My son and I come here all the time. The burgers and clams are awesome and the French fries are amazing! My son always gets a milk shake and dips his fries in it. Great service too.

The fish and chips are great. Big sized fillets and lots of fries. The milk shakes are good too. Would recommend this place to anyone passing through Orting.

Hoping this isn’t a duplicate review (thanks, mobile app)… as far as burger joints go, this place does not disappoint! The patties are thick, juicy & tasty. The fries are crinkle & plentiful (get the SMALL). Don’t be fooled by the location. It’s a small place with the BIG taste. Wayyyy better than In and Out, Whataburger and Culver’s.

Consistently good food. If you are in a rush make sure to call ahead. They are usually pretty busy so there can be a wait some times. The onion rings are fantastic too. Everything has always been delicious. Make sure to get their fry sauce. Yummy!

Big burgers and big fries!!! Burgers are freshly made and the fries are crisp and crunchy!!!

Big burgers come with big prices, the daily specials have gone from 3.99 $ to like 5.59 $ in the span of about 2 years. The owner attempts to make up cost by turning the heat down to a very uncomfortable temp. always get it to go and eat it in the comfort of your warm car. The food is quality and made to order hot and fresh. Fish and chips are hand breaded and the tartar sauce is above average, burgers juicy and sloppy a need for LOTS of napkins just don’t take extra you’ll get the stink eye along with a glass of water to go

This is the best branch of Herfy’s around– I know of 3 in the general area and the Orting one never disappoints. YUMMY.

My two sons and I stopped in here for a quick bite. It was our first time here. We ordered two bacon burgers and a large order of curly fries, because my youngest son wasn’t too hungry. I have to say, I was in a bit of a shock at the total, which came out to be almost $ 20. The burgers came out huge, and the basket of fries were enough for the three of us. The bacon was nice and crispy (3 slices), and the rest of the fixings were excellent. The service was excellent, as well.

Shockingly good. Burgers are great, big, greasy, lots of flavor. Service is always friendly, portions are sizable. The biggest surprise is the fish and chips, great fish and again, portions are quite generous.
If this place had fresh cut French fries, it would get 5 stars for sure, the frozen crinkle cut fries are ok…

This place is one of my «take out» places when cooking is out of the question.
Downgraded to two stars due to their policy of not allowing cards to be used for payment if under seven dollars or less. At least let us use our cards and feel free to charge $.50 for a surcharge for doing so. I like that better than not letting us use our cards at all. It’s very inconvenient. I approached the manager/​owner about it and he suggested I go to an ATM machine or go to Safeway and get cashback. Obviously, the he’s is missing the point.

If you’ve read my reviews of other fine dining experiences in the Orting area, you’ll know that I rate these restaurants based on the comparable food in the area (since Orting and Graham are quite far removed from the rest of civilization, it makes sense to compare them to each other, and not a restaurant you’ll have to drive an hour and half to visit).
That being said, Herfy’s scores a solid 4 stars in my book. The service is all handled at the counter (so don’t expect excellent table side wait staff). The younger guy who runs the counter most days I’ve visited is friendly, efficient, and doesn’t make mistakes with your order which is a big plus.
The food generally makes it out pretty quickly and is always amply portioned. I’ve tried a number of their burgers and teriyaki dishes and found all to be good. Definitely the best burger joint in Orting and almost as good as Wawa and Modoo for teriyaki.
During the summer, the milkshakes are well worth stopping in for.

Walked a death march with my GF on the orting trail on a hot sunny day. Stopped for a milkshake and she declared it the best chocolate shake she had ever tasted.

Amazing variety of milkshakes and other foods. You’ll have a much better selection than the bland options at the Golden Arches. Friendly staff in a cozy spot in the shadow of Mount Rainier.
