Are you a hippie? Do you look like the kind of person who smokes a lot of weed? Are you concerned about the environment and/or shop religiously at the farmer’s market? Yup, this is your store! Don’t get me wrong, regular people can shop here too — the employees were super nice to me, and patiently took things down for me to look at. And boy, do they have a lot of stuff! All variety of hippie-style skirts and other clothing, décor, wind chimes, a crapload of incense in the back… but upon closer examination, most of this is typical made in China junk. I mean, I bought a glass ball wrapped in rope to hang in my living room, and it was about five bucks. And made in China or Vietnam or one of those places Americans can’t find on a map. While I definitely have a friend that I want to bring here, I don’t think I’ll be returning for myself — a combination of cheap junk I don’t need, and just plain not my style.

A lovely and eclectic little establishment in the heart of downtown Oshkosh. Most people in town think of this as just a head shop, but they sell a variety of items that are unique and add flare to your living space. Their selection of incense is amazing, and the employees of this establishment are always friendly and conversational when I come in. So much so that I often stop in just to chat. Great Place!

What? No one’s ever reviewed Satori’s before? That is just wrong. I love this place – especially the smell of it. They have just about anything a hippie could ask for. Ponchos, tie-dye shirts, incense, posters, hackey-sacks, door beads, candles, soap, sweaters, mittens, wall hangings, and so on and so forth. There’s also a tobacco shop in the back, if you’re into that. Everything is reasonably priced, and they have a deal where if you buy 100 sticks of incense, you get 10 free. Just ask them to start a card for you, and then tell them, whenever you go in. However, my favorite part is that every time you spend $ 25, you get a free Satori t-shirt or tote bag. If you spend $ 50, you get a free long-sleeved t-shirt. It’s pretty awesome, and they change the design every month or so.
