Always such a nice pass time when I’m at this park. The zoo is cute and its nice to just walk threw by the lake. When its sunny the best is to just to sit at the beach and soak up the sun.

This park has some amazing features for a city park. First, the park has an amazing wood play structure. I helped build this structure when I was in college at UWO. I love bringing my children here as it’s an amazing place to play. This park also contains a small amusement park. The amusement area includes a train and whip ride. In addition, you can rent aqua bikes, paddle boats, and a mini pontoon to take around the lake in the park. The park is home to the Menominee Park zoo. The zoo is free to visit and is funded by donations as well as a small gift/concession stand. The zoo is ~10 acres and is home to a variety of animals(depending on the season). The park has several paths and trails that are perfect for running and biking along the water. Lastly, the park is home to several community events — The Oshkosh Celebration of Lights, Race for the Lights 5K, Oshkosh Polar Plunge, Ribfest. Definitely a place to visit!

This is our family’s go-to when it comes to an afternoon at the park. The drive is not far and you have the best of a few worlds. Menominee Park is the home of «Little Oshkosh» playground, what I have heard called a dream park structure. It is a HUGE wooden structure with plenty to keep the kids busy. Within sight of the playground, there is Menominee beach that has changing rooms, showers and restrooms open during the summer season. We tend to take a picnic lunch and make an afternoon of it! Aside from the playground and beach, there is also Menominee Park Zoo. A small, free zoo with a fair variety given its size! The zoo has a snack bar and vending machines if you are in the mood for such. Finally, there is a small amusement park area where you can rent paddleboats for the lagoon, ride a small motorized train or go on a few other rides they offer. The price is insanely reasonable for what you get! Less than $ 10 for my kiddo and I to do two attractions apiece. The paddleboats you can rent for 30 min. or more at a time. This park is huge with a long walking/riding/rollerblading, etc path, so you do not have to pay a dime to relax and get yourself or your kids some exercise!

This is one of my favorite outdoor places to hang out in all of Oshkosh. I read a ton in my spare time, and in nice weather it is a great place to take an old blanket and a good book to enjoy some scenery as you turn some pages. I even have a couple of fav spots that I use for just this purpose. The park itself is also very well maintained. gras is always mowed in summer and restrooms are always stocked. The park also contains a long and winding walking trail that I like to rollerblade on. Aside from the great exercise, it provides a nice jaunt thorough some picturesque scenery. On a clear day, you can see most of the wind farms on landscape on the far side of Lake Winnebago. For those with kids, there is also an abundance new playground equipment they are sure to have a blast on. I do not think I have been to the park on a nice weekend afternoon ever that there was not at least 20 – 30 screaming kids going bonkers in this area. That said, the park is plenty large enough to find your own quiet little nook to relax, turn your cell phone off and unplug from the world for a bit.

I only gave it 4 stars due to not allowing dogs anywhere in it. I think that’s ridiculous and my dog loved walking by the water before I know it was illegal. Besides this detail, which doesn’t apply to everyone, it’s a gorgeous park and I am truly grateful I live close by!

Only went to the zoo, but the rest of the park looks nice. The zoo is fairly small, and temporary(that is, the animals are rented for the season.) Nice, well-kept displays of local and other animals. Staff is helpful and professional, and clearly care about the animals. Free, and mainly for the kids but fun for adults too.

I am very surprised that Oshkosh and the surrounding communities do not promote more tourism with some nice resorts. With that said, I would be just fine keeping Menominee Park my own little secret. Visited for the first time since my childhood this past June. It has the absolute nicest playground I have EVER seen! Absolutely gorgeous! The beach is very nice too with decent bathrooms and a nice food stand at the free zoo. All and all a great way to spend the day. I would recomend you bring a picnic and supplement with the food stand. And beware there are no life guards on duty.

It is a great park. In the summer, I usually take family and friends who visit there. It is a fabulous place to relax or play.
