Traveling through Oswego, we found this little gem. The food is standard diner food… omlettes, pancakes, waffles, toast, etc. If you’re looking for upscale dining, this isn’t the place, but the food is well above average and the décor was very nice for a diner. It was also my favorite eatery in all of Oswego. Plus it seems like a great place to be a regular. If you’re in the area, check it out!

When I saw the sign«Coffee at Lauries» it was enough for me to turn around and stop in. I LOVECOFFEESHOPS! I grabbed my computer expecting free Wi-Fi. When I opened the door I was taken aback, «Coffee at Lauries» isn’t a coffee shop at all, but a Diner. I decided right away to just ask for a cup of Jo and skedaddle. The décor is well above standard for the area. And the service was good, with a smile. The Coffee, however, was somewhere between sub-par and awful. I ended up throwing it out. It was weak and bitter. It wasn’t ground there, but prepackaged in single serve foil bags and brewed in traditional pots. If you stop at «Coffee at Lauries» don’t order the coffee. The rest remains to be seen.

Cute diner in the middle of nowhere. Not a ton of selection, but the chocolate chip pancakes are good. Home fries are okay, too. Overall the food is nothing special, just typical diner food. The service is good — it’s a small enough place that if you go often they start recognizing you.
