The helpful hardware man lives! I shop exclusively for all my hardware needs at this location. It has the feeling of a small family-​owned business. Everyone is really friendly and helpful. I find it much more convenient to shop here than to go to Home Depot where I can never find anyone to help me (let alone find the end of the store that has the item I am looking for). All the front end cashiers they have working there are really friendly as well.

We have rental properties in Oswego and when in need of things to fix at one of our units, we always come to Ace Hardware. We believe in supporting this local hardware store to keep them in business. However, they really need to keep the store stocked better. Tonight, they only had one toilet reinforcement ring we needed and were out of a particular brand and size of furnace filters. This causes us a second trip and having to run to a big box store like Home Depot to get what we need. This happens to us 8 out of 10 visits to this store!

Every time I walk in someone offers to help me right away and makes sure I know where to start looking for what I need even if I don’t request help. Prices are high — but not another place around that carries as many individual and hard to find fasteners .

This is my go to home improvement store. I’ve been in the store a number of times and experience has been very pleasant. They even helped me load my new large grill into the truck. Too bad they couldn’t put it together.

Excellent service and professional staff. ! I shop here all the time as my parents live in the area. They are always so kind and helpful and I usually always need help to figure out my projects. Never had a bad experience in over 100 visits. Great neighborhood store.

Ace Hardware in Oswego is small by big box store standards but crams a lot into a small space. I have found the prices to be slightly higher but an acceptable trade off when convenience and time savings is factored in. Sometimes I just don’t want to fight the traffic and lines at the Lowe’s, Home Depot and Walmarts of the world.
The service is knowledgeable and friendly and I’ve found they carry everything I need.

My go-​to hardware store. Good selection, especially for fasteners, small stuff, etc. Prices are a little higher than the big box stores, but I always get what I need. More importantly, the staff is very good and knows how to fix everything. Plus, they fix screens, sharpen mower blades, cut keys, etc. All the stuff you need.
