Ambience was nice. I ordered a meatball sandwich… okay bun, meatball was tasty, but dripping in too much liquid, made bottom of sandwich way to soggy. For the price a nice mozzarella cheese would have been of benifit. Side sauce was was barely warm. Salad was crispy, lettuce I should say, not much else in the salad. That was the best part of meal along with a nice merlot. over priced, poor quality.

They have done a nice job converting this from a Wendy’s into a nice looking restaurant. Atmosphere is nice. Food is just average. I wasn’t blown away, but yet I can’t really complain either.

I had an excellent meal here. They have a great wine list, and after dinner drink menu. The service was wonderful.

Hard to mess up Italian, but this place figured it out. Salad is an embarrassment, like 2 veggies in a big bowl of lettuce. Should of just called it lettuce with dressing. Food was bland, more flavor in a banquet microwave dish. Calamari was also poor. One of the worst meals I’ve ever had traveling.

We went here for lunch and couldn’t resist the pork tenderloin. The loin was big enough to make four sandwiches, it was breaded with Italian bread crumbs. If not for the flavored crumbs it would have had no flavor at all. The homemade soup was unique and tasted good. I will return but will probably try the hamburger. The prices seemed very reasonable.

This is one of our favorite dinner place in Ottumwa. Based on the reviews below, it’s clear that they were written when this place first opened. Yes, the restaurant didn’t get off to a great start because it was new — but its now really good. It seems to be busy every night because it is good.

To start restaurant looks nice compared to old Wendy’s it use to be. So yes to that. As we walked in fast and friendly greeting quick to get drink order. Both hostess and server was friendly. Placed our order got our salad. no bread sticks :(. Salad needs croutons needs to offer ground cheese. Food came and had to ask for the breadsticks. I had the Garlic herb chicken the chicken seemed like frozen the chicken breast you buy in the store in bulk for 4.99. Vegetables tasted frozen and were mushy with no flavor and the portion was about the size that you would give a child to at least try. This is the seconded time that we had been there and at this point we will not be back. Over priced for lack of food. This is Ottumwa not New York where you can charge a arm and leg for a crumb.

This is not an Italian restaurant. Italian restaurants don’t serve chicken fried steak. Italian restaurants don’t serve frozen ravioli. Italian restaurants don’t make supreme pizza. These oversights would have been acceptable back in the«Merigan» days of Chef Boyardee, but there is no excuse for marinara with a sharp, raw tomato flavor and not much else. There’s no excuse for chicken parmesan covered in, not parmesan as the name might, rather obviously, suggest is due, but pre-shredded, bagged mozzarella. And there’s no excuse for chicken soup made with canned chicken. I’m not sure how the middle American fare is, but if you’re expecting Italian you’re going to be disappointed.

I and 3 friends dined at lunch and were very disappointed. The service was poor, the prices high and the portions were small. Breadsticks were brought to the table when we set down(1 stick for each of us). Part way though the lunch one of my friends asked for more breadsticks. He was brought exactly 1 breadstick in a basket. The check finally arrived and the total was almost $ 60.00! For LUNCH and we had nothing to drink but sodas! This place is NOT recommended and I predict that if something doesn’t change in the near future, it will soon be out of business.
