I saw this place on TV and really wanted to try. They used to come to Tampa once in a while for a food truck event and I finally had a chance to try. I ordered just one strawberry champaine cupcake… unfortunately I didn’t like it and was dissapointing because I had a high expectation. The cake was dry and the frosting was way too much and way too sweet. I mean I have sweet tooth but I couldn’t barely finish without getting a headach and toothache. I don’t know if they had an off day or what. I was going to try one more time to see and experience what people are talking about, but this place is closed now. *Featured on «Eat St» Food Network.

Drastically overrated cupcakes, in taste, flavor, and price. We got the Late Night Snack and Dough Dough Bird cupcakes, and even though I wanted to like them, they were underwhelming. The Late Night Snack was flavorless and dry, and the pretzel/nut concoction on the bottom was overly salty and the pretzels were soggy. The frosting on this one was particularly disappointing, with no perceivable flavor, though the frosting on the cookie dough cake was much better. That cake was too salty, though, and maybe it was the point of it to taste different than just a chocolate chip cupcake, but I just felt like it was still lacking something. Of the other flavors available, only the Churro cupcake looked promising. I was really hoping to get something more special for $ 3.75 a piece.

I love that we have a cupcake truck in the area! It makes me so happy to have a sweet something something during the work day. They have a nice variety of cupcakes, and they also change them up depending on the season. Their frosting is DELICIOUS and the cakes nice and moist. I have yet to try a cupcake I didn’t like. My favorite is the smut cucpake with Oreos, brownie, and cookie dough. The only problem I had is that they are a little pricey. So when I visit, it’s a little bit of a splurge. However, they do have a punch card. After you buy twelve cupcakes, you get one free!

Saw this truck on Eat Street so I was super excited to finally try it at the Food Truck Bazaar in Orlando! Tried their new cupcake… Tiramisu… Which is one of my favorite desserts. Amazing! So moist, not too sweet… Me and Hubby went back and got another one with the Harvest Apples. Taste like fall. My punch card will be filled up very very soon.

I love cupcakes but was a little worried that a truck would not be able to produce something as good as I had. The salted chocolate was to die for, I am happy that I was in the area and able to taste it. Didn’t give five stars because they are far from me, only reason.

Their cupcakes are consistently good! They have a ton of unique flavors so they’re not afraid to experiment. Follow their twitter(@yumyumtruck_fl) to find where they’ll be next. They always make an appearance at Tasty Tuesday in the Milk District, which lucky me is down the street. My favorite cupcake is the classic red velvet… I wanted to cry when I took a bite. My hubby and I usually share and split everything… not that day, not that cupcake.

@yumyumtruck_fl on Twitter. What’s not to love? A traveling cupcake truck that also happens to be creative and delicious! Score! My boyfriend and I always get at least a half dozen when ever we see this truck. They sell out fast so don’t miss out!

Oh Yum Yum, why can’t I quit you???(Because I secretly don’t want to…) Do yourself a favor– Get on twitter. Follow @yumyumtruck_fl. Find out their current location. Run/bike/gallop as fast as you can to said location. Order a Cookies got Creamed immediately. Why the urgency? Because this cupcake is so mindblowingly life-changing that it sells out almost right away. What makes this cupcake so epic? Starting from the top, this guy’s got a dollop of YumYum’s Cookies got Creamed signature buttercream frosting resting on a decadent chocolate cake, whose insides consist of melted chocolate, with a full freaking Oreo baked into the bottom. I know what you’re thinking– too much of a good thing can sometimes be too much. Well shut your mouth cause you’re wrong. :)

For years I’ve heard about how incredible the cupcakes from this truck are, so when the truck made an appearance at my workplace I was beyond excited. Chocolate and raspberry is my guilty pleasure, so when I saw this flavor combination I eagerly purchased one. I took a lick of the frosting, and thought it was just perfect — so I eagerly cut into the cake to take a bite. Dense. Dry. Crumby. I was so disappointed. The filling(explained as a chocolate raspberry ganache) lacked the fruit component and I was overall disappointed. I licked off the remaining frosting, because it was perfection, and tossed the cake. That night I was chatting with a friend about my experience, and he said that his was absolutely delicious, and I must have had an «off» cupcake. Well, the next day the truck happened to be back at my workplace, so I thought«I will give them another try.» I got a 4 pack to share among friends, and figured that would be the best way to make a solid decision. This time I picked their churro flavor, the cookie dough one, a midnight snack, and cookies got creamed. Once again I found that the frostings were delightful, and in these varieties the fillings were spot on too — but I found the cake to be dense and dry. I’m glad I got to give this truck a try, but I don’t think I will be back. From their stellar ratings on Unilocal,I’m assuming that the dense cakes do appeal to some, they just aren’t my cup of tea. I will be sticking to Sweet! for my cupcake cravings!

Oh, Yum Yum Cupcake Truck! You are worth fighting through the crowds! I had the Chocolate Salted Caramel Cupcake: A version of the classic salted caramel dessert. A moist chocolate caramel cake, topped with a rich caramel buttercream, and drizzled with more caramel, and of course, sea salt. Thoroughly and utterly delicious! My only wish: That they would sprinkle a little sea salt on top of the cupcake immediately before serving!

Bottom line — pretty tasty. Right off the top, awesome truck. It completely lures you in. Luckily, they also have a good product for you to enjoy once you finally get your cupcakes. I had S’more cupcake and it was excellent. The line can be a bit discouraging, but you won’t regret waiting for these guys.

This place is Yum squared. :) The truck was at the last two food truck events I attended. But I skipped the truck at the first one, I opted for a crêpe and immediately regretted the decision. So when I saw them again, I hit them up early. They usually sell out quickly, so make sure to get there in advance, possibly before you get dinner :) I suggest the simple chocolate cupcake.

The Churro Cupcake. No really, try it. Very good frosting on cupcakes that are sweet but not overwhelmingly so. They have some creative flavors, and they pull it off well. Definitely one of the best cupcake stops in Orlando.

Gahh. I’m so torn about Yum Yum, it’s terrible. I loved their entire look and their cheery vibe. I loved their kitschy truck and the retro styling of the girls behind the window. But most of all, I loved how adorable their cupcakes looked. But when it all boiled down, they didn’t score on the most important detail for me. For some reason, I couldn’t find myself enjoying the cake part at all. My boyfriend and I chose to try the Dom Berrignon and The Dough Dough Bird, and found both cakes to be dry and overly dense. The texture was coarse, too. I wish they’d had a fluffier consistency. For the Dom, I wish the strawberry flavor could have been more evident — the strawberry came out faint, and it felt like I had eaten a slightly tart vanilla cake. The cake from The Dough Dough Bird, aside from the previously mentioned issues, did well in the flavor department; and I enjoyed the(eggless) raw cookie dough inside. Luckily, the frosting saved the cupcakes for us. OMG — possibly some of the best frosting I’ve ever had. If perfection had a form, it would be their champagne buttercream. It was decadent, light, fluffy, creamy, and flaky all at once; and it looked beautiful. With the homemade strawberry cream cheese in the center, it looked like a rose. I was a little sad when they put the lid on, since it crushed the frosting a bit. The chocolate chip cookie frosting for The Dough Dough Bird was amazing too. I could have probably eaten a pint of it with a spoon. lol. It was ridiculously smooth. I don’t know if I’ll ever try them again — their prices seem a bit high for cupcakes(tiny cupcakes, at that) — but I wouldn’t be completely adverse to the idea. Bonus: They usually have one vegan and gluten-free cupcake available too. Cute Look + Amazing Frosting + Vegan/Gluten-Free Option = 3 Stars

The Yum Yum Cupcake truck is one of the main reasons that I will hit up the Maitland Farmers Market or any of the food truck events here in Orlando! The have amazing cupcakes and are always coming up with new and inventive flavors. I haven’t tried a cupcake yet that I didn’t like. My absolute favorite is the Orange and Cream dream. The only negative about this cupcake is that it is a seasonal favorite, so I can’t get it year round. Other than that I have no complaints about these cupcakes! Both their cakes and the frostings are spot on! A lot of places seem to only be able to get one of them right. Either the frosting is great and the cake is blah, or the cake is great and the frosting is blah. But these guys have things covered!(get it? covered. ha.) One of my favorite frosting is on their Cookies Got Creamed cupcake. It is chock full of cookie parts and looks like a great big scoop of Cookies & Cream ice cream. I could eat that frosting by the bucket full. Oh yum. They also have two incredible owners! Alex & Joey are creative, friendly, outgoing, and just all around great guys. The rest of their staff is amazing as well. Regardless of where the truck is or who is working you are always greeted with a smile.

I’m a dessert chick. There. I said it. The Yum Yum truck lured in in with the cute, kitchy design & people running the truck. The whole thing was just so darn cute and unique and even though my favorite cupcake place was across the street, I’d like to live & try other things. So I did. The Line Up: Foxy Four featuring: S’More Red Velvet Churro Dough Dough Bird I carted these babies home & immediately broke out the knife & fork(s) for tasting. Although inventive in name, variety & combination, these cupcakes were more like a 3.5 Star as far as the actual product. My other half(Better half? hahhaa) sampled along with gusto & agreed. Overall, the favored was the S’More(The frosting! OMG) and the Churro was pretty crafty and different.

I really, really, really wanted to be a huge fan of this place. I’ve heard so much about it and I spent about a year following them on Facebook, thinking someday I might actually be in the same place at the same time as the truck. And finally, at the Maitland Farmer’s Market, it happened. I walked up to the truck and had a great conversation with the person working that day. He was very sweet and funny, and he helped me with everything I asked for. I ordered a Foxy Four box of cupcakes and took them home to try. The problem i had was that while the icing and topping of the cupcakes were good, the cupcakes themselves were pretty dense and dry. I prefer fluffier cupcakes, and these weren’t fitting the bill at all. I ordered four different kinds with the same results. I didn’t even get through all of them since I was so disappointed. I will say, though, a lot of this is probably my preference, since Yum Yum is so popular. I bake at home and I prefer homemade cupcakes(or the ones from Sweet!) to these. But this is a great local business and I know people will continue to support them! :)

I am pretty sure I have a new favorite. The S’more is to STALKFOR! Yes, I stalk Yum Yum on twitter to see where they are so I can get my s’more on.(S’more what? How can I have some more of something if I haven’t had anything yet? SANLOTLOVE)!!! Ok, imagine, the moist chocolate cupcake that they are known for and add three glorious items that just add heaven to your taste buds: Marshmallow icing(with two mini mallos on top), sprinkled with some graham/salt topping and MYFAVORITE part is the moist, crumbly graham cracker bottom, TRUENOM!!! The orange creamcicle is a close 2nd to tie with my PB favorite!!! I love the vanilla cream burst in the middle!

Probably my favorite truck in town, these guys have never let me down when I’ve needed a sweet fix. I love their cupcakes so much because they’ve found the perfect balance of icing vs cake. They have a regular rotation of flavors, with new featured cupcakes added every month, based on fan votes. My favorites so far have been, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Strawberry Shortcake, and Smores. They can be found all over town at various events throughout the week, including the Maitland Farmers Market on Sundays at Lake Lily. Make sure to follow them on Twitter and Facebook so you can find them and vote on which Flavor of the Month they’ll introduce. It’s also a great way to find out about specials they have, such as a free cupcake with the purchase of four. Each cupcake is $ 2.50, but if you purchase several at a time the price per cupcake goes down.
