Waffle House

Came here for a late breakfast before heading to Universal Studios, and was pleasantly surprised! The staff are friendly, and the food tasted great! It’s a small location, so there was a wait… but we had anticipated this, and were willing to wait. It was my first time here and I would return again!

Service sucks. Food is undercooked. We didn’t get our drinks until we were halfway through our food. Had to ask several times for our check. Overall terrible experience.

There is a female waitress at this location that is one the rudest employees I have ever ran into!?! SHE REFUSED ME A PEN? Yes, you read correctly. I am just as shocked.
Luckily tempest the waitress and Andrew the manager were polite so I tipped accordingly (actually 60%) for having to deal with Such a rude co employee and didn’t pitch a fit. Andrew said he would speak with her. Hmmn.
Unfortunately thing like this are what spoil good service.
Didn’t they mention they may replace minimum wage worker with kiosks/​machines. I have an idea where to start?
I am kidding just get rid of employees that can’t handle customer service! Right?

I didn’t even get a chance to eat there because the server never came! Also the kitchen looked disgusting and I saw many health code violations. I felt like I really need to shower when I left. We left after 10 mins of no one coming to our table. Absolutely horrible service!

Wayyyy better then Denny’s looks very getto but the had delicious breakfast I just didn’t like how the workers have attitude problems!

Waited for quite a long time on a Sunday morning. About 40 minutes. The establishment was a bit small and seems like it’s in need of an expansion. When we finally sat down, we already knew what we wanted to order. I ordered the all star special and was able to substitute the grits with hash browns with no extra charge. The waitresses were really friendly and food came out quickly after we ordered. The place itself had one of the dirtiest floors I’ve ever seen.
For a place called Waffle House, I thought the waffles would taste better. Mine was soggy and wasn’t very appetizing. The eggs and bacon were pretty good but nothing special. The orange juice was a bit on the sour side. However, I really enjoyed the hash browns and the fact that the strips of potato was on the thicker side. It was crispy and perfectly seasoned with salt. Overall, not bad. I’d probably come back when it’s not so busy and I’m in need for a cheap American breakfast.
Don’t go to the building with the tall waffle house sign. It’s actually the building next door.

I just love this all American Waffle House, watching the staff cook your food in front of you the ribeye steak is fantastic and the coffee is the best in Orlando :-) see you again in 2016

I have never been disappointed whenever I’ve visited a Waffle House whether in Nashville, St. Louis or Orlando. The atmosphere is special. I love that vintage diner atmosphere and their waffles are why I love waffles. Their hash browns are better than any other restaurants I’ve tried. Unfortunately I live in the Quad Cities where there are no Waffle Houses since well over 30 years ago. My wife and I ate here last week on our last 3 days of our vacation and on our next visit we will visit again when we are in Orlando. The staff was very friendly and professional. Thanks again Waffle House for another great experience.

I’m a waffle house fan, but this one was having some «staff issues» the morning we were there. The waitress taking our order didn’t know how to place her order the way the chef wanted, which caused an argument among the entire staff. This was very uncomfortable for us, because it was our order they were fighting about!!!
all i wanted was two eggs, toast & grits!!!
Our order came out wrong, we ate it anyway, and left disappointed.

This Waffle House brings me good memories because it is so affordable than a few years ago, I was sooo but sooo broke that I was vegetarian for months not by choice, and this was the first restaurant that I could buy some kind of «meat patty» (actually, my friend bought for me lol).
Today, I am seating here again, looking at the same menu, and everything remains the same: Super speedy waiters, happy cooks smiling and the breakfast better than ever! :-)
The new slogan is that they have «many items under $ 5 bucks!»

Awesome as always blueberry pecan waffle is awesome! I always order the All Star and switch up how I get it made.

Love Waffle House. We don’t have these on the West Coast. Quick service, food is your normal diner selection. But, the waffles are amazingly delish! Fresh! And those hashbrowns!

This is a tough place to review… Food alone for a cheap, breakfast spot 4 but overall restaurant cleanliness 2… First time I ever went to a Waffle House was probably sometime when I was 21 (10 years ago) a great place to eat after partying all night. Anyways this place is a very unique restaurant chain that these servers/​cooks are very skilled workers… If you notice the restaurant does not have a computer system and everything is called out and remembered, they write down the order and just work like old school diners. Everything is always cooked to order and with these little prices just about everyone can enjoy. I always feel that this place needs really big deep cleaning, and some feng shui… All waffle houses are tiny and feel cluttered… But I guess this is all part of there winning recipe for success!!!

Love going to the Waffle House when traveling to the south. First time for the kids and they both loved it. Pecan waffles are the best. Wife ordered a Salad?! It was not good. Stick with the waffles!

I pretty much LIVE at the Waffle House on East Colonial BUT today was my granddaughter’s birthday party and it was being held at Fun Spot. Well I have learned that the food served at places like that is geared for the KIDS and NOT for the ADULTS so… Breakfast at Waffle House it is… lol
I have been here several times in the past and it is a bit smaller than the one I usually go to BUT I was glad to see a face I knew. The manager used to be at MY store and I was glad to see her again. She was so busy she never even saw me come in the door but at 10 am on a Saturday morning… They are usually SLAMMED! The young lady working the door was very friendly and helped to pass the time while we waited for a table. She let me know she has ambitions of management and I hope she reaches her goals.
A table was ready for us and we went and sat down. The young man busing the tables seemed to be moving a bit slow and was not taking the time to move the condiments and such when cleaning the table. He also neglected to clean the syrup off of the top of the napkin holder. I pointed this out to my server since others may not be quite as understanding since this is an area frequented by the tourists. Our server brought us our coffee and took our order. I ordered «Mike’s Wrap which contains bacon, sausage, ham, egg, cheese and hash browns INSIDE and is grilled on the outside to a nice golden brown. My wife got her usual Jalapeño biscuit with bacon, egg and cheese.
Our orders came up quickly enough BUT the cook did not realize that the hash browns were to be INSIDE the wrap and I sent back the wrap. My wife was pleased with her order and this time the manager brought my order to the table. She smiled when she saw it was my wife and I and commented that about that order sounding familiar. As busy as it was, she took a minute to visit but she was needed back on the line and we understood.
On the way out I took her aside to let her know how we noticed that the server waiting on us AND the server waiting on the table next to us were on their A game. We also let her know about the attention to detail the gal at the door displayed regarding the stuff on the floor that her co worker should have picked up when he walked past. We also pointed out the lack of attention to detail the guy busing the tables displayed. I know that she will address those deficiencies but overall it was a positive experience.
Just FYI… I reclaimed my parking space when you left MY store… giggle

Waffle House can sometimes be hit or miss in terms of cleanliness and staff attentiveness but this one was great. We stopped by for breakfast before our flights and it was delightfully cheap and delicious.
You have to try the chocolate chip waffle.

A coworker asked how I had never been to a Waffle House before. We went, and then I knew why I had never been.
The place felt dirty. The food took a long time. I was watching some of it get prepared and it grossed me out. When it finally got to our table, it wasn’t hot. Or good. I went home and showered and crossed my fingers that I wouldn’t get sick. Would never go again.

Disgusted and very disappointed!
My husband and I came for a late night snack, we have never heard of this place before (as we are not from here) but we thought we’d try it out being so late at night.
As we arrived I had a weird feeling about eating here but since we walked a fair bit from our hotel we thought we may as well go inside.
The staff members were nice and polite to us but they need to do a better job about this place — it’s disgusting! Everything is just dirty, old and just shocking!
My husband thought the food was ok. I ended up eating a burger at McDonald’s next door as I couldn’t continue to stay and eat here.
A food and safety inspection needs to take place ASAP!

Yet another fine Thanksgiving meal at good olé Waffle House. This location was closest to Universal Studios where we spent the day walking a half freakin marathon. Anyways, I had five plates of food tonight to keep in tune with the Thanksgiving overeating tradition. Our waitress upsold me on a couple of plates that delighted me. Suffice it to say I walked outta there a bigger man than when I arrived. Cheers!
