A five star organization. Management is on point as well as the employees work ethic. I am a devout regular here and support this business 100%. Not to mention, the Ice Cream is probably the best in the area. It’s well worth the money and even a drive to get to. Sit down with the family, smile, and enjoy the best good mood food around! You can even take a quarts of ice cream home as you probably will. They have a promotion currently which is buy three quarts get the fourth free. Mix and match at your will.

Awesome ice cream!!! Delicious chocolate milk! My fav ice cream is definitely the chocolate peanut butter, best of 2 worlds. Pricey for sure, but you get what you pay for. My go to place when I want to treat myself!

Worst Ice cream ever! I bought a pistachio ice cream and it was BAD! It taste like ginger and not pistachio. First of all the color is not even green, it was yellow. I asked the workers if this was pistachio they said yes and they said the color wasn’t green bcuz there was no natural preservative… But they said some patch is green and some are yellow… That doesn’t make any sense… Never come back here!

I go to this Oberweis very frequently. I love it! In my opinion, this Oberweis and all other ones have the best ice cream in the Chicagoland area, and possibly in the world! Their pure milk, their drinks (lemonade, raspberry lemonade, iced tea, fruit punch, summer blend, eggnog, etc.), their yogurt, their shakes… everything is so good! The employees are kind and the manager is helpful. So why, you might ask, should I go to this ice cream and dairy store? Because it’s awesome!

I’m cutting two stars… A while back they changed GM’s. The place itself is still great, but the New GM has blown off a comment I made about changes she has made and one compliment I made, walking away after giving me a one line answer. Now, I admit it was not over anything big and im giving this more weight that i should, but at least engage the conversation, ask why I feel that way, show a little concern. I do not appreciate it. Also, everyone was always greeted and spoken to like family with the last GM. I have not seen that at all, could not even tell you her name and I used to go at least once a week with family and friends. This makes me sad… I love this place but have literally stopped going there. :-(

Service was great on a Saturday night, everything was perfect. Only thing I would change if I could would be the prices. Two scoops of ice cream was $ 4.99 extra $ 1.35 if you want a waffle cone!
I know you expect high prices for chain ice cream places, just an FYI before you go. But it is very good!

Love Oberweis. Grew up in Aurora and remember going to the Lake Street location before they went all big time.
Love the chocolate shakes and I have a hard time getting anything else in the store. I’m a creature of habit, but I love the shake so much I’m not willing to divert.
Milk products are very good (of course the chocolate milk is the best). We also like the lemonade.
Some people may be taken back by higher than average prices, but you get what you pay for.

Amazing chocolate milkshake. Seriously, this is what every other chocolate milkshake aspires to be.
Clean place, busy, chess boards on the tables. Already a winner for me. The ice cream is awesome, the staff is friendly, and I liked it so much I picked up a quart in hopes I could keep it cold on the 12 hr drive back to NJ. It melted, but I am happy to report it has since refrozen and is still awesome.
Definitely go.

This place was really busy the evening we stopped in. Imagine ~ ice cream on a hot summer evening ~ what are people thinking?
They are thinking it is totally worth the calories and cholesterol boosting treat which they are about to enjoy :) I must confess, the seasonal flavors made the choice difficult, but blueberry pie won. It even had little pieces of pie crust and tasted much better than any pie from an oven.
They do make it difficult to leave without first stopping to check out the goodies in their freezer.

You must try Oberweis if you have not! It is so good!!! Chocolate Peanut Butter is the best in my opinion but they have plenty of different flavors, shakes sundaes etc etc. If you eat there your ice cream comes in glass and the atmosphere is so clean and always refreshingly cool on a hot day. Be sure to get some milk to take home its the best in the glass jar. The new chocolates they have beat fannie may hands down!

If you don’t know about Oberweis Ice Cream… you just must not be from around here. Some of the best ice cream and milk/​dairy products you can buy without all the fake/​artificial crap.
More expensive that Dairy Queen and Baskin Robbins… and much better.

I’m surprised no one has said anything about Oberweis Ice Cream. What better than a chocolate shake served in a chilled schooner topped off with whipped cream. Just a super treat on a summer’s evening.
