This place is the kind of old-​fashioned from back in the fifties of the last century, but without the smell that some of those places have, and with all the interesting cuteness and history.
And, believe it or not, it has a bathroom (!! Most important when you get out of that stretch of forest! And they actually let you use it!!) which is clean (!!), with that olé’ Americana charm.
What makes this place even more charming, is that it really is authentic: the staff takes the time to help you, with lots of additional information about any subject that you need to know.
The store itself is a delight to walk through (not for small children though) with bait, hooks, books, and all kinds of hunting and especially fishing supplies. As we were going crabbing she helped us with the allowed sizes, the best places on the coast, the net and bait: and it was soooo much fun with a bunch of teenagers!
Definitely a place we will be coming back to again and again, even if only to buy a soda and sniff some atmosphere.
