We have loved Wimpy’s for years. The pub is very casual and friendly and the food is amazing. The restaurant is very cozy with it’s fireplace. The food is amazing and the staff are always very pleasant. Be sure to try their chowder. Yummy

Lots on menu to choose from. They have GF on the menu. . They immediately get two stars for a gluten-free menu…

We love wimps! Food is consistent and homemade, wine is great, prices are better. My family has enjoyed wimpys for generations.

Not sure what all the hype is about. I would consider this a mediocre at best seafood restaurant. I went with a group of people. We started off ordering a bunch of appetizers. The fried oysters were good but the stuffed mushrooms were drowning in butter and the steamers were sandier than the Cape’s beaches. I ordered the fish and chips for my meal and they were nothing to write home about. I would rate them as average at best. The service was spotty at best. The food came out fairly quickly but it was hard to find the servers to get a refill on our beverages. I hope this was a fluke but I am not on the Cape very often so I do not think I will be back.

Eggplant was delicious, enough for leftovers. Lisa is great making sure we had everything.

Great restaurant in Osterville. Old school atmosphere with excellent service and good food. The potato peeler appetizer was the bomb, sliced potatoes broiled with cheese and bacon if you wish. Anka, our waitress was so nice and efficient. Eggplant parm was excellent and freshly prepared with a huge portion of pasta. Pot stickers were also excellent. Grape nut custard was to die for. Huge menu with something for everyone. Love this place and can’t wait to go back. Fish market next door was great also and have a lot of the same things on the menu to go.

Always, always a great dinner. The grilled swordfish fish never disappoints, cooked perfect every single time. Everything from salad to dessert tastes homemade, but better! During the summer months be prepared to wait as it is always a full house, but it is worth the wait.

#greatfood #greatservice #definitely a must visit in the Cape. We were pleased with the excellent service. The cornbread is really good and the Fisherman’s platter is a huge portion for the price.

Made the early bird and got a whimpeys fisherman platter. The corn bread was outstanding as precursor to fresh garden salad. We got a nice bottle of Chardonnay to compliment our seafood choices. Amazing portion sizes the main courses will fill you up. Great dessert choices to choose from as well.

We felt food was ok; but not inspiring. Huge portions are served. Our server was very nice, I had the seafood stir fry. It was ok, but not great.

Really pleased. It’s still alive and well. First time visitors. Everything was excellent. Server Jess was polite, perky and efficient. Clam Chowder was thinner than expected, but superb flavor. Combination of stuffed shimp, lobster and scallops was great, crispy stuffing without over cooking meats. Boiled lobster was just right. Bellied fried clams were crisp and the oil was not over used. Don’t allow corkage.

Always consistently good. Service was excellent. Spinach salad was very good at $ 9.99 and lunch special $ 7.99 ½ wrap with soup and pasta salad. I tend to have to salt and pepper my food whenever here so it lacks a little taste but still a good option for lunch.

One on the most arrogant places in the Cape. We sat at the Bar. Bartender got me the wrong beer, but I drunk it anyways. Do u think he offered another beer or even apologized? He later screwed our appetizer order after almost an hour waiting. Do you think he apologized? I paid x the lousy 3 beers and we left. Never, again. Bushleague service. Its beyond me places like this remain in business today. LOUSY!

— uninspired restaurant in need of renovation — food was OK… ordered the chicken potsticker appetizer, and the dumplings were clearly not homemade and surrounded by veggies that looked to be frozen — for a large party, we had to ask for bread instead of it being offered — not a good vibe /energy about the place — best way to describe the food would be average cafeteria food

Great local place to eat. We stopped to get some take out while running the Cape Cod Ragnar race and every other place in town was closed at 830 on a Friday night. The hostess was extremely accommodating and the food was great!

The stuffed cod and lobster/crab chowder were delightfully fresh, crisp and tantalizing. The service was excellent and the prices unbelievably affordable for what you get. This is a MUST if you’re in the area.

Took my folks here when they were visiting and they loved it. The muscles were increadable, drinks strong and service was good. Has an «old cape cod» feel with its dark woods and roaring fire place. Really great.

The atmosphere is really nice and the waitstaff was very polite. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer, but the combination of the heavy cheese dip and the fried bagel chips made for a rather heavy dish. It wasn’t bad just a little bland and somewhat greasy. We ordered a turkey dish, fried quahogs, a chicken cranberry panini and a chicken sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their main dishes a lot, although I probably would have avoided the fried plate if I had know the artichoke dip would be so filling! Overall, it’s a good restaurant that I’d definitely visit again.

We ate here three out of five nights on the Cape. My parents loved it, my fiancé didn’t think it was that special. I am somewhere in between. I will say they have an excellent baked schrod and baked potato and service was nice, also the French Onion soup was good but HOTTERTHANHADES, cool it down a little bit, please! I think the only thing worth getting for dessert is the ice cream sandwich. Literally, like a Hood ice cream sandwich. My mom got the flourless chocolate cake and I think it had to have been frozen as it had a brick like consistency, but she tried to muscle her fork into it to eat it. They have grape nut pudding that made my dad happy. I tried it and didn’t like it all. I thought I would love it but something felt off about it. Still, their schrod and baked potato make me happy so they get four stars.
