Great place to hangout, eat and have a few before the game. Friendly staff and the owner, Dean did some meet and greets with the patrons that included me. I had the sandwich with the buffalo sauce… Great!

Service does not exist here. There were more employees than customers in the place when I walked to the bar and they all ignored us. After 6 employees saw me at the more and continued to converse with each other instead of serving I left.

I don’t know why this place has such a low rating. One of the biggest complaints I see is that service is slow. Well that is easily explained, because everything is made to order, no sitting under heat lamps. When you order something they make it specifically for you. I am more than good with that, I’ll wait. This is the first time I had a beer(Samuel Adams Octoberfest) at any college establishment, much less inside the Student Union. It was great. I got the Wacky Wrap, which is fried chicken with cheddar-jack cheese, and some hot ranch for dipping. The hot ranch wasn’t too hot, but had the right amount of heat, and was really, really good, Put the wrap over the top. And for all that with fries, it came to about $ 14. You’ll be hard pressed to find a place that makes your food to order, for that price.

This is a great place to eat if you are already parked and walking around the UCF campus — it is located in the student union in the dead center of campus. Alumni owned, and student run, which is pretty cool. The food is good — a step above typical bar food. I love the«wacky wrap,» which is a spicy hot chicken wrap. Service isn’t always the best, but is fine. This place is a great choice on campus.

One of the reasons I started coming here was because a buddy of mine told me about their $ 1 beer happy hour special which is awesome! I enjoy being able to walk to the bar and grab a couple of beers before lab. The food is good, I have not tried something I would not get again there, specifically their Buffalo chicken sandwich! Service is usually good except if you go in during their lunch rush and even then I waited 10 – 15 minutes tops for a huge burger and fries. Is there room for improvement? Yes. Is it as bad as some people paint it? No. I do wish they would start serving liquor though, it would save me a walk to Burger U.

I love this place because it is so convenient and I find it a good crazy that UCF even allows a bar inside the student union to begin with. It is a great spot to grab a few beers between classes. I give it 5 stars because the servers are hot, they have an amazing happy hour special $ 112-oz Budweisers, and they have the best BBQ Pork Philly I’ve had in a while. As far as the other comments go, it’s a COLLEGEBAR not a fast food restaurant nor should you expect a 5-star dining experience. Charge on!

Residing in the heart of the Student Union in UCF, Wackadoos has maintained an unchallenged niche for being managed by alumni and having the privilege to sell alcohol(it’s a pub restaurant, what did you expect?). Its monopoly is so strong that they have abused it till they hit bottom. Where does one even start? The atmosphere is rather varying through the days, from stale silence, to a mess of mumbled business talk from suits who had no other place to sit down for their meals, to obnoxious yelling over football games. I know not the reason, whether it’s the awful lighting, the gaudy furnishings with the terrible wooden tables, or their staff selection, but it’s just not possible to feel comfortable there. Speaking of staff, their service is atrocious. Out of at least the six times I’ve been there for food, not once have they be intolerably late in delivering it. I have no clue what the people in the kitchen are doing to take an hour to make just a burger or quesadilla. The waitresses are trained just to pass the bare minimum in how they speak to customers but are still rather inattentive at times. Food is okay in quality, which makes it not worth it given the price range. You could get a sandwich that is larger and just as tasty for cheaper costs at the Subway in the same building. If you’re really craving a burger and can’t settle for Nathan’s, tough luck. I recommend getting it to go, though, as the waiting time seems to shorten for some odd reason from my experiences. Wackadoos does possess an arcade, and is really the sole reason why I’m really ever there. I don’t think they actually own it, but the quality leaves much to be desired; there’s never a time when a machine is not completely broken and most are slightly defective in some way. For the UCF area, the place is best for DDR(the other place nearby is Chewy’s, which is overpriced despite the slightly higher quality) but there is so little attention put into it as they break often enough to be worth a mention and the volume is easily drowned out by the country music they play there. Don’t even hope to hear anything during a football game. Oh, if despite what everyone’s said, you’re still interested in checking out the place and want to plan a trip there, call for their hours. Their website and even the signs around the place can be downright wrong as they’ve been changing the hours frequently(they’re now closed on Sundays, which just goes to show how business is doing). Even when they aren’t supposedly closed, they do it anyway when no customer’s around, which can be infuriating for someone who wants a late dinner. Spend the time walking/driving out of campus. It’s better than dining in here.

I always have low expectations when ordering pub food and WackAdoo’s still manages to disappoint. The service is always, without exception slooooooooow. The last time I had the misfortune of going, the server was perfectly sweet but had no clue what she was doing so we had to ask for everything, including silverware, condiments, and napkins. At the end of the meal it never occurred to her to ask if we would like anything else, not that we did given we didn’t another eternity to wait. Maybe she knew better than to ask, what is clearly in WackADoo’s, a ridiculous question. The décor in this place is in a word, disgusting. It looks some college kids took a random room, threw some crap in it and decided to call it a restaurant. The inside of a Thruway Burger King looks better. It is not at all inviting and everything is old and decrepit. The colors are dreadful. In short, the place is a dump. The food is completely and utterly uninspired. It’s obvious in the multiple times that I have eaten here that whoever prepares the food could not care less about what they are serving. Anything I have ever eaten was edible, at best but being the only game in town, there is no need for them to try and they don’t care if we know it. Of courser, it is safe to say that most of the food options on the UCF campus leave much to be desired.

Don’t expect much in regards to variety of food. This is your typical pub fare type restaurant. I can say there hasn’t been a thing I haven’t liked here yet. My biggest concern with the restaurant is how long the service takes. There has been multiple times where I’ve been sat down only to hear crickets chirp while waiting for the waitress to show up because its been so long. The food also takes a decent amount of time to come out. However, the atmosphere is great, and the staff is very friendly. It’s a great place to watch a sporting event on TV and get a bite to eat if you aren’t under a time constraint. Beer prices are good too.

I just don’t get a university with 60,000 students and only having one sit down place on the main central campus? Over the last 10 years we have given this place business, only to be disappointed over and over again. Beer on tap great– food; where do I begin? We ordered two Buffalo Chicken Salads– with grilled chicken. They were disgusting. This looked like a salad a restaurant would have served in 1985. This is 2014 and people demand better healthier food: not ice burg lettuce out of a bag, wilted, huge chunks of irregular chopped red onion, massive slices of over size not seeded cukes, a sprinkling of blue cheese. I ask for hot sauce. They don’t have any and if I want more buffalo I would be charged! To boot, when I complained the waitress was sent out to «explain» why our order was bad: it was better with the fried chicken. Oh, I guess that explains the tough and frozen flavored chicken. And how about that manager? Aren’t you suppose to deal with complaints? Sending out e waitress was cowardly. She was extremely apologetic. No, just no, all the way around. UCF get us better food. And wackadoos; you must be paying some big bucks to have a strong leg hold on that spot. You serve students, staff and faculty crap. Beer only for us from now on. We will have to leave campus for decent food. Pathetic.

Decent little place who serves Big Ass Beers in the middle of the day for $ 6. Pulled pork quesadilla was tasty. Tucked away in the student union, you can grab lunch and people watch. They have pool tables and arcades in the side room and a nice patio in the back. Waitresses are students are all very friendly. Have fun!

Yesterday, I ate at this restaurant because a friend of mine said she really liked it. Well, let me tell you, I was severely disappointed. As everyone else is saying, this is the only place in the Student Union where you can sit in and eat. Which seems great, but then you get the food and realize how awful the place it. The décor is an attempt to look like a pub but instead it has weird lighting and the whole place gives off a dingy, kind of gross vibe. The tables are oddly placed around, so I wouldn’t be surprised if you had issues with the people sitting next to you. The service was okay. Our waitress was nice, but a little slow, especially considering that she only had one other table to serve(we had gone kind of early during the summer so there wasn’t a lot of people). Now to the actual food. The main reason for the one-star rating. First of all, I will say that I do like that they have a variety of food. A lot of it is your typical pub food: fried pickles, burgers, and some bbq. They also have some Mexican-inspired dishes and a decent selection for appetizers. But their prices are too high for the quality of food you’re getting. Friend #1 got an order of pull pork nachos since they supposedly don’t serve chili for the nachos anymore. Friend #2 ordered a pull pork sandwich with hot bbq sauce and fries. And I got the Wild West pull pork bbq wrap, which has grilled onions, cheese, and sweet bbq sauce; it also comes with fries. The nachos my friend got was the most saddest excuse for nachos I ever seen. It BARELY had any cheese; they give a pretty large portion of nachos but not enough cheese at all whatsoever. The amount of pull pork was also small in comparison to the size of the dish. They gave her a tiny bit of salsa and jalapeño peppers. The chips themselves looked stale and not fresh in any way. Friend #2 thought her sandwich was okay, but not amazing. I tried some of the hot sauce she got on the side and it was the most odd tasting bbq sauce I’ve ever had: it was more watery and barely tasted like bbq sauce. And she barely ate her fries, which I can’t blame her. My bbq wrap was absolutely gross. First of all, I expected it to be bigger, but it was a small sized wrap. The contents of it is what threw me off: as with the hot bbq sauce, the sweet one did not taste like bbq sauce and it was WAY too sweet. For some reason, there was cabbage in my wrap, and the onions they used only added to the oddly overly sweet sauce. My fries were not fresh whatsoever. They tasted like they had been sitting on the side for an hour and were cold when I got them. Another bad thing about their menu and food is that apparently now they are going to start charging for little things. For instance, I asked for a little bit of hot bbq sauce on the side when I ordered my food and the waitress said that it was going to cost extra; afterwards, when I got my food, I asked for honey mustard and it was the same deal. I’ve never been to a restaurant that charged extra for something as basic as bbq sauce and honey mustard. They also charge extra if you wanted seasoned fries, and she failed to tell us that. The seasoning they used on the fries was some incredibly basic tasting seasoning that they more than likely got from Wal-Mart for like $ 1. The chef didn’t even bother mixing it around, he just poured some on top and that’s it. All-in-all, I don’t see myself coming back here at all, not even to try their burgers which is what I almost got. The food was bland and didn’t even taste fresh. Also, my friends ended up with stomach aches afterwards. Obviously not a good sign.

this little want to be pub restaurant in the UCF student union is nothing more than a dingy dining room, overpriced frozen food, and subpar service. it’s attached to a small arcade room and toppers creamery. The only thing saving this place is the conveniency of being located in the student union and the smell of waffle cones next door.

Wackadoo’s is a fun, casual, and comfortable place to hang out with friends. Food and beers are typical for an American sports bar. Because I go to Wackadoo’s with a regular, who drinks a a lot and tips well, service is usually pretty good. Parking is a pain in the ass if you don’t have a parking sticker. Without a sticker, you’ll have to pay to park. They have outdoor seating and there is no smoking allowed! Awesome!

I stopped by WackAdoo’s to grab a quick bite to eat before meeting with some academic advisors. The student union was SO busy but the restaurant wasn’t very busy. I ordered a salad and it took FOREVER to get. My drink order took 15 minutes to get. As a food publicist, the rule of thumb is that you have 4 minutes or less to get someone their drink. My salad was very bland but the server was really nice. I’ll try it again later and write a follow up review.
As a UCF Alumni I feel guilty stating that I’ve never been a fan of WackADoo’s. Located in the Student Union, it has a prime location and being that it’s primary demographic is students — the prices are very reasonable. The food here is okay, three star worthy — nothing too creative, and very little has changed on it since I first ate here 10 years ago. The ambiance here is laid back, and the service seems to match that. You would think with students needing to get to class, they’d be a little more mindful of time; however, eating here always seems to be a long ordeal. One time we had tickets for a show at the UCF theatre, and we had to keep nudging our server — a meal in a college student union shouldn’t be over a hour! There are certainly other restaurants around campus that I would recommend before WackADoo’s, but if you’re on campus and looking for a place to go, it isn’t terrible. If half stars were an option, I’d give 2.5!

I’ve only been here a couple of times(lunch only) but both visits have been consistent and left me full and happy. On the first visit, I had a chicken salad sandwich and it was delicious. Today, I got the College Club and it too, was delicious and fresh. Kudos to the cooks, not one complaint about the food. I’ve gotten the Yuengling both times in their«big ass» glass and it’s a great addition to the food. I’ve had Brady as my server both times at the bar and she’s awesome! She’s fully aware what’s going on in the restaurant and treats everyone so well. She and the other waitresses are always on their feet doing something. I wholeheartedly appreciate that they take their work seriously and that’s why I gave this place 5 stars.

Located inside the Student Union at the University of Central Florida. It’s independently owned and operated by UCF Alumni and students. The table set up is awesome and they have a game room inside. The other half has a bar where you can have a brew and watch the sports games. This evening had lots of people at the bar so I only took a picture of the tv screens. Lyndsay was the first person to greet me as I sat down. I saw the lunch special and had to order it. It was the BBQ Bacon Quesadillas with French fries and a side of Ranch dressing. BBQ, Bacon, and Cheese. You can’t ever go wrong with those flavors combined. Great place to come and have a bite. Wackadoo’s does a good job taking care of the array of customers who come in. Always busy. Not a dull moment at Wackadoo’s Lyndsay, you rock girl. YOUGO! Thank you so much for the quick meal with no hassle. Your customer service is well appreciated.
