We were greeted when we walked in and told to sit«over there». Not shown. The waitress that took our order acted like we were bothering her and we weren’t giving it fast enough. She rattled off the toast options so fast it was hard to understand. I ordered decaf coffee but she started pouring me regular. The food was ok but bland. The hash browns weren’t done. The ham was ok the toast was only half buttered. The waitress never returned to refill our coffee. I general I would eat breakfast almost anywhere else before I’d go back there.

Had the«raved about» fish/fries tonight or I should say my dogs did… stick with the great breakfast! Numerous employees explained a much different meal when I asked about the Friday fish. It was Mrs. Paul’s, plain n simple. I won’t even try the fried chicken, now, which I love. I rarely eat fried food but I know when the temp is too low or high… it was too low. Flush that $! Three stars as the BREAKFAST is great.

Ordered cowboy chicken fried for $ 9.88, sad sight to see. Overcooked, overdone, dry, nasty looking! Gravy was an odd looking brown with lots of white lumps! I don’t know if those were lumps of flour, was not willing to taste it! Waitress was good but place only had 6 people, I can see why it’s empty! Food is not good

Lots to be desired! Green Chiles and cheese omelet pretty good. Coffee and hot tea ok. Hash browns tasteless, toast cold and didn’t arrive until half way through main dishes. No reason to go here — lots of other better choices within a few miles.

JERRYBOB’S TREATEDMELIKE A THIEF&CALLEDOVPDONMEFORDINE&DASH! But here’s the twist; OVPD was able to contact me ONLY b/c I graciously & honestly left my name & ph # with the hostess after she kept insisting that my bill had been paid. Knowing they were making a mistake I made this hostess, in front of witnesses, write down my ph #!! NOTONLYTHAT, when OVPD called to accuse me of dine & dash, they 1st said my bill was $ 32.16 yet when I arrived to pay, the bill was suddenly $ 36. THEIRMISTAKE could have been solved professionally & respectfully but the manager was unapologetically smug & rude! I have never been treated so poorly by a business for their mistake & for my honesty! UNBELIEVEABLYPOORCUSTOMERSERVICE!!! NOTONCE did the manager apologize for a misunderstanding, inconvenience, poor customer service… nor did he thank me for being honest & coming back to pay or for LEAVINGMYNUMBERSOHECOULDCALLTHECOPS! In fact, he had the NERVE to act like he was kicking me out after the bill was settled. «Get out and never come back,» he said to me!

In my humble opinion a very average diner with an old-time feel to it, which is not necessarily bad, however the service and food was pretty mediocre. We were attended to quickly at first but when the waitress came to take our order we asked her to give us a few more minutes. Unfortunately those minutes turned into about 15. I finally approached another waitress who said she would get our waitress. It still took several minutes for us to put in our order. The omelet was fine but nothing to write home about.

I used to love this place but they have gotten a bit stingy on things that don’t cost much, like mashed potatoes. Food has always been average but ok for what this restaurant is. Ate dinner here and was served a child’s portion and when I complained about their new portion size I was told I could have more mashed potatoes for an extra charge. Poor customer service and a sure way to lose a long term customer over .05 cents worth of potatoes.

We were in Tucson visiting friends and they suggested Jerry Bobs. They usually go to the on on Oricle near Mcgee but we were closer to the La Canada location. The service was less than friendly, I had down loaded a Groupon earlier that morning only to discover this location doesn’t honor the Groupon voucher. When I asked what coupons they do except, they acted put out. They did say they except the local news paper coupons that’s available on line but you must have a printed copy, not the one on your phone. The food was good but they served my juice in a glass that did not have the lipstick cleaned from the last patron that used it. Heard Jerry Bobs was a great place for breakfast but this location was a more than a little off this morning.

I switched from the Jerry Bobs at Oracle and Magee to this location a couple months ago, because the service was better, and they have delicious burgers. Today however, was a disaster! We were seated 1st, but the server took the orders of 2 other tables(that came in after us). Our server never came back after giving us our food, to ask if we wanted anything else. In fact, I had to raise my hand for about 3minutes to get the attention of another server, just to get a straw! We were never offered refills on our beverages, nor did anyone offer us a box for our leftovers. When I payed, they did not even ask if we had enjoyed our meal. We left incredibly disatisfied. So much in so, that I called after we left, to speak with the manager. Even the reciept had the WRONGNUMBER printed on it!!! I’m so disappointed in the service here. The manager and staff spoke and joked with EVERYOTHER customer, except for our table. They showed such care and concern for us the last several times we had eaten there… this time, I was so frustrated with the service I did not even leave a tip! When I DID get the correct number, the manager did ask if there was something he could do. I declined anything, but I did let him know I would be telling as many people as I can, about the shoddy service. 2 stars for service. Would be 5 stars, for the delicious food, but the service was so bad.

I had been here a few times before and was satisfied with the service, but my most recent visit was enough to convince me to never come back again! I went with my mother for a quick breakfast before our day of errands. We arrived about 45 mins before close, which is plenty of time to order, eat, and leave. When we walked in there was no greeting so we stood awkwardly in the doorway waiting for anyone to direct us to a table. Finally the manager-like person told us to sit anywhere we’d like so we looked around to have a seat and every single table was dirty, and I don’t mean hadn’t been wiped down, I mean plates were still on the table, or it looked like a beast had just eaten there. So we selected the least disgusting table we could find. Our ever so unpleasant server came over, took our order, and then started doing her side work. She even put her sugar caddy on a table of eating guests to refill the sugar packets. The manager brought out our food and left us. My french toast was undercooked and it took 5 minutes before anyone noticed us asking for silverware. I never got a refill of water and the waitress never came back to see how our meal was. As we left there was no goodbye and the cashier was very rude. I have been a server, and I don’t expect much, but that was the worst service I have ever experienced!

We have tried this place twice. The first time was a lot better. This last time turned me off so bad it will be a long time before I return. I’ll still give them three stars for an Ok, not A-Ok, experience for both visits, averaged together and rounded up. For this last visit, my cole slaw was inedible. It had no flavor and it was dry. The catfish was over cooked but I still ate it but will not order it anymore. The fillets are too thin to deep fry and that is why they are almost burnt on the edges. No one ate the fries because they were battered. I thought this«fad» had run its course long ago. We were a party of three making do with only two sets of napkins & flatware. I asked for extra napkins but they never brought them. Our server did not give us the customary check back to ask if the food was ok.

Pick a second first name and head on in to Jerry Bob’s with your new alias. Anyone who has spent any time in Tucson knows Jerry Bob’s. Or at least«a» Jerry Bob’s. They seem to be popping up in strip centers all over town. Which is a good thing. Jerry Bob’s offers an affordable local alternative to the national breakfast chains like Denny’s and IHOP. The basic décor is matched by basic food. No disappointments. Not a lot of creativity. Sometimes you just want a plate of pancakes, bacon and eggs. Jerry Bob’s is a great choice. They do have daily specials posted, so there is some variety, but there’s really no signature item to differentiate Jerry Bob’s from the pack. We had no trouble finding a booth on this particular Wednesday morning. The staff was friendly. Coffee was offered promptly. Our order was quickly served. Our check was left at the table. The only problem was we were planning on sipping coffee after and going over some papers. Our table was never cleared, so we had to work around dirty dishes, and refills of coffee weren’t volunteered. Unusual for Jerry Bob’s in my experience, so I’ll give them a pass this time. I’ll be back to try again. And again.

Breakfast isn’t rocket science. Toast not toasted and spattered with grill grease and one hair. Hashbrowns undercooked. Omelet not fully cooked. Oh yeah, and don’t order the«spanish omelet» — that is unless you like half a can of cold stewed tomatoes poured over it. UGH! Last try for this chain!

Food just like your well-intentioned but senile grandma used to make. The toast is either not toasted at all or burnt. Mediocre but undeniably all-American fare. The staff are super friendly, though, and the restaurant itself is bright, cheery, and clean. Good atmosphere; average food.

My boys love going to Jerry Bob’s for breakfast. We usually go to the location on Thornydale but decided to try this one today. We all decided we liked it better because it’s lighter, brighter, and newish. The food and service were as good & consistent as the other location. What I really love about Jerry Bobs overall is their service is always super friendly and efficient, whether it’s your server, food runner, or busser. Our server today was Bronze who got bonus points from my boys for piling on the whipped cream on their hot chocolates nice and high. It’s one of the very few places my family of 5 can dine for less than $ 40(with tip)! The only negative is they don’t have Splenda. Boo!

This is my favorite Jerry Bob location not because it is so close to my house {that helps} but the atmosphere is bright and cheery. The food is always consistent — you get a good meal for a decent price. I only eat breakfast here so am not familiar with the lunch grub. If you’re super hungry — order the chicken fried steak! It comes on a plate by itself!

I enjoy Jerry Bob’s in Oro Valley as a locals kind of restaurant. It is usually quite busy, but they move fast. This time, Gary(husband) and I had a choice of waiting 5 – 10 minutes or sitting at the last table near the door(=cooler temps normally, when the door opens). We were in a hurry, so opted for the door table. It was a good choice. We were served fast and we did not notice the cool air by the door or any unwanted foot traffic too close to our table. The atmosphere here is nothing fancy at all, but there’s plenty of booths and tables, and a counter in the back, too. The laminated menus are already on the table, with a pretty simple list of choices. Breakfast is on one side, lunch choices on the other, along with more choices on an easel holding a white board with handwritten announcements of the day’s specials. We like the omelets here, although the waffle/bacon combo at the neighboring table looked pretty inviting. Most of the omelets come in around $ 6.00-something. Fair price for what you get. We got the Western omelets, with light cheese(not smothered, which is great), diced ham, green peppers and onions. I got hash browns and whole wheat toast. Gary got the same omelet but with pancakes. His came with 4 small pancakes(the ‘cakes didn’t seem too special). The omelets were excellent as were the hash browns. The toast was crunchy and hardly buttered(which is nice, since some places slather on the butter; you can always add butter but you can’t take it off!). We also enjoy their coffee, which was definitely tasty. You can have the little creamers or they have the vanilla or hazelnut flavored ones.(My fave thing to do is to combine the creamer with the hazelnut so you get all the flavor and a little sweetener, without too much dairy or sugar at one shot. OK, I do my best to minimize the collateral damage when eating out with the little things! Our waitress was attentive and efficient. The place was packed(being the day before Christmas Eve, the waitress felt everyone probably eats out to take a break from all the cooking preparations for the Big Feast to come). So they were efficient and tasty; they get good marks from us for delivering.

Jerry Bob’s in Oro Valley is relatively new. Like the other Jerry Bob’s locations it is a large room with booths and tables with a blackboard announcing the day’s specials. The breakfasts are mostly good and a great bargain($ 4 – 5) for pancakes, french toast, eggs, biscuits & gravy. I had a ham & cheese omelet with biscuits & gravy. The eggs were overdone and the biscuits hard and tasteless. My companions had french toast and pancakes which they thought were good. Lunch, for me, was a chicken fried steak which was more like breaded cardboard than meat. My companions had catfish which they liked though the mashed potatoes were instant. I liked the other Jerry Bob’s locations better than Oro Valley but you can’t beat the price.
