Tulip Nails

Went here with my wife so she can get a pedicure and they did an amazing job! She left very happy with there service!

I just happened to stumble by this place. I was on my way to Queen nails and started reading their reviews which were not good. I’m a man so I don’t do all the polish but I had a bad calluses in my feet and she took her time on it getting rid of it. I’m a happy man and will definitely be back. I had no waiting period and derive was awesome. They even offered water or other beverages. I strongly recommend.

I usually come to Tulip Nails because they are cheap, quick and do a nice job. They deserve 4 stars for all that. However, I am giving them 2 stars because it’s 6:10 pm and they are already closed. This has happened to me twice now. Both Unilocal and the sign on their door state they are open until 7 pm. This is how a business loses customers.

I got it manicure. It came out cute. The top coat wasn’t fully applied to my nails so some spots look weird. I had a burning sensation when the nail tech applied oil to my cuticles and then rubbed lotion into my hands and arms. I told her it was hot and she just nodded and smiled. It went away after a minute or so.

Why I give 4 stars you ask? Not because it’s a fancy, 5 star salon; but because the service is excellent. I started getting my nails done there, faithfully every 2 – 3 weeks last August (2013). Found out I was pregnant the day after my first visit to the shop. They saw me through the whole pregnancy! We got so acquainted they came to my Hispanic BabyShower! I love them very much! I moved down from NYC and went through three other places and just wasn’t satisfied. Lily (my nail tech) does an amazing job at #1, my nails #2 keeping me entertained (it’s not just small talk it’s actual conversation AND yes she speaks perfect English) #3 she knows I have OCD and doesn’t get frustrated by it. Always makes sure I’m 100% satisfied. I’ve actually come back a couple days later a few times because I changed my mind and she hooked it up again! Lisa is a awesome at pedis and Maria is amazing with designs!

Tulip Nails is an alright establishment. Limited gel colors, but enough to pick something you wouldn’t mind looking at for the next two weeks. They recommend that you call ahead for an appointment, but it’s not necessary. You get some percent off if you do. Nothing to do while you are there. They have a single, tiny, tube tv that isn’t visible from the pedi chairs. The service was fast and relatively cheap. I spent $ 45 on mani/​pedi with gel and design. Would recommend for a quick fix or someone who isn’t super picky. I’d consider going back.
