Old fashioned decent barber shop. They’re excellent and have pretty decent prices. My first visit was on a Saturday and the place was full and had to spend a good amount of time before it was my turn. I’d definetly keep visiitng this place.

Cool old time classic barber shop! All barbers are friendly and have been cutting hair for a long time. Never had to wait long. It’s walk-ins ONLY, no appointments. Definitely found my permanent barber shop. Haircuts are $ 13 I believe.

Great little traditional barber shop! The owner\operator is a friendly, chatty guy with plenty of experience. He doesn’t rush if there is a line and is deliberate with every haircut. The price is low($ 11) and well worth it! He opens early 6ish which works well for my schedule. Definitely recommend!

Great place to get a hair cut. All the Barber’s super friendly and take the time to listen to what you want and deliver. Great Gem in the Historic part of OP. Love the collection of hats.

This place reeks of 1960s and 70s. Seafoam green sinks, emerald green barber chairs, old institutional floor tile(complete with non-matching patchwork). They have a pretty remarkable collection of ball caps that probably dates back well into the 1960s. My favorite barber here has been cutting hair at this location since 1960. My money is on the bet that the fixtures were new when he started working here. The most amazing part about that is they still work! So, here’s what you get. Good ol’ conversation with good ol’ folks who know all about good ol’ Kansas City. I love everything there is to love about this place. I can actually remember getting hair cuts here as a kid… it hasn’t changed a lick. We talked about The Royals and all things Kansas City. I got the haircut I asked for, my eyebrows and beard trimmed/shaped, and my ears buzzed. All for a whopping $ 12. I was waiting for Andy Griffith to come in and ask if Floyd was available for a haircut. LOL Just awesome! This is my spot for getting a haircut for sure. You can keep your fancy schmancy salons and mancave haircutteries and their $ 25 haircuts used mostly to pay for the aesthetics. Anyone with 50 years experience cutting hair and still going at it will get me in their barber chair without a fight. This place is a gem and I am glad it is a hidden treasure for true locals. It is a nice way to experience a time warp without getting jet lag. Red’s gets all marks in my book.
