Oracle Junction Restaurant

You know how, sometimes, you find thus little hole-​in-​the-​wall restaurant way out in the boonies… And they have awesome food?
This ain’t one of those times or places. Only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is that it was cheap.

Try as I might … i can not over come the the need to give a one star ratting. The terrible service and disappointment that greeted me as I stepped into the past, into a restaurant that sparked my love affair with «the cheeseburgers» from the age of 6. It wasn’t just a burger but a «Steerburger» …but alas those day are long gone. Now on the spot where carnivore love first flourished stand the shell of an establishment .
New carpets, new furnishings and apparently a new hostess/​waitress. As we entered she glanced up and mumbled something that was intended to mean «sit wherever you would like» but never came close. When asked about the breakfast quesadilla listed on the specials board at the entrance her response was «I wouldn’t know what’s in that, I guess the chef would know…(long pause)… .
i should have gone directly to the chef, because he knew what he was doing, his chorizo burro was hot and spicy along with a delicious plate of biscuits and gravy that made me ignore the fact that my coffee cup remained empty and my requested water and salsa never appeared.
In the end i realize that getting good food here is not worth the service-​battle and will in the future pass this «truck stop» by with now a passing memory of it’s former day’s of glory.
