This is not the store I was expecting. It seems that they focus primarily on fitting elderly people into walking shoes. I was specifically looking for a certain type of insole. The manufacturers website said they carried them. They do, but I first had to take a number and then wait for my number to be called only have to ask an salesperson to get me the insoles.
I really hated that I couldn’t just walk in, pick up what I needed, pay and walk out. I was there for over 30 minutes and I was still waiting on my number to be called. I left and purchased the insoles elsewhere.

My my wife found just the right pair of shoes in just a few minutes with her first visit to the store. I was there in April and had a good experience with my new Balance shoes but had a question about them squeaking. The lady I was working with offered to try to troubleshoot the squeak. It turns out that the shoes just squeak. She even wxchanged the shoes to satisfy my squeaky problem. The moral is: the squeaky shoes get the fair exchange. It’s nice to get favorable service when you didn’t expect it.

I have a difficult time finding shoes that will work for my job, which requires a lot of standing on hard hospital floors. Some salesmen are better than others. I’ve had to return a couple pair of shoes that didn’t work out, but so far really enjoy the fresh foam running shoes they offer. Matt was very knowledgable and personable. Not only did he give me his suggestions, but asked if anything else caught my eye. I appreciated that because the first salesman I had there was pretty adamant that he knew best for my feet. I’m glad I checked out the New Balance store. Their new inserts have really helped my hurting feet.

New Balance has always been a favorite brand of athletic shoe for me and my husband so we were delighted to find the New Balance store here in the Kansas City metro area.
Our experience was quite good and I came home with well fitted, comfortable shoes that I feel will really suit my needs. Our sales associate was Nancy and she was both helpful and friendly. Ready to answer every question and give good, sound advice to be sure we had just what we wanted.
After our good experience, I can’t see shopping any place else for my New Balance shoes in the future.

«Hi, welcome to New Balance. I hate my job…»
It’s amazing how one salesperson can ruin your whole experience, but two salespeople with the same attitude is even worse! I was literally depressed when I left this particular New Balance store. They basically told us, «we don’t have shoes for your son, go to the mall.»
Beyond that, they just weren’t knowledgeable. They tried to sell us the exact shoes our son was wearing. When we pointed out that they were the same, just a different color, they just gave up.
The one thing that I can give them credit for is pushing us out the door and towards the mall; Stride Rite had just what we were looking for!
