My wife and I were looking for a breakfast/brunch spot halfway between our house and my uncles last weekend, so I came across Wobble Café on Unilocal. I could tell there was some hesitation in my wife’s face as we entered the place but to me it felt like home(she grew up in suburban Florida while I am from a rural Mass town). Clearly a family run establishment so if you are going to judge it, please do so with that as a consideration. Some of the staff are not professional wait staff but rather kids who are just learning. Once you get over this, you can enjoy a home cooked breakfast in a cozy environment. My meat breakfast puff pastry was unique and delish and my wife’s French toast was nothing particularly special but met expectations. With a coffee, iced chai latte, tax and tip the price was still only like $ 26! We wobbled out happy and will likely return hungry sometime soon :-)

This is the best veggie-friendly place in the Ossining area. I used to live nearby and went here at least once a month for breakfast(which is a lot for me). Get the homemade donuts(‘frats’), the migas, the gratin, the green eggs, or the pain perdue(fruit & cheese stuffed french toast). Try the Vermonster for lunch. And keep an eye on the specials, they’re almost always amazing.

What a hidden gem in a nice, quiet neighborhood! The food is fresh and delicious and the service is pleasant, like you’re part of the family. The spinach salad was beautiful and flavorful. The fruit is a nice alternative to the home fries when ordering the omelette.

I’ve been to Wobble Café 3 times already but my third time was the least favorable. I went with my fiancé and we order breakfast. He had an omelette and pancakes, I had the«Norm» scrambled eggs with cheese bacon and side of fruit. It wasn’t very busy there at all maybe 3 – 4 tables and it took over 40 mins to get our food. I even mentioned to my fiancé this is a type of place we can’t be in a rush to go somewhere. Even the table with 4 ladies were wondering where there food was. Everything tastes fine, but the croissant that came with my order tasted funny, as if it wasn’t fresh and was in the fridge absorbing all sorts of smells. The service was super slow it took another 20 mins just to get our check and the waitress all though she was really nice was just not on top of things. I’ll give this place another chance one day but def not going to be my go to place from now on. Bummer

This place is very lovely and welcoming. the food is good, but as of right now I am 6 months pregnant and my taste buds are off. But the milkshakes are good! The staff is very nice and run around like crazy trying to make sure everyone is happy, despite all the BS they put up with from guest, the wait is kind of long for food when it’s busy, but people do not see that it is busy so they complain as if the chefs in the back have extra hands to feed about 50 people at once«Umm excuse me, how long till»… or «where’s my stuff»? Overall it’s a cute homey place and I’d go back.

great find. good food– especially French toast and migas. fun atmosphere. would be a five if they could solve that perennial issue of how small places can control the arctic air blast coming in the front.

I went in to the Wobble Café today for the first time as it was one of the only local places I could find with crepes. While the crêpe was okay(not the best, not the worst — it just ended up not being what I was looking for), I felt compelled to write a review regardless. The woman who I presume is the owner was absolutely lovely; very accommodating, and very friendly. The girl working at the counter was fairly unresponsive(for example, she ignored me when I asked her a question about the café) and unhelpful(couldn’t answer questions I had about their dessert offerings), until it came time for her to ring me up for my take-out order. My total was a little more than $ 6, and after she put the bill down I put down $ 10 to pay for it. She immediately said, «So are you going to need change?» and looked at me expectantly. Having worked in the restaurant industry, I don’t consider it standard by any means to tip on takeout orders — ESPECIALLY not to-go orders that total less than a Jackson. The fact that she would ask that — and seemingly presume I wanted to leave almost $ 4 on a $ 6 order — made me wildly uncomfortable. I’ve been told time and time again in fine dining and the like that the question, «Will you need change?» is almost a faux-pas. In this situation it was without a doubt, and I don’t see myself returning some place where the staff is like that.

My fiancé and I stopped into the Wobble Café the other day for some lunch before work. The food was pretty good! I had the portobello burger and it was super juicy, I loved it. Also the fries were perfect. My fiancé had the Mac n Cheese, he enjoyed it, but thought it was pretty bland, probably not something he’d order again. My only complaint is they’re menu is very small and limited.

One of three hip places in Westchester. Go there if you miss Berkeley and need relief. Also for the excellent, quirky food.

If you can get beyond the day care atmosphere, the food is great. Menu is fresh and creative and thankfully limited with enough variety that I continue returning. Hot drinks(coffee and tea) need to be hotter. We discuss every time Im there but overall a unique, distinguishable spot with a a local touch. Worthy of a visit.

This review is my personal opinion and should be viewed as such. Everyone has different tastes. I’ve been to Wobble once before for dinner and wasn’t impressed. Since it’s been a few years, I thought I’d give their breakfast a try. I mean, who can mess up breakfast? We had the kids pancakes, which were actually quite good. For $ 6.00, I expected a larger serving or lower price. What you get isn’t worth what they charge. That’s their one star. I had the«the norm» breakfast, with no meat. Two scrambled egg whites, pretty overcooked, making them tough and dry, not light and fluffy. The home fries were awful. Extremely rubbery and bitter. I don’t know if they were left over from the previous day or if that’s how they make them. The best part of the meal was the dry whole wheat toast. I should of checked the bill more thoroughly as well, so that’s my fault. The norm is on the menu for $ 6.75. I was charged $ 9.50. They said it was because of the price of eggs and I had asked for egg whites. I specifically said TWO egg whites and that’s what I got. I didn’t get or ask for three or four egg whites. It cost me almost $ 3.00 for them to not use 2 egg yolks. Insane. I wasn’t going to argue about it, I just wanted to leave, badly. I don’t understand the stellar reviews for this place, a sentiment echoed by others. I’ve had excellent breakfast before, many times, and this was not it. Not even close. A shame really, it’s a nice store front with a nice interior. Too bad I’ll never see it again.

I love this mom and pop store on a little street in Ossining! I’ve been here a few times since I grew up in Westchester. Most recently, I came here with a few friends for an early morning breakfast and I was reminded how delicious this little café is. The staff are extremely friend and it’s nice to always see the same faces here. In fact, the staff always remember my friends, who are there quite often. The breakfast menu was two pages and there was something for everyone! I got an egg white omelette at a very reasonable price and my friends got their usual– scrambled eggs with bacon and a Mexican egg dish. I considered getting the pancakes with quinoa mixed in but decided against it(although o may try them next time.) The total bill was under $ 40 with 3 drinks! When I needed a refill on my hot water, I didn’t have to wait at all to catch the waiter’s attention. This café is a great place to take your family or your significant other — they have a small area for kids to play and intimate tables for couples. For any occasion, this is your place.

Food was not as good as I was hoping. The service was slow to despite it not being busy. When my sister who visited recently suggested this place, I suggested otherwise.

Great food. All fresh and home made. It is a small place where none of the tables, chairs or benches match. I recommend going there when it is not too busy. It is definitely no an IHOP. It has a Vermont feel to it.

If a quaint breakfast nook is your cup of tea, then this is the place for you when visiting Ossining. The décor, ambiance and fare come together nicely to make this a truly unique experience. I tried their breakfast strudel with meat and note that the vegetarian was the other option available and one I will try on my next visit. I also tried their pumpkin spice latte, and though I have tasted better, it was not a deal breaker. Overall, an experience worth remembering.

Breakfast took 25 minutes to cook. We had an omelette, 2 eggs over easy and an order of silver dollar pancakes. Nothing special but the omelette was terrible. The spinach inside was not cooked and the cheese was congealed over an overlooked omelette. The home fries that came with the eggs were dry and undercooked. We used to love this place but service is very slow and food not worth the wait. The waitress was nice.

Well, I used to really like Wobble but they have been hit– or miss recently. I still frequently visit for brunch because the food is often spot on, and i like to gamble :) I would skip the pancakes as they always taste like someone was a little heavy with the baking powder) Otherwise the food is pretty creative and as i mentioned«often spot on». The chef should be commended for her creativity use of non traditional ingredients to compile some pretty awesome«specials». I can’t help but criticize the undereducated«Hostess» who seems to be at war with the customers. I cant tell you how many times i’ve seen her give these ridiculous wait times to customers coming through the door. At any point if she tells you 45 minutes, …Stop,… take a look around and gauge it yourself. Obviously the use of a floor chart is lost on her. Most of the time the wait is 15 minutes(no biggie) Time and time again i’ve noticed her lack of understanding on how a dining room works negatively affect this otherwise pretty cool business. Customers simply turn around and walk out after hearing her(shot from the hip) wait time. Its never been more than 15 minutes regardless of what she has said. She often rolls her eye’s and can be seen clearly frazzled and stressed out over this quaint 25 seater. She also takes great pride in her ability to explain that«we can’t seat 2 people at a table for 4» Um really? because there is nobody else here? It’s never good business to turn away customers unless you run the risk of loosing income to the unoccupied real estate. Listen, I get it,…No two’s sat at a table of four, however… if i give you two this table of four, can i put two other tables together to accommodate 4 folks if they happen to walk in? answer,…remove head from ass and look around. Why yes, …yes i can, and i don’t have to piss off this table for two. I can also get them in and out quickly to obtain their money and repurpose the table for another group. Its not rocket Science,…at all. I like this restaurant its ran as though money isn’t everything, a somewhat endearing quality. However it appears to be somewhat of a joke. Its not ran with any efficiency, there is a «Kids play area» which occupy’s what could be a money generating piece of real estate In my many years of experience, restaurants that are ran this way often burn out quickly. A proposition which saddens me in its inevitability. I look forward to my next meal at wobble although I will ignore whatever the hostess says and scoff at her inability to manage a very small dining room, it really would be comical if it wasn’t costing this restaurant money.

Ok, so the breakfast was quick and delicious. The donuts were some of the best I’ve ever had — made to order and crisp on the outside. The bad part was the seating, just too cramped. I mean we were eating family style — seated right next to another couple — not cool. Looking around, it didn’t look like any seating was close to semi-private. Even though the seating was bad, the food and service was more than able to make up for that one unavoidable oversight.

We love the Wobble café! Everyone there is so friendly and is great for families with kids. Very kid friendly, they have a little section with toys and books like a little play area to keep the kiddos entertained, sometimes the owners’ kids will be there too. We love going there for breakfast, their migas are delicious and I always love trying their specialty of the day.
