Angels At The End Pet Home Euthanasia

I just had my Chihuahua put down on Monday.
She was 18 years old and such a huge part of our family.
What a wonderful experience for her and I to go through, she went to sleep peacfully on her bed.
And had none of the vet office“smells“to make her uncomfortable and in fear.
The last thing she remembers was me holding her while she ate her last cheeseburger (that Dr Volenec brought for her.)
Its still fresh for me and while I struggle daily with sadness and emptiness, I know I did the right thing in the right way.
When I recieved my card from her today with the news of the added bonus that her fee also covers animals in need after disasters. I felt proud of the fact that I could help in that way and I know Chica would too.
I will share her name with everyone I know that has to make the decision to send their beloved animal across The Rainbow Bridge.

Dr. Volenec drove to our house in Port St. John and helped our Chinook join his brother and aunt at the rainbow bridge. She was so compassionate and understanding. Chinook crossed peacefully and quietly at home where he belonged. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Dr. Volenec again the next time it is time to say goodbye to one of our kids.

Dr. Volenec was wonderful. When I had to make the decision to put my best friend of 13 years, Achilles, to sleep I was conflicted of where to go and how to handle it. My normal vet is amazing, but I didn’t want my poor dog to get stressed out and be scared in his final moments. Dr. Volenec comes to your house and performs the euthanasia wherever your pet is most comfortable. She was friendly, compassionate, professional and knew exactly how to act in our time of need. My beloved dog was able to remain resting on his favorite spot on our couch and just peacefully went to sleep. She even made a lovely clay pawprint with his name on it for us to keep as a memorial. After he passed, she handled all of the arrangements for us. She took him with her to be cremated and had his ashes returned to us very quickly. Her services were very reasonably priced and I wouldn’t have wanted to do it any other way. I would (and already have) recommend her to anyone and everyone. Losing a pet is never a pleasant experience, but Dr. Volenec at Angels at the End definitely was the best decision we could’ve made.
