I’ve been to Arris in Lenexa and really love their gyros but in Lenexa they are right across the street from an amazing middle eastern restaurant so if I want gyros I go there. At the lake however, this is the place to go for a great gyro and yummy fries.

Web site stated restaurant is open until 10pm. Drove into restaurant with party of 6 arriving at 9pm. Dark and closed. Lesson learned, always call first to see if they are open and are still in business

Being a big fan of Arris’ in Springfield, I was severely disappointed with my experience here. The meat in my Gyro was dry as cardboard, and the tzatziki had absolutely no spices in it. I’d always wondered why people I knew from the Lake and Jeff City always laughed when I talked about how much I loved ours, but now I know.

We came here on a Tuesday evening and have been appalled. Every time the manager walked behind our table you could here him sigh loudly and make some sort of weird raspberry sound with his tongue and lips. Ick! Our waitress forgot our plates and when we asked for a spatula to self serve the pizza, she was gone for five minutes and said she had to go find one. The pizza, the most expensive on the menu, was lackluster to say the least. The cheese was tasteless, the chicken was all dark meat and very lightly spread on our pizza, the few tomatoes and spinach we had were bland. I had higher hopes for this as the Arris in Springfield and Jeff City were wonderful. Save your money and get a DiGiorno’s frozen pizza at the Hy-Vee next door.

Really great pizza — hand tossed thin crust with some variety in ingredient options. I really like the George’s with the roma tomatoes & feta cheese, but the Apollo is awesome — kinda like a Hawaiian pizza with a kick. I’ve tried the gyros, too, and they’re pretty tasty – order them with feta and the tsatziki sauce that it comes with is stellar!

Our first impression ws not so good — a blast of smoke greeted us as we stepped inside. The host asked«smoking or non-smoking» and I was kind os surprised, thinking there would be no way to get away from that smell. We sat in a booth on the far wall, though, and it was fine. This place is a kind of GreekItalian hybrid. Mostly it’s a pizza place, I guess, but the menu has lots of other options. We tried the House pizza, which is a basic deluxe, really, with sausage, hanburger, green pepper, mushroom, onion and I can’t remember what else. The cheese is kind of a mystery — I don’t think it was mozzarella because it wasn’t stringy at all, but I don’t think it was provel either. Maybe some kind of mix. Whatever it was, it all came together for a really good pizza. The crust was not too thin and just the right crispiness for my taste. We also shared a house salad which was really big and just fine. All iceberg lettuce from what I could tell. The beer selectio was weak. Bud Light, Miller Light, Shock Top(Wheat) and another wheat. They would be wise to pick up an IPA, maybe a lager, stout or porter, too. My daughter had the mac and cheese, which came with some pre-made and re-heated«fries» shaped like smiley faces or something. She didn’t like any of it and it didn’t look good to me either. Next time I think she’ll have some pizza with us. We’ll be back for more pizza for sure. Maybe more.

Never disappoints. This place is like your favorite pair of jeans. Always comfortable always fits. Same great food for the 30 years I’ve been eating it. Service is sometimes slow but servers are always friendly.

I have pretty standards when it comes to Greek food. In Chicago, we have some amazing establishments so I was a little nervous to try this place. The food was surprisingly good, not amazing, but good(gyro dinner and Greek salad). The gyro meat was fresh and moist and the salad dressing was tasty. Service was mediocre. We were one of three tables in the restaurant but after dropping off our food, we didn’t see our waitress again until she presented the check. Never asking if we needed/wanted anything else before leaving. My drink had been empty since have way through the meal, yet she never stopped by to see if we wanted to order another. It was kind of like she was rushing us out even though they were open for another hour. May stop in again next time we are here to try pizza with the hope the service is a bit better.

Great food and good service! We tried the house pizza and it was awesome… the ingredients tasted fresh! I would give this place 5 stars, but it was somewhat dirty. The floors had a lot of crumbs on them. There were a lot of flies too. Our waiter apologized and sat us further back away from the windows and there wasn’t another fly in site! :) Overall, a great place to visit for a quick bite to eat.

Went during lunch on a Wednesday. I had the buffet for 7.99 and my wife hat the gyro sandwich plate for 9.99. The buffet had fresh salad and toppings with 4 choices of dressings. The rest of the buffet was 4 one topping pizzas(made an hour prior), spaghetti n meatballs, and some fried finger foods. The buffet was good for the price. My wife said the gyro plate was tasty with good tzatziki sauce in a nice flatbread. Overall good food with friendly staff. Nothing über special though.

Great place. Clean, nicely decorated. We had a gyros sandwich and a pizza. Both were well-made, tasty, and a generous size. We will be back again. :)

I was first introduced to this Greek pizza in Jefferson city(The original) and I have to say it blew me away. It’s hard to describe, but I would say typical pizza has some nice flavor and is generally good… well this Greek pizza smacks you in the face with flavors. It’s unbelievable. This location is definitely just as good as in Jeff city, and because it’s a little newer, it has some really nice décor/environment etc. If you’re not into pizza, they also serve legit Gyro sandwiches, which brings that greekness to the forefront. Anytime I go to the lake(I live in STL), I’m hitting up this place for sure.

Nice little place for lunch, wish they could be on the water! Good atmosphere and bar area! Good food with a fairly large menu, lunch time they have a small buffet with pizza. Greek Salad is yummy and huge, get it with the dressing on the side because you will be taking some home! The sandwich’s are plentiful! Will be returning her for sure, can’t wait to take my husband!

I have eaten here several times over the past few years. I have always had the buffet and been disappointed every time. The salad on the buffet is fine but the pizza really isn’t. There is always a lack of food on the buffet even when they are not busy. The pizza just doesn’t have a good taste or look… and I’m not picky. If you must go, order a pizza and I hope you have better success.

I had a chance to try out Arris pizza this past weekend, I have to admit that I was a skeptic of the food simply because I have been spoiled by some other great pizza in the past. I was very impressed with the quality of the pizza and ingredients. This is a must try if you are visiting the lake. Also if you are visting during the week be sure to try out their lunch buffet, which I can only imagine is great.
