Great little neighborhood bar. Pleasant staff and caring owner. Great drinks from what other patrons report since I don’t drink mixed drinks. Could add more wines for winter selection though — good quality Italians and Cabs for sipping and not in single serve bottles either. Same for summer whites. Prices are Ok, but NO happy hour or specials. Food is usually good, but portions are small and prices somewhat high. They have one pool table with league action on Thursdays. One golf and one pinball type machine. Decent juke box with Internet reach back to oldies plus new music. Clean ladies room, don’t know about men’s room. Best of all for people who still smoke, an outdoor somewhat covered patio with tables and lounge chairs. YEA! The smoke Nazis have not struck here. Overall, great little neighborhood bar, very friendly crowd, good staff, sports on TV, decent juke, great patio, pool table, and drinks/food served.

Nothing fancy here. Just cold beers and perfect mixed cocktails. Staff is always friendly. If you’re looking for fluff. This is not the place.

Being new to the area, I asked around for a small dive type of bar, and was immediately told about JJ’s. Were they right! Small, laid back. Lots of regulars, always friendly. Have been there 4 times so far, and they always have a beer ready for me, before I even get to the bar. The owner’s are exceptionally friendly. Good bar food, pool tables darts. And well stocked jukebox. Best of ALL? It’s within walking distance from my place. I think I have found a new home!

Good place to go grab a beer. Friday’s and Saturdays are lively otherwise a nice laid back restaurant and bar. Pool tables are good and straight and they have a good updated jukebox

Wow, how did I not know about this place? A genuine, honest-to-God, real-deal dive bar right in the heart of Overland Park! Small, dirty, and fun. The jukebox was under the control of a very intoxicated dancing couple, but they were playing good music from the ‘70s and early 80s. There’s pool tables and the bar hosts pool tournaments. There’s a few video games near the front. Sometimes there’s live music. The clientele here seems to be more upper 30s-50s… so this is a good place to get away from the obnoxious young drinkers. :)
