Early Bird Donuts

Bought donuts at 8:15 on a Sunday morning. Stale. Day old at least. Too bad: they looked good.

Donuts are good, but flies in the DT Oroville store are gross! Been there a handful of times and each time I walk in there are 10+ flies hovering around the entrance and landing everywhere. One time I was asked if I wanted fresh juice and I looked down at the produce on the counter and there were flies on some of the produce. You shouldn’t have flies where you are selling food. Get some fans, point them at the door, circulate the air and push those flies out. Won’t be back until they are gone. Care more!

Very disappointed! My pops and I came here every Sunday for almost 20 years. Now under new ownership, the place is completely different. Plus, I discovered AFTER ordering that they don’t have a card machine, even though they still have the logos on the door and the register. I wound up going to the Donut Tree.

This review is for the Chico location. I have never been met with such generosity and kindness. Of course the doughnuts were great too!
I’ll definitely be coming back.

Early Bird downtown is the freshest donuts I have ever eaten. Every town I go to I must try the donuts and these are the best. They are moist and fresh. I tried the Blueberry Old Fashion the outer ring has a wonderful crispy layer with a great moist inside. I also enjoyed a nice moist buttermilk and apple fritter. I went back the next day and enjoyed fritter bites. Theses are little apple fritter balls they delivered with a great taste of apple, cinnamon and sweetness. I also enjoyed a chocolate old fashion that was great with a nice layer of frosting. Lastly I had a plain cake coconut that was moist and not overwhelming covered with coconut. In closing this shop I found out has two locations in Oroville. The downtown location is beautiful and by far the nicest and helpful employees. I can’t wait to try them again!!!
