This place is great! Not only will you find everything(and more) that you need in the travel store, but Gerry and his wife are absolutely THEBEST at customer service(which we all know is lacking these days). I had to book a group trip with specific arrival and departure times with groups coming from two locations. The Complete Traveler went the extra mile to find the best prices and meet the timing needs. In an industry that gets harder and harder to work with, The Complete Traveler made it so easy! Also, if you’re going overseas, then invest in the«No Jet-lag» product. Totally worth it and worked like a charm!

Oh man — I’m a sucker for pink-cheeked Irish grandpas — I am. You throw one in the worst restaurant in Kansas City and I’ll be tempted to give it 5 stars. This owner, the nicest guy, was on the phone when I first came in too — but ran over to me on his wireless to whisper, «I’m so sorry, I’ll be right with you,» in an Irish brogue — I told him to take his time. The store is small and sells useful trinkets like traveling hair straighteners and waterproof blankets and an unusual amount of men’s underwear — all things a traveler would need. But this isn’t how they make their paychecks, clearly. They sell travel packages, 8 days, 7 nights or 9 days, 8 nights to locations all over the world with a slight emphasis on Ireland trips. The Irish community in Kansas City is overwhelming — I’m a proud member, and he offers amazing travel packages there with options ranging from $ 778 to $ 2,200. All of the options include accommodations, in bed and breakfasts and travel within the country — they take you all over, meals, tours, and much more. The deal is actually fantastic because he has connections with businesses and site owners in Ireland, which keeps the prices down, I’m assuming because he gets money for bringing them business. My sister and I are currently planning a trip to Ireland and we’re planning it with this guy — he know his stuff, he’s from Ireland! He arranges everything and even takes over personal tour groups. They are also huge on planning golfing excursions, trips to South Africa, Europe, and really anywhere you want to go — they have connections, which is what using a travel agency is good for. And I mean no harm to Jeremy but I slightly disagree about the website. It’s no Travelocity, but what local travel agency is? I was expecting something that looked ancient — but it was really just simple. If they were selling products over the Internet I would expect something fancier — but it just outlines what they offer in the store — so it can be simple.

I assume you need to actually use a travel service before commenting on it. I never was much for rules so I’m gonna go ahead and throw that out. The shop is reason enough for me to open my mouth. Complete Traveler sure doesn’t have a complete line of books or travel gear. It’s a small shop over in downtown Overland Park. It took probably 10 – 15 minutes before someone greeted me. Normally, this would of put this eager traveler off if I had walked in with the purpose of leaving on a jet plane. Another one skirts by.. . One of the agents on the phone seemed rather loud and boisterous. I know she hates timeshares and apparently so should everyone. Being a budding web designer and a person who understands digital marketing, their website is atrocious. Typically, faulty and poorly designed sites reflect negatively on the business and often correlate to what you should expect from them. Houston, we have a problem.
