You will not want to miss the baked goods. Lovely service … Especially patient with us as we took our time admiring the options. Staff also were great about coming up with delicious vegetarian options. The lobster roll and chowder were great. Very fresh. Our group tried the strawberry rhubarb pie, the chocolate scone, and the strawberry rhubarb muffin. We’ll be stopping by again for the baked goods, and more. Oh, and the view is tremendous. Sit on the back dock and watch boats by the crib stone bridge. Perfect.

For what it is, among the best of the best. Friendly service, fresh food(the baker walks over with her trays of scones, muffins, and pies). Sit at picnic tables under canopies or better, stroll down the ramp at the right side of the building. Away from traffic, extending over the water a small deck allows you to sit back and enjoy the views of working lobster boats, kayakers, and Sunday sailors as you enjoy a yummy breakfast or lunch, very fairly priced. Seafood chowder is very good.

Consistently good products. If they had nearby competition they would have to turn up the quality and service. Great setting. Food — good Variety — good Service — friendly, but kind of slow when it’s busy. Setting — quaint, casual, mostly outdoor picnic tables Prices — fair for the setting.

We were staying on the island for a weekend and were planning on cooking most of our meals. The first day we went into this place actually looking for eggs but came out with muffins and scones. We never ended up cooking any of our breakfasts because all of the baked goods here were phenomenal. We also started getting the breakfast sandwiches and those were just as amazing. I can’t recommend it enough.

One weekend my boyfriend, puppy, and I randomly decided to come out to Bailey Island. —After growing up working at a popular seafood restaurant and growing up on Cape Cod it might be hard to believe that I have never had a lobster roll until coming to Salt Cod Café. Something in me said it was time. Quaint little location-Prime real estate is on the the hidden deck in front looking out right over the water. Grab a lobster roll or some delightful chowder and grab a seat. Dogs are allowed out on the dock.(key for us)

I went here on the advice of friends and family that vacation on Bailey Island. I purchased a lobster roll and a small strawberry pie. The lobster roll was among the best I have ever had. I might add that I am a bit of a connoisseur of lobster rolls and am very picky. This lobster roll came with the option to toast or grill the bun. You have the option to add lettuce to the roll and to include either mayo or butter on the lobster. I chose a little of both. The lobster was incredibly fresh and the overall taste was amazing. And, at $ 15.00 it was reasonably priced for the area. The lobster roll came with chips. I ordered a super large unsweetened iced tea that was brewed to perfection. Based on advice from friends I also brought home a small raspberry pie. Wow was that delicious. The outdoor seating area was extremely clean and overlooked some of the most beautiful water scenes. If you are looking for a scenic place to grab a lobster roll it would be hard to do better than this.

Way overpriced and the pie was mediocre at best. We stopped in while on vacation in Harpswell. EVERYTHING was expensive. The ladies behind the counter were a bit rude and practically laughed at us when we asked for a pie. Apparently, you have to order it in advance. So we got a mixed berry and rhubarb pie. The crust was dry and not baked enough. The pie was way too thick. My mom was the one who wanted the pie and she wouldn’t even eat it. TOTAL waste of money.

This is family-owned waterfront café that serves delicious coffee and homemade muffins, scones, tarts, and pies(the blueberry tart is my fave). If you order a sandwich have it made with the their oatmeal molasses bread. The folks that work here are friendly and the entire operation has a great vibe. I love this place!

Best blueberry pie I ever ate! Nice chowder, too. That’s all I’ve had there, but I can’t wait to go back. Nice people, lovely view, really reasonable prices.

I loveeeee this place :) It’s right next to where I’m interning, H2Outfitters(a kayak guiding company) and I stop in for food all the time! It’s got pretty good prices, nice staff, and a lot to choose from. I think it’s worth a visit if your’e on Orr’s Island! :)

This is a quaint shack on the water of Orr’s island. The folks are friendly and the food is good. They hand make all your rolls and sandwiches to order and have quite a variety if you don’t want seafood rolls or chowder/soup. They have a shop that has a lot of maine sundries and a adjacent shop for snorkeling/hiking and exploring. Great stop for breakfast or lunch or snack.

Go for a lobster roll — all knuckle and claw. Go for the butter it makes all the difference. It was mouth watering. We also had a crab roll which was very good — just not as good if you know what I mean The corn chowder was also good and fresh brewed iced tea.
