Mavis Discount Tire

The only reason I even come to this place is because I bought a warranty on my tires when I first got my car. So I get them at a prorated price whenever Godforbid something happens.
I usually have to wait hours to get a flat fixed and am always told it will be ready at a certain time and it’s not.
But yesterday’s experience literally ticked me off. I called at 8am to see if my tire was in stock. It wasn’t so they said they would ride it and told me to call around noon to see if it came in from. I explained that I wasn’t sure if I even needed the tire and was wondering if they could check if the tire could just be fixed (due to a puncture). The person told me to come around 12 and that they still would order the tire just in case.
When I got there at 12 they told me they could fix the tire and it wouldn’t take long at all. I was on my lunch break so I decided to leave the car and come back. They told me they would call me when the car is ready.
4 hours later, no phone call. So I called and the man told me «oh yeah we are actually working on the car now you can come in 15 mins»
30 mins later I come by and my car is in the same spot I left it at 12 and had not been touched. The donut was still on the car. I walked in and the man told me I never gave him my car key. Which is not true. I left it with him.
So he found the key and said to give him 10 more minutes.
I think it is very rude and extremely unprofessional to tell a customer over the phone their car is being worked on and when they get there the car hasn’t even been touched.

I appreciate this Mavis discount location. They are honest about the service and always have great deals. They do not scam you.
In October I went to them to get new brake pads and tire rotations. I left my car there and asked them to call me when it’s ready. When I came back they told me I didn’t need new brake pads yet but they still did the tire rotation for FREE. Most places would’ve just changed the brake pads even though your car didn’t need it yet to get your money. So thank you, Mavis, for your service and honesty.

I again had to avail myself of Mavis’ excellent, honest service. Getting a flat is a pain-​in-​the-​butt, but these guys make it as painless as possible. I asked for a inexpensive version of the high-​grade tire that had blown (as I may not have this car much longer), and the Manager (My Lord, a retail store with competent management!) quoted me a fair price without an argument. He also helped me remove a external mounted spare which had frozen in place, no extra charge. RECOMMENDED without reservation.

I just took my car in to be inspected. They turned it around within 45 minutes — which I thought was pretty good. I like Mavis — I take my car in for oil changes and tire rotations. They always do a good job.

I bought my tires here. Service was immediate and I spent 1000 bucks on Cooper on/​off road tires.
Try Try Try, however, to schedule rotations and balancing, all of the stuff that comes for «free» with the tires. I was told to come in, then told to come back the next day (with my wife following me and trying to find a place to park there? Please). The next day I come in and I’m told I have no appointment. At which time, of course, I am pissed.
Getting your tires is easy at Mavis. Getting the free service that comes with them (free rotation and balancing for the life of the tires) is not so easy. In fact, it’s infuriating – and you have to be prepared to leave your vehicle all day – in this case for a 20 minute balancing job.

I lived down the street from mavis tire so i go there because the location is convinient. Usually go there just to get tires switched. This one particular time, they suggested i get my brake fluid replaced. They said it was black and need to get changed soon. I told them i would take my car to my mechanic. The next day i took my car to my mechanic. They looked at the brake fluid and it was clear. They even showed me because i couldnt believe mavis tires would lie to my face. Mavis tire, or whoever told me my brake fluid needed to be replaced, is dishonest.

UPDATE: I received a call from the regional manager of this branch and he was seriously concerned about my experience. Not only did he make it right financially he told me he made some adjustments to the management team of this branch. I will return to Mavis in hopes they can provide better service.
