Just finished brunch… Chicken Fried Steak and corned Beef Hash w/poached eggs. Excellently prepared. Cute place. Wish we had something like this near our place. m

Oro Valley’s hidden gem. Locally owned and top notch service treating their customers like family. Food is always delicious and made to order. You’ll definitely want to come back again and again. Restaurant is in the Safeway shopping center at the corner of Tangerine and First. Janice is as good as they come. She’s the bomb!

We just tried to eat breakfast here… after waiting 10 minutes at the front, with no acknowledgement, we left. Yes, they were busy due to the holiday, but neither of the two servers even looked our way. We won’t be back.

I found this place via the Unilocal app, closest to the timeshare. The place was busy and packed for Sunday morning. The staff was friendly and attentive, keeping up with the pace of a big group who were out for a brunch. I’m vegetarian and tried the Sahuaro Omelette, it was quite delicious and very filling. The ambiance was awesome, it looked like many were regular and local customers, who really enjoyed coming there. I will definitely stop by there if I am back in the area.

I have to give this place, this nice local country style restaurant a 5. The staff was friendly and attend to our needs. We like this place so much that we went to eat breakfast twice here. For a price, the food was good. The first time we got here is after we checked in at our resort and decided to find a local restaurant(non fastfood) to sit down, relax and enjoy our breakfast. We just drove all night and as you might guess I was very tired and didn’t have energy. Well ordered chicken fried steak and eggs with coffee. That did the job and energized me. It was very tasty suprisingly and it was pretty plentiful for the price it was worth it. I was good to go for the rest of the day. We came back the second time prior to our departure heading home, this time i had to try their bacon and eggs. It was good and also plentiful. This was a Labor Day travel and it was good choice that we ate here again.

I Unilocaled this place! Found this little gem in Unilocal and had one of the best breakfast! I wanted to dine in a local café(preferably not an IHOP or a Denny’s) and started to search for nearby restaurants in Unilocal! This was one from the list and was only 2.7 miles from our timeshare. Walked in around 8:30a and the place was crowded, which is a good sign… the place must be good! Despite the crowd we were seated immediately. The menu were already on the tables. Couldn’t decide what to get. They only served breakfast and lunch. Finally settled with the Eggs w/chicken Fried Steak. Breakfast was served all day and I believe lunch was from 11a to close. So my eggs(cooked over-medium) and chicken fried steak served with hash brown and white toast was served. Took a beautiful picture of it for Unilocal prior to taking a bite. It certainly looked delicious as our friendly server placed my meal on the table. Proceeded to take my first bite and it was indeed delicious, the chicken was crispy and cooked just right, everything on my plate was fresh and yummy. Our server was great and so friendly. It seemed that all of the staff were friendly as I noticed that some locals are known and looked like repeat customers(staff knew some by name!). The restaurant has a warm welcoming feeling and our first experience visiting from California was good. Located in the Safeway plaza. If you’re facing the grocery store the café would be on the left. Private lot. Definitely will be back here again if we’re in the area.

Fantastic! Only serves breakfast and lunch — and they do both extremely well. My kids both had Monte Cristo sandwiches. Thankfully they were done properly(made on French toast instead of deep fried). The preserves had to be home made. The breakfast skillet with chorizo was outstanding. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. Well done!

This has become our go to breakfast place. The service is the friendliest around and they remember our names. The food is very good and the portions and prices are great. They have tables outside and we love to bring our dog to enjoy breakfast with us occasionally. She is given a fresh bowl of water and we always get her scrambled eggs. If you are in Oro Valley and looking for a nice place for breakfast give them a try. Usually not a wait for a table and the service is pretty quick if you are in a hurry.

We love Sahuaro Café! The Benedicts and the chicken fried steak are a must, and I’m from the South so I know good chicken fried steak. Everyone is always friendly and welcoming. Will keep coming back as long as they are around:)

Really not that good… The reviews made it seem like it was great, but we were not impressed. The overall taste was gross, and they failed to put everything ordered into our breakfast burritos. Price was fine, but still not ever eating there again, just ew.

Have eaten here many, many times without issue, good food and good prices. However, today I sent an omelette back because it wasn’t what I ordered. It came back thirty seconds later with the offending food items poorly scraped off and what appeared to be a small amount of dirt or carbon or «something» on the top of the omelette. This was the first time I’ve sent anything back to any kitchen in years. I didn’t touch it after seeing that. The waitress took it off the bill, which I appreciated, but it’ll probably be a long time before I go back. I get that they were busy, but I don’t think I was rude when I sent it back and I don’t understand why it had to come back to my table looking like that. I would have waited for a properly made omelette, because they’re generally very good here.

Stubbled across this place while visiting the Mom unit on the fourth of July. We were needing some parts at the hardware across the street and my stomach was starting to rumble. This is a very cozy and delightfully friendly café. Inside is very comfortable and the menu is quite large. You can get the feeling that you are a regular even if it is your first visit. Ordered the Eggs Benedict and had them substitute one of the canadian bacons for a sausage pattie. Decided to go with some Biscuits and Gravy on the side for the slam dunk. My wife went with two Eggs over easy with some strips of Bacon and toast. Service was good and the food came out rather quickly. Both of the dishes were very tasty and mine was a plate licker. Good thing there was some toast left over to sop up the rest of the hollandaise sauce. Definitely enjoyed the meal and would probably come back again. They have several other items on the menu that are not in the breakfast category and looked tasty. Prices are a little on the high side in my opinion. But when the tummy is a rumbling and a singing you’ve gotta honor it’s demands. ORDERUP! 3.5STARS

Erik and I discovered this place after we unsuccessfully tried to find a farmers market in Oro Valley. And even though I was disappointed we never found the market, I’m pretty happy it lead us to this place! I ordered eggs Benedict… and here you can create your own, so I got spinach, artichoke hearts & tomatoes on mine. It was delicious and came with the most perfectly crispy hash browns. Erik got a skillet, which I don’t think he enjoyed quite as much as I enjoyed my Benedict. But if we’re ever in the Oro Valley area again, this place will be a stop for us!
