Great place. I just moved to Ossining and keep finding myself coming back here for the wonderful homemade pastries. The empanadas are pretty good too.

Nice place to stop while bike riding along the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail. The name is Douro Café. Unilocal has it as Cidade Café.

New management — not a Portuguese bakery any longer so don’t expect the same pastries as with the previous manager.

This bakery is now called Café Express. The owner is the baker from when it was cidade café. The pastries and food are delicious. Nice family owned business.

This is more of a simple update, it seems that the bakery is under new management. So far so good, everything seems to be the same quality.

Great people — a family who takes turns manning the café. Really tasty pastries and good coffee. Haven’t tried the sandwiches yet. Little but cool interior. Open almost all day, every day! Opens at 5:30 all week except for Sunday, when they sleep in and open it up at 6:30.

This is a Portuguese bakery that also serves breakfast and lunch. I’ve only had the pastries and they are delicious. I wish I could be more helpful by identifying the names of those desserts I’ve tried, but unfortunately I couldn’t pronounce or repeat those words even right after the staff said them. Sorry! The staff is friendly and helpful. The price is reasonable. I strongly recommend this place to anyone who has a sweet tooth.
