The bad, very long wait time. The good Cuban sandwich special, was good probably to spicy for most. When one waitress noticed she ask and took care of Mt order and the couples to me quickly.

Seriously disappointed in how poorly trained the entire staff was. The food was great, but literally every person working the front was clueless about how to:(1) greet customers that are there for the first time(2) keep customers that have waited WAYTOOLONG for their orders aware that YOU are aware we’ve waited way too long(3) have the decency to offer additional water to customers that have waited WAYTOOLONG for their food and have an 88 year old guest with them and(4) respond to our request to please check on our order without snarkiness. Shocked that even after asking to please check on our order, or waitress never spoke to us again until or food was finally out. I finally grabbed another person and asked could we please have some more water. It’s 86 degrees outside, we’ve waited over 45 minutes since our order, and every table that came in behind us has eaten, paid and left. CLEARLY there was a problem. A class way of dealing with a problem is to make damn sure your guest have something to drink and maybe bring a them a free dessert to show them you f’d up and care. SHOCKED by the clear lack of training. SHOCKED your staff is walking around in flip flops. Really take it up a notch. Maybe train your staff, give them all a shirt that would identify them as employees. You can only hang on to your business with the food quality for so long.

The short story would be Good food Bad service. We went there today for brunch and literally(no exaggeration here) it was 50 minutes from the time we ordered before we got our food. There were literally four tables who arrived anywhere from ten to 15 minutes after we did, who got served their food, finished eating and paid their bill — all before we even got our food. Also, during the entire wait our server never said a word to us. She never checked to see if we wanted more coffee or water. It was not until about 45 minutes into our wait that we lost our patience and said what is the deal with our food and could we have some more coffee and water? At this point every glass on our table was empty. It was down right rude to see about a dozen people arrive after us and finish eating and leave before we even got our food. I won’t be going back anytime soon.

First off let me start by saying we were a large group going to a smaller — ish bar. However, I called ahead to let them know a large group was coming so they wouldn’t be caught off guard. The minute we showed up, our waitress Erin was incredibly rude and completely unprofessional. First, she told us she couldn’t split the check… who nowadays cannot split checks? Are you living in the stone ages? Secondly, it took her so long to refill drink orders. The last straw was when she actually rolled her eyes at us when we asked for waters! We were celebrating a really joyful occasion and she just made it uncomfortable. The other woman bartender really stepped up and helped us and was cool, I’m sorry I don’t know her name. Over all, the food was AMAZING, the service was HORRIBLE. We will not be going back — all 15 of us.

I’ve never been refused service… But there is a first. There aren’t too many places downtown Oshkosh serving food after 9PM. I thought how lucky there was a place within walking distance of the hotel… Honestly, the only place. I walk in find a spot at a table, ask if they are serving food still, it says they are online, I’m told no. As they are bringing out platefuls of food to others. I said can I get that. Nope, it’s a fixed menu tonight for a beer tasting. Great, I’ll take that. Nope! OK. I explain I’m really hungry, there is no place else open, I’ll pay for anything they are serving. I just want to get some food and drink. Nope. So I leave. I look for another place on my phone. Nope. Go back in ask again, how can they refuse to serve me it isn’t a closed party. Nope. Easily done. I leave I write a review. I will never know what their food is like. When ever I’m in town and I have to bring clients out it won’t be there. It’s stunning to me today that anyone would turn away paying customers. Good luck. I’m never coming back and I’m letting everyone know I was refused service because I wanted to spend money. Just plain stupid.

I’ve only had the cheese curds here, as far as food. But they’re great. The old fashioneds were a bit overpriced, so I stick w/soda when I go here. But it’s a great atmosphere. The service has always been pretty good.

This has become our go-to place for reliably great food and tasty pours. The server recommended the steak ceasar wrap, and I really enjoyed it. My husband loves the soup and grilled cheese. If you are only passing by, you must order the cheese curds and truffle fries! Try it for brunch on Saturday or Sunday.

Wow I still think about this place all the time. Oshkosh has some hidden gems!!! We had chicken satay, chips and spinach dip and a grilled cheese with soup and some fun cocktails. I was sad we missed brunch cause I was dying to try the hangover pizza!!! I don’t live in Wisconsin but I visit family there often and this will definitely be a place I check off my list once or twice while I’m there! Cute atmosphere, tvs, juke box! Cool spot

We were here for the farmers market and we decided to stop in. I had the breakfast pizza and a scone and my girlfriend had the Spanish omelette. Everything was doused in a gross cheese sauce. The scone wasn’t very good just tasted like hot sugar. The breakfast pizza’s crust was over-cooked/burnt. The place was loud with people and the music playing just added noise to the experience. We weren’t happy with the food, but the orange juice was great.

Absolute duck up of a good idea. Everything is ok with the exception of the service. 10 minutes to get a server. Outside is a good idea but totally botched. The workers come outside and start talking trash and smoking g cigarettes while we were eating. Food was usual Oshkosh.

Went here on Tuesday for a couple drinks before dinner. This place was recommended by some people so we decided to check it out. Person I was with ordered a sangria & I ordered a Moscow mule. I liked how the place looked, but wasn’t impressed with my Moscow mule. It was ok. I heard the sangria was really good though. I’d still come back to try the other drinks they have & maybe the food too.

Great food, horrible service. After waiting 20 for my check I was told to go to the bar by my waitress. Went to bar and they had no idea what my bill was. Should have just walked out but instead I not only paid my tab but regretfully left a tip.

Love the Sunday brunch. Recommend the hangover pizza. Also enjoy the burgers. Best around — great bar vibe and a fun place during Saturday farmers market.

This is a quaint and stylish establishment on Main that is a definite cut above the more divey drinking establishments that dot the landscape of downtown Oshkosh. Hell, dot Oshkosh and Wisconsin in general for that matter. While I am a huge fan of dive bars and«hole in the wall’s» just in general, it is nice to have a bit of diversity to the downtown scene. The food is not what you are probably expecting from a place that operates mainly as a tavern. Sure, some of the items are of the brew pub variety, but if all you are expecting is chicken tenders with ranch dressing and nachos you will be pleasantly surprised to find that is not the case here. The menu has a great deal of diversity for such a small place, and I have yet to have a bad meal here. The spinach and artichoke dip here is fabulous, and while tons of restaurants do a similar variation on this popular app, this ranks among the very top I have experienced. The Tilapia fish tacos are also outstanding and very reminiscent of what you would typically find in many parts of Southern California. Rounding out my top 3, the crab cakes are also quite good for the Midwest. Though as a guy that has spent a great deal of time in Baltimore, Maryland, I have incredibly high standards for such things. As for booze, expect to find your typical Wisconsin bar staples, as well as several craft beers and premiums that are far less common. They really should add some variety to single malt scotches and super premium tequila to round things out in my humble opinion, but I also realize that Oshkosh is not Chicago either. Service here has always been quick and efficient, though it does get bogged down by high volume like any bar or restaurant does on occasion. During warmer months they have outdoor seating which is cool if you like to people watch and chill out on Main Street, especially during the Saturday farmers market. Though if you plan on scoring one of those tables I recommend you show up early. The Roxy down the street still has my vote for the best food to be found on Main(and among the best in Oshkosh) but 430 still does a great job and is worthy of 4 star billing.

Great place for a beverage, to socialize, or to catch a game on the TVs. This place is a frequent lunch and dinner sport for me, menu is adaptive and creative. I recommend the Black & Bleu Burger or the Fish Tacos. Service is great, like a family feel while here. Recommend checking it out! Specifically when its warm out and the garage door is open!

A friend and I had dinner here recently, and it was a mixed bag. The spinach and artichoke dip was delicious, and I appreciated the server bringing us some veggies as well as the chips. I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The soup seemed a bit oddly spicy, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu, and the grilled cheese had too much bread for the amount of cheese. It was ok, but not something I’d go back for. My friend enjoyed her curried carrot soup, but was disappointed when we found out that they don’t offer dessert(just one item, only sometimes, according to our server). Also, it was pretty cold when we were there, and the front door opening and closing kept sending in wicked drafts. Surely some sort of vestibule could be set up so customers near the door don’t freeze to death? Honestly, while it was fine, I’m not super excited to go back, and so I probably won’t.
