comes at the cost of feeling more cramped and the layout basically makes it impossible to hang out with any more people than you can fit at a single table. No longer is there a nice long bar area for people to hang out at either and the bar has been shrunk and stuck in the back of the place. Their menu is also changing. Good beers are disappearing to make room for domestic disappointment, a «wine list», and«house made sangria». This place has destroyed the soul it once had.

The Milk Bar recently went through a facelift, both in décor and staff and I just can’t give it the same recommendation. I went to check out the changes last week and while there is more seating and booths, you lose the ability to talk to friends up and down the bar and everything is more isolated. It also seems that they compromised some of their craft beer selection for more domestic choices, catering to a different crowd. If you had never been to milk bar before now, I’m sure it is still a decent place to stop in, but it no longer has the feel of the local go to hang out.

Was in the area recently for the Tasty Tuesday Food Truck meetup. My friends and I had arrived early so we ducked into this bar for some relief from the heat. I’m not a bar person by any means but I liked that this spot had a very laid back vibe. No attitude or snobbery. It’s a small spot and fills up fairly quick. They also had art displayed on the wall for sale. Music seemed to lean more towards alternative type music. Definitely not Top 40. I liked that it was the perfect volume where you could have a conversation. The bartender was super nice and patient with my questions. And they had a nice selection of ciders! Score! We hung out here for the majority of our time in the area. The bar started to fill up with people eating their goodies from the food trucks. I think it’s very cool that this bar allows you to do that but of course always make sure to give them your drink business. It’s the least you can do! ;) This will definitely be our go to spot to hang out when we make it out to hang on Tuesday nights!

How have I not reviewed this yet? What the … For a good 1 – 2 years, The Milk Bar has been one of my favorite places in town. I began stopping by more frequently in 2012 and that pace has continued into 2013. I even was here last night! I’ve enjoyed each experience here and doubt I’ll ever have an unfavorable one. The employees are very cool as well as enthusiastic and knowledgeable about beer. The bar has quite a selection, too — on any given night, you are likely to see 20 or more craft beers, some of which you aren’t likely to find elsewhere in town. Redlight Redlight may have MORE beers, but The Milk Bar has at least a few that RLRL does not. The bar’s owner(?), Brian, gets a lot of good beer in; if I haven’t had something before, I ask Brian what’s good, he recommends something, I try it and it becomes a favorite. This guy knows his beer! There’s plenty from which to choose: ales, stouts, porters, ciders, etc. There should be a beer here for everyone. Check out his selection of Sprecher sodas, too — they’re awesome. The orange cream or creamsicle one is ridiculously good. The bar’s interior recently was remodeled and looks very cool. I prefer it to the old set-up, though the old one was cool as well. During my past 2 – 3 visits, each of which has been with the new set-up, I’ve sat at the bar and watched movies/TV and haven’t sat at a table … if you do find yourself sitting at a table, check out the bar’s collection of board games, if it still is there. When the bar had its old set-up, there were many unique and collectible board games customers could use. Not sure if the new set-up still has them, but it probably does! A good night to check The Milk Bar is Tuesday, when some of the city’s food trucks park behind the strip of businesses containing the bar/Etoile Boutique/Bull & Bush/etc. The bars in this strip allow people who purchase food from the trucks to bring the food inside and sit down to enjoy a drink with their meal. It’s very cool. I highly recommend The Milk Bar! I’m sure that most people who stop by will enjoy it as well. It’s very cool and unique without being pretentious.

I hadn’t popped into Milk bar in awhile, which is a shame since I’ve always enjoyed grabbing a beer here(and a bite from social chameleon when it was next door). The new layout has increased the seating and bar area, allowing hundreds of people to pack in on a Tasty Tuesday or Thirsty Thurs, TGIF or random ‘it’s time for a beer’ day. OK, not really hundreds of people… but it can seem that way. Even with the place jam packed full of happy people enjoying good people, the bartenders efficiently keep glasses full and tabs straight with a friendly and welcoming manner. Nice rotating selection of craft beers by the bottle and on tap.

Fun night with fun friends! I enjoyed the selection of beers that the Milk Bar offers. Too many to pick from. I went with the only one I knew… the Holy Ale from the Python people. it was tasty! The staff is super nice and I so wish we had a lay back bar like this near me in Winter Garden. I totally recommend The Milk Bar for a quiet place to relax… play a few games… watch a fun movie or hang out with friend!

I have had this review in my drafts for sooooo long that I basically am re-writing because I have returned various times since my first experiences. This is a quaint, intimate, lovely neighborhood bar that delivers in great company, fun board games and fabulous cider(and beer). The staff is friggin’ fabulous(esp Jose) and will chat with you about anything, especially what you are drinking. I have struck up some lovely conversations with the community in here as well, just a really nice, chill vibe. Yes, it’s small so not much room to roam but that makes it nice for meeting new people. It is difficult to play some games if you only have a small table but there are options. You can bring food in since they don’t serve it which is nice of them. And, it’s smoke free, HOLLA!

This is seriously starting to become one of my favorite places to hang out. The only reason why it can never be my ultimate favorite is the lack of actual food(unless you order pizza from The Social Chameleon next door). My world somehow revolves around both food and drinks — can’t just do one or the other. Anyway, The Milk Bar… (1) Is Pretty Small — so go early if you’re going with a bunch of people, but I heard from the guy there that they plan on adding more tables and chairs(yay!) (2) Has Art On The Walls That You Can Buy — so far, it’s been the pretty cool stuff… so cool that if I had money, I’d already buy some. (3) Has Friendly And Knowledgable Bartenders — feel free to ask them for suggestions if you wanna try something new or not too familiar with beers/wines. (4) Has Board Games Galore — try playing CLUE while drinking. (5) Is Smoke Free — I think that alone is worth 2 stars in my book. But like someone else has said, it kind of lacks an outdoor area because it would actually be pretty cool to be able to chill outside and enjoy the nice weather here in Central Florida. The Milk Bar has definitely been added to the list of places that I’ll rattle off when a friend asks if we wanna catch up over a few drinks. =)
