Atmosphere is nice, ordered a chicken pesto panini, not to garlicy. Nice place for a quick lunch or place to watch a game.

Loved this place. Good, old-school, family owned bar in an old freight house building that was owned by family for years. We did not eat, but stopped in for a drink. Daughter(forgot her name) was bartender and gave us the background on the place. Very personable and one of those bartenders that pays attention to every customer, and is ready with another drink before yours is empty. Will definitely be back.

Great lunch at the Press Box. The shock top Shandy beer was really good! Lemony flavored beer that hits the spot on a summer day. I had a Reuben which was perfect. The wraps looked good and a four way appetizer was hot and tasty. Great place to eat.

If your looking for your typical sports bar you’ve come to the right place. With more TV’s than you can count the game will always be on. The food is your standard pub selections. But, in the past few years they’ve started to expand the menu to include some more healthier selections. The Press Box has always been commended for the outstanding burgers. It had been my go to dining spot for the last decade! The service here has always been great. With the staff remaining the same for a long time they always make you welcome.

I love this place. If you’re into sports, the PB has both several large flat screens playing Live games and even individual table flat screens that you can choose your own games from a variety of channels. Full service bar for those wanting more than beer. The food is tasty. The buffalo chicken nachos are awesome(I get them with grilled chicken breast vs fried chicken tenders to make it gluten free). Speaking of which, they have a dedicated gluten free fryer for fries! There’s several menu turns that are gluten free or can be made GF. My fave is the baked haddock sandwich(no bun) with GF fries. It’s awesome! Theres also several hard ciders(naturally GF) available. I hear the pizza is excellent, but since it’s not GF I can’t personally comment. There’s several copious salad options for those wanting lighter fare. The atmosphere is cozy. Warm propane fireplaces really keep it toasty on cold winter nights. You can sit outside in the summer on the patio. The servers are friendly and efficient. They do a great job for office holiday parties too(think quesadillas, shrimp cocktail, nachos, pizza-if it’s on the menu, they’ll do it). It’s as good as it gets for inexpensive, tasty fare.

Food is a bit touchy, I’ve had some good meals here and I’ve had some things that I didn’t really want to finish and that I could prepare much better myself. It’s a sports bar with sports bar food… I will say that the French onion soup is good every time and hits the spot on a cold day. The main saving grace are the friendly waitresses tending the bar and the tables; I would rate their personability and the quality of their service high, but the food relatively low. Also seems to be a lot of flies in here, but the portions are decent and they don’t eat too much anyways.

Unhealthy? Yes, probably but if you’re eating at a beer and consuming alcohol you shouldn’t be worried about fat free dressing. The patio was comfortable with a nice(distant) view of Lake Ontario, and the food was good enough for me to wipe my plate clean. Fried zucchini was delicious and the criss cut fries were good too. Nice price overall too. Two meals and 4 beers for $ 31 made my belly and my wallet happy.

A must stop for friendly service and good food. Enough about the unhealthy, It is a sports bar with a nice outside deck right across from the Best Western. The burgers were awesome and the buffalo chicken nachos were a melted heaven. After a 6 hour ride to Oswego from Long Island for the old college orientation the Bass Ale was crisp and clean perfect pour.

Friendly wait staff, good bar food, drinks are well priced. Less than a block from Best Western and Econolodge on 1st St. Drinks are cheaper than GS Steamers in the Econolodge if you don’t care about a patio overlooking the river. Seems family friendly early in the evening becoming more of sports bar as the night progresses. Worth checking out.

Might be ok if you catch them while they are open… Website says they are open until 2am daily. Went in Sunday at 10 and they had closed the kitchen before 9. Bartender said they always close the kitchen early but stay open for beers until late. Tried again Monday at 1030 to watch the world series and NFL with some beers and this time I was told they were closed completely, though the staff was still hanging around. As far as I can tell the only reason to try again is 1) across from the hotel and 2) cute bartender Lauren was super nice. Good luck.

Nice bar/restaurant. I had the Shroom Burger and it was very tasty. A good place to eat close to the hotel.

As another Unilocaler said, it’s all terribly unhealthy. That said, it’s tasty. If you go for breakfast, you can’t go wrong with an omelet, but the Belgian waffles are where it’s at. Lunch and dinner offerings include a bunch of good sandwiches and such. Each booth has its own TV, which is a nice touch, and there are several larger TVs around the room playing whatever sports programming is on. The atmosphere is what you’d expect of a sports bar. Not necessarily my cup of tea, but it is what it is.

Horribly unhealthy food. Even the salads are full of bacon, cheese, other saturated fats, and sugary sweet salad dressings. I will say that they do have quite a variety of interesting veggies on their menu. But they’re always paired with bread(white, not whole-grain), cheese, steak, etc. Not a legume in sight. One redeeming quality: the staff. Our server was great. She was very accommodating when I asked for some changes to my salad.

Press box is a great place to check out«the game,» whether it’s a football game that is obnoxiously only on the NFL network, or a hockey or baseball game to watch with a group of friends, the Pressbox is a great place to do it. They have a number of beautiful HD televisions with digital cable and satellite giving them the ability to pull in many different feeds and most of then in high-def. They have decent pub fare. Their selection of beers on tap usually include Shocktop, Bass, Harp, Smithwicks, Bud, and Sam. During the summer they have a deck to enjoy the seasonable weather too.

The Press Box is one of the more popular spots for lunch in Oswego. The food is decent, especially for a sports bar. They’ve recently renovated /upgraded by improving their huge outdoor deck as well as adding several more televisions inside. Almost all of the indoor tables have a small LCDTV on the wall next to each table. They have satellite and cable TV, so you can watch just about any game /show you want. If you love to watch the game while eating and drinking, this is the place to go. If, like me, you think people who like sports are confusing, you can have a great time watching the discovery channel and making fun of sports lovers. Having lunch outside on a nice summer day in Oswego is one of my favorite things, and this is one of the best places for it.
