Great place for fresh fruit, pizza and ado nuts. They have fun events too.

Drove 150 miles from Lake Stevens to get 5 gallons of the best apple cider ever for our wedding and decided to order 3 dozen each apple cider and pumpkin spice cake doughnuts for our fall décor wedding also this week!!!

Based on reviews I expected something unique — organic, pesticide free cider, raw. Well I guess it is not that time of year for raw, but I was disappointed that it wasn’t organic. The store itself was conventional American, nothing special. The cider tasted alright, I tasted way better.

I really like and appreciate what the owners and staff have done with Orondo Cider Works. This community oriented business is very welcomed by Sun Cove residents as well as those who live along this well traveled(yet lonely) stretch of 95. It is always adding new products to its shelves or introducing different prepared foods. It is not the best general fruit stand; however, it offers a wide selection of apples almost year round. Yes, Its a it pricey for some commodities, but that’s what you get with a small convenience store in the middle of nowhere. I have patronized Cider Works for years, I will continue to get morning coffee/espressos and fresh donuts as long as my waist line will allow.

We stopped in from the recommendation of the desk person at Desert Canyon. She said they had good pizzas. We ordered the Everything, which includes a healthy serving of fresh jalapenos. The pizza was fabulous, great crust, sauce and enough toppings to satisfy. Next time, hold the jalapenos. I love spicy food, but this was a bit over the top. We took it back to our room, as we wanted to eat it there. Will definitely return next time we’re in the area.

APPLE-LYWONDERFULNESS… Discovered them on a road trip from Seattle to Sun Mountain Lodge. Geez what have I missed out on all my life?! I’ve been drinking and giving my kids apple juice made from the same area as Orondo(I think this part of the state is financially attached to Tree Top) which tastes like pure sugar water when compared to the Orondo cider — pure nectar of the Gods. Now, I have to admit I bought and tried their hard cider(they make different dryness levels) and was not enamored. Was given a bag of their donuts as part of the purchase – ate a few days later though, and were still good. The cider is sold in some local Washington stores. If you want their products, call and they will ship. This is not evident from their website. I have ordered from them so that Thanksgiving will now be complete! Stop here and have a good time. They sell other items and food which I would have liked to try(homemade ice cream) They have picnic tables and a small play area for kids with fenced llamas to feed/pet. A really good experience.

Mmm, their cider(both hard and none)– excellent! I purchased half a gallon and between the three of us, finished it that evening. I thought a gallon would be too much, WRONG. It’s so good, it’s something else next to apply juice. Mmm! They also have Apple Cider donuts; and in the fall they have seasonal pumpkin donuts. The texture is that of traditional donuts; a firmer, denser bite. Definitely recommend going early in the day for their donuts because it’s not as fresh towards the end of the day. That and little flies may creep their way into the glass display by then. Great little spot, definitely coming by again! Cider options: Non-alcoholic Sweet-Dry Extra-Dry

Stopped by here along the loop, to try out the cider. We had a cup of cider and a cup of huckleberry. We were hungry so we also had a chicken and also a beef tamale. The tamale are a bit small compared to what we’re used to in the big city but we were glad to have it, nonetheless. They put some sort of weird sauce into the chicken tamale so i didn’t taste too much chicken. It may be to market some sauce they’re selling? If you have at least 2 ppl, buy the cider by the gallon. It’s almost the same price. We took the food outside next to their field. I enjoyed photographing their sunflowers. There are also llamas in their little barn.

Yum to the cider, hard cider, and cider donuts. Besides the wonderful snacks and drinks at Orondo Cider Works, you’ll find motor oil, work gloves, hippie skin care, ice, tamales, and all sorts of amazingly cool cider-house/changarro/corner-mart/hippie-mart mashup items. It’s fun to just walk up and down the aisles. If you buy enough(though I’m not sure what enough is), you get a free Orondo Cider Works bag, beige with a red logo. Very cute! Also, useful. Finally, they have a bathroom, which has been mentioned in previous reviews. It’s clean and even heated in cold months.

Is it okay to say that one of my favorite things about this place and the one thing I’ll touch on first is the clean bathrooms? One is cool, but deuce outside the comfort of my house is not so cool. The barn-type architecture had me at hay! Very charming space and property located on a hill with the view of the Columbia river. I first visited this place a couple summers ago when we designed and built an outdoor space for a client. The cider hits the spot on a cold winter day and just as refreshing on a hot summer’s day. Really can’t go wrong with apples. The shop inside has a variety of items you would find at a local quick shop plus some fresh fruit. There’s some outside seating for your viewing enjoyment whilst you sip on some refreshing homemade ciderrrr.

This is another place where we stopped on a road trip out towards the Lake Chelan Area. We stopped here to use the Washroom, but decided to check the place out. I was really impressed for multiple reasons. First, Apples for 79cents a pound is definite win. Secondly, the Apple Cider they sell here is pretty good. Third the people were pretty nice, Fourth the Salsa they made was fairly decent. In total, I really liked the place. The Apple Cider Slushy was really good too,

The only place to get fresh cider doughnuts-they are the best! Lots of other good things in the store like fresh produce and local products.
