The Bar – Oshkosh

Ordered delivery a couple times now. All have been just great. Love their boneless chicken wings! Enchiladas @ burritos were both good also.

Nothing great inside really. The outside patio with natural gas fire pit is very nice.

I don’t get the negative responses and feedback. I had excellent service and they serve great bar food with cold beer on tap! They also have a millions televisions and changed one of them so I could watch whatever I wanted. I’d definitely recommend them to visitors like myself!

We got delivery. I had the pesto chicken sandwich. The bun was dry, the chicken was dry and there was very little pesto.
My friend got the chicken wrap. There was so much ranch dressing in the wrap she couldn’t eat it. It was literally dripping out all over!
The fries and homemade chips were great.
For the price we won’t be ordering again.

The waitress/​bartender wasn’t very nice upon arrival. Was very short with us and had another waitress take our order which turned out to be wrong and noticed said waitress was leaving for the day. The food in my opinion is overpriced I got the roadhouse burger and the burger itself was burnt around the edges very dry for it being a med well. My friend got the buffalo chicken wrap and all it was, was just chicken and lettuce and a bunch of sauce. Overall food was mediocre. They do have a great happy hour though! Would be great if they had food specials

Got two burgers here. A classic cheese with an extra patty and added bacon, and the Brew Pub Burger with an extra patty.
The website says, «All of The Bar’s burgers start with a fresh 1/​3-​pound Angus beef burger patty cooked char-​grilled to done.» but all four patties on both burgers came extremely undercooked. This would not have bothered me in an establishment that offers food cooked to lower degrees of doneness, but when it’s not an option and then the establishment defies its own rules, you must wonder:
1: Does the establishment fully cook its meat because it is heavily processed and unfit to be served in any state before well done?
2: Was this a severe oversight on the cooks part? Is this even safe to eat?
I could not keep anyone on the phone when I called in the next day.
This is a real shame, because the ingredients we got seemed to be of high quality, besides the pretzel bun which looked like it may have been molding on the bottom side. Management needs to take a close look at what exactly is being kept in stock in the kitchen, and do periodic quality checks to make sure the food has not slid into mediocrity or worse, to levels unfit for consumption.

Very decent bar with good food. The food can take a long time but just go play some darts and it’ll be there before you know it. Good, seasoned bartenders, usually very friendly.

I’ve been here a few times and this is always the case: the food is average bar food, the service is very friendly but also very slow and the prices are comparable to your average bar. Because the experience is always mediocre and the horrible service last night, I won’t be going back.
Last nights service: we ordered our meals and didn’t see our server for 30 minutes. At 30 minutes, she came out and told us the food would be out soon. 15 minutes later she came back and told us it would be another minute or two. 10 minutes later, she brought us half of our food correctly. 2 of the 4 meals were correct, the 3^rd meal she brought wasn’t ordered by any of us and she didn’t have a 4^th meal. My order came out 5 minutes later and was terrible. It was obviously finished 30 minutes prior and was sitting under a heat lamp for at least that long. The 4^th meal was never sent to the kitchen and we could wait 30 minutes for it to be made if we wanted (we didn’t).
The worst part about our meal last night was the «manager» came out and his first offer was to give us the 4^th meal that never came out for free (how generous). Our friends were visiting from out of town and wanted to know if he could do something other than that. He offered to give us some gift cards (which assumes we’ll be coming back…). We declined the gift cards and ended up getting our 3 meals at about half off. Since the service was horrible, the food was pretty bad and they didn’t feel the need to comp our meals right away, I’m not going back. Maybe you’ll have better luck.

Minus: wings good but all middle sections, no drummies.
